Lifetime guarantee 🤣

My flooring has chipped on the edges of 2 planks after only sweeping it with a soft brush.
I contacted flooring uk as the flooring I purchased came with a "lifetime guarantee ". I Sent photos as requested , they came back with,
It's not covered under the guarantee as it had been caught and was accidental damage.
I asked how I could accidentally damage it with a soft brush!!! They then said it could have been caused during installation which was 9 months ago.
As with other reviews on here, this company will wingle out of any guarantee.

Hello Gaynor, we have reviewed the images that you have sent. The corners have been chipped due to a localised issue. A soft brush would not cause an SPC click flooring product to chip away, as the layers are extremely durable, it is more than likely to have occurred with something more heavy duty scraping across the floor, where the tiles have not been clicked in correctly, the brush therefore may have then exposed this damage. We have suggested if you have no more tiles spare, that we would send a couple to you as a gesture of good will, so you can remove the damaged tiles and replace them. Please let us know how you wish to proceed. In terms of the guarantee, the lifetime guarantee refers to the wear layer of the product. This covers the product for wearing out, from standard wear and tear, such as the wear layer wearing out, removing the print film pattern, it does not cover installation and maintenance issues as these are nothing to do with the manufacturing of the product.

Useless guarantee - poor service

Poor after sales service-useless guarantee.
After 3 years, and still in guarantee the floor started to lift and split. I contacted UK flooring. With reference to poor fitting, wrong subfloor, fiitter error (any excuse) they asked me to send photographs, which I did. They then asked me to send more photographs, which I did. After these delaying tactics they told me to get an expert to look at the floor and wright a report. This would be at my expense. I considered taking them to the small claims court, but I could not do this due to my health. In short, they have stalled their way out of their guarantee. Any good company would have sent their own assessor at their expense. I will leave you to make your own mind up if you want to use this company.

Hello, i am sorry you have decided to post this review. However, we have the following information (confirmed from you via email), which we need to respond with, so people reading this can see that our service or product is not to blame, but the way it is installed and the incorrect materials used in preparation.

1. You purchased incorrect underlay for this floor, from a different supplier to ourselves. This underlay is not suitable for click vinyl flooring, due to its excessive compression, which results in the breaking of the click mechanism.

2. The total floor was installed (70m2) throughout the property, without leaving any expansion joints in doorways, even though rooms change in direction.

3. The flooring is a floating (click system) floor, however has been installed under all fixed units, preventing it from expanding and contracting. Again an incorrect installation technique.

At Flooring UK, we advise most people hire the services of a qualified flooring installer. However if attempting to install the floor themselves, to read up or call our team and ask for installation advice / instructions, to ensure the floor performs the way it should.

Very happy to do business with this company

I requested samples of an aged oak vinyl floor tile for a herringbone pattern. I got samples from 2 different companies and there was no comparison so I ordered from flooring uk. It was an excellent product both in terms of design and texture and the slightly bevelled edges give it very realistic appearance of real wood. I’m expecting to buy from this company again.

Hello George, we have looked into your order and believe that you ordered on the 28th October and received your order on the 1st November. Only 2 working days. We have had no emails or calls from you to let us know if you have had any poor service. If you could please get in touch to share your experiences that would be very much appreciated.

Outstanding customer service and a quality product!

Ordered 42 packs of flooring with door strips, Joel and the sales team accomodated everything I needed and were extremely helpful in getting everything loaded up for me when I collected. I cannot speak on the delivery as I opted to collect but everything in my experience was perfect. Would recommend them to anyone!

Avoid them to avoid DHL

I had no issues with ordering through flooring UK, I cannot comment on the quality of the product I order as I never received it, but I can review the awful delivery service. They use DHL and only DHL, upon delivery the driver refused to let me keep my order because I wouldn’t allow him to photograph my legs! His attitude was terrible and very argumentative, borderline intimidating, not an inch for compromise. It was an awful experience to have on my doorstep. Flooring UK were very polite (hence the 2 star and not 1) but I will not be having my order as they chose DHL over me. I am awaiting a refund. For this reason I would never use this company again nor recommend.

I have now reduced my rated due to the incorrect reply from Flooring UK. I did not refuse my order I only asked not to be included in the photo, I offered to have the photograph of the usual door ajar but this was not good enough. The option DHL gave me was... i MUST be in the photograph or no delivery WHICH i have never had before!

Hello Kikki, I am sorry about your experience, however we have spoken also to DHL, as with all modern delivery companies, the delivery driver takes photographic evidence of the delivery on your doorstep. This has never been a problem to any of our customers previously and we cannot understand why it was an issue with your delivery. The size of your order means we would only be able to send with our courier partner DHL. You refused to have them back and therefore we have refunded your order in full. Without any charge.

