I purchased the Flopro Hose and Cart System (30m) from Amazon as a gift for my father. The item, which costs over £120, is covered by a 3-year warranty. Unfortunately, after just 2.5 years, the handle snapped while my father was winding the hose.

Upon contacting Westland Horticulture, the owners of FloPro, I was informed that this issue is not covered under the warranty. They claimed that the hose cart system had been used incorrectly and suggested that the breakage was due to abuse and improper storage.

Surely you can only wind a handle one way on a hose cart, that's what its designed for.

They recommended that the product be stored indoors, which is unreasonable during the summer when my father uses it daily to water his plants.

Having used other common garden hoses I decided to try the more expensive flopro.
Having read the other review on here it is true the hose reel is flimsy but if you roll the hose up leaving a small gap each side it works. You have to bear in mind the hose is a reinforced lay flat rubber so will expand when filling with water. I found that it un-kinked itself most times which to me is a big plus. The fitments that come with it are high quality compared to all the others I have used.
So if you are fed up un-kinking your hose try this one.

This has to be the worst hosepipe we have ever bought. The pipe kinks all the time so no water flows, the reel itself has no stability and keeps falling over trapping the hose as soon as you try and pull the hose through it. I complained as soon as I bought it and received no help at all from Flopro themselves who just sent me back to the store. The store refused to refund me even though the product does not do what it states on the labels or the advertising, all of which were sent to them. I can not understand why it was ever endorsed by the RHS.