Paul, nobody has laughed at you. The design on the plank you are referring to is not a scratch, it is a part of the design on the print layer, which replicates the knots and markings you get with real natural wood. This is also present on every 1 in 5 planks from the millions produced each month by the manufacturer. You do have an option to exclude this particular plank out of the installation process and use it for cuts as explained, if it offends you so much. However Selling over 2000m2 each month of this very product, we have never had any feedback such as this. If you require any clarification from our manufacturer then please let me know, as like i have said it is categorically not a fault and is a design element.

Very poor service

I still have not received my order despite paying in full and despite being told my order would be delivered 5 days ago then 4 days ago! Now a disinterested employee says that I shouldn't have arranged for my floor to be fitted until it actually arrives.....they don't even trust their own delivery service! They just don't care. They blame DHL but they employ DHL!! Dont buy from them.

Hello Karen, i understand you ordered and paid on the Wednesday 6th October, your order was despatched on the 7th October, our courier partner can take upto 3 working days (most often than not its next day) to deliver. We have had the weekend (2 days) and then your order is out for delivery today 11th October, so in fact from the date of order it is 3 working days for delivery. Personally i wouldn't say that's poor service. Our staff member just pointed out our T&C's, whereby we recommend not booking in trades until in receipt of goods, this is standard practice. Hopefully potential customers reading this review, will see this review is unjustified and does not reflect "poor service"

Awful delivery

Awful delivery! The pallet was left blocking the driveway of the wrong address 20 houses away!!
They had the correct address. Luckily our phone number was on the invoice but had to arrange our own transport to move it back.

Would recommend

Vinyl click floor arrived 3 days after ordering, looks nice. On inspection one of the packs was damaged, after a few emails they sent out the replacement pack next day delivery so I could get on. Can't fault the customer service, the speed of delivery or the quality of the product.

I purchased Naturelle Pale Grey Slate Tile SPC Rigid Core Click Vinyl Flooring. This items was a bit pricey, however you get what you pay for! When my builder fitted this flooring in my kitchen he said it is the best quality vinyl click flooring he has fitted. I am extremely happy with the high quality of this flooring and I will definitely be purchasing more items from this website.

Joel most helpful person five *****

Was let down by another company and spotted similar click tiles on this site. As always worried about colour spoke to Joel who was brilliant and he advised that the colour was closes to a particular picture on web site on a phone. Explained urgency and he arranged to have them shipped for next day delivery and sure enough the arrived before midday next day. Marvellous service will recommend to one and all as it’s so rare that someone actually does what they say nowadays. As I didn’t have time to order a sample ordered the whole lot and acceptably Joel agreed that if I met carriage cost back they would refund original cost

This was the worst experience i have…

This was the worst experience i have ever had . I was given the wrong information from the start but very confident in feeding u the wrongs and rights . I had my flooring laid by cow boys which was appalling to say the least and once challenged give me threatening messages and the after care well wat can i say ? They tried to blame myself for agreeing to the product even though i was talked into having it and once challenged haven’t responded and except no responsibility. They left holes in my floor and my skirting boards recked .

Had problems, after 4 follow-up visits, still have problems

Note: FlooringUK uses contractors, so the contractors are the people who will do the fitting for you.

I ordered laminate/carpet and it was fitted as agreed. There was however a problem with the laminate/carpet bars that attach the carpet to the laminate; the carpet was higher than the bars, so you could see the underlay from a mile away.

I informed FlooringUK (Matt) and he very quickly got back to me and say they'd get the fitters to resolve it, which they did. Great.

EDIT: Taken down to 1* - the bars are rising from the floor. The carpet had been cut too short causing these problems. Couldn't recommend this. Poor finishing unfortunately. The bars all bounce - never seen anything like it - I've lived in several houses and haven't seen bouncy-bars before this. This visit resulted in a few more issues e.g cracked laminate etc Unacceptable for the money I've paid.

EDIT #2: Upgraded to 3*. After contacting Flooring UK, the fitters were sent out again to rectify the problem(s). It's now resolved. The after-sales customer service is quick to respond and fair. I do appreciate that the problem was resolved.

EDIT #3: Woke up to the bathroom bar raised off floor. Back down to 1*. Other bars still bounce if you touch/step on them. Do NOT recommend.

EDIT #4: This will be my final edit. After contacting FlooringUK they've been back out (4th time) and it looks like it's now resolved. Has been a stressful experience.

EDIT #5: I said it would be my final edit, but around 2-3 weeks after their 4th visit to try and fix it. I've got the following issues: 1) 2 pieces of laminate pointing at an angle (so they're a bit sharp/trip hazard) and 2) 2-3 doors haven't been shaved properly, so they're scraping the laminate when you open them!!! 3) The laminate bars are all over the place - gaps underneath on the left and glued down on the right. It's a total eyesore. It's just simply unbelievable. Why after the initial visit and 4 follow up visits can this not be done properly??

Unfortunately I'm not able to add photos to this review, but it looks terrible.

Thanks for reading.
