Avoid at all costs—Unreliable

Avoid at all costs—Unreliable, dishonest, and zero accountability.
I strongly urge anyone considering Flex Moving and Storage to look elsewhere. My experience was a nightmare defined by a total lack of communication, property damage, and a deceptive claims process.

The No-Show & Lack of Communication: After a phone confirmation, Flex simply failed to show up on my scheduled move date (Nov 2nd). They didn't call; they just didn't appear. I had to call over a dozen times before someone finally told me they had unilaterally "rescheduled" me. I was left in a packed house with no furniture, forced to spend my own money ($164+) on a U-Haul just to have beds to sleep on at the new house.

Property Damage & Incompetence: When they finally arrived two days late, the service was reckless. They dropped a $4,000 refrigerator, causing significant damage, and snapped the leg off a kitchen chair. Despite their "Veteran discount" promises and professional front, they treated my belongings, time, and me with zero respect.

The "Crickets" Claims Process: Filing a claim was like shouting into a void. For months, my inquiries were met with total silence ("crickets"). I eventually had to call from a different phone number just to get them to answer. They tried to hide behind Florida’s $0.60/lb law to avoid paying for the thousands of dollars in damage they caused.

Dishonest Resolution: Even after "Alexis" promised a small $380 settlement for the inconvenience and damage, they failed to pay it. It took a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the Texas AG for them to finally send a measly $200, which they labeled an "oversight."

Petty and deceitful: Flex demonstrated they were intentionally screening my calls. In the end, they only offered a tiny percentage of what they should have, and called it a good-faith attempt. One could only surmise their bottom line excludes integrity.

Unprofessional behavior cursing in front of a 5 year old

My daughter recently used Flex moving in Spring Hill Tennessee on a very short move to another location. Her king size sleep number bed frame was dropped and broke, Four month new washer was damaged along with other items.

The supervisor arrived and began cursing at the workers and they cursed right back in front of my daughter and a 5 year old.

They missed two dressers during all the yelling and then wanted to charge full price to go back. They were given videos and pictures of the damage and took 4 weeks to give a refund of $195.00 that does come close to damage the movers did. Michelangelo with claims was sent a written cost from sleep number of a cost of $399.48 to replace the broken section and he did not care.

All the cursing in front of customers was extremely unprofessional and should not be tolerated.

Avoid using this company

Avoid using this company! There were SO many issues!

1. They did not honor the original quote - said original salesman made a mistake and was no longer with the company. Increased the transportation fee by $150!
2. Poor communication - was always "transferred" or had to leave a message and no one ever returned calls
3. Showed up late on day of move
4. Brought a trailer that was way too small & wouldn't accommodate all of my items.
5. One of the movers was brought in from a temp agency and had never moved furniture before. The two movers argued constantly. The temp agency mover left in the middle of the job. Remaining mover had to wait two hours for a new crew (with an additional needed trailer) to show up. He did nothing during this time, yet I was billed for two movers for two hours in which zero work was performed.
6. As they were unqualified, they couldn't figure out how to move a corner computer hutch down the staircase. They subsequently scratched the wood floors by scooting furniture without any type of blanket or protection. They put deep gouges in the wood floors, as well. Broke the top wooden step and damaged the sheet rock in multiple locations along the stairwell.
7. It cost $765 to repair all of the damages. Flex only reimbursed me $130 for the damages they caused!
8. Left a part to my bed frame in the driveway. Luckily, I saw it and loaded it in my personal vehicle.
9. Was quoted $981 but charged $1,481 PLUS the cost I incurred in damages. They claim to be the most affordable but not true in the end. Do yourself a favor and hire actual trained, professional movers even if it cost a little more!

I was overcharged because of what I was promised by SALES

I was overcharged and no resolution was offered. This was due to the sales person making my move seem much smaller and sent a very little vehicle and only 2 guys... I moved from state to state 2 months prior using another company and the fee was half of what FLEX wound up charging me--this was unethical and I have requested a refund but nothing has been credited back to either my debit or credit cards. This company is FRAUDULANT. ANNNNNND I have MORE to say--I'll follow up with the company about the lack of professionalism of the movers as well after I get my $$ back

If I could rate a zero

If I could rate a zero, I would! Movers arrived and was very slow in starting work. They did not know how to dismantle the king bed, my husband had to intervene and assist. After 3.5 hours of moving, they informed us the king dresser was too heavy for them to move and that they did not bring the necessary tools to move safely. They left our dresser there, with no promise of moving at a later time. We had tenants moving in the next day and had to pay additional $270 to another team to get the dresser moved in time for the walk through.
On 2 separate occasions, 2 of your movers were standing outside chit chatting while the other was upstairs assembling the queen size bed. I had to ask them to put the dining table together. We have been charged additional fees for the incompetence of your employees. This is UNACCEPTABLE! You have charged an additional $210 and the work was not even completed! I demand a refund of the $270.00 that we had to pay out of pocket AND the $210.00 that was additionally charged. This is outrageous! We will report this to the Better Business Bureau and blast you guys on ALL review platforms!

What a sham of a company! You are not fit to be business! Twwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

• UNPREPARED and Inexperienced…

• UNPREPARED and Inexperienced Movers. They arrived with 1 old Furniture Dolly. I supplied a foldable cart that carries 360 lbs. and 2 large moving carts on wheels.
• UNWILLING MOVERS. Man 1 consistently stood against the truck scrolling on his phone. He appeared ‘sleepy,' often nodding off. I did not feel safe being alone in his presence.
• Can’t be trusted with their quote. When we arrived at my new apartment (Apartment B) in THE SAME COMPLEX, one man left. I paid for 3 movers.
• MAN1 threw a box labeled 'FRAGILE' into my cart. He laughed in my face when I firmly told him to be careful. Flex Movers sent an inexperienced, unwilling mover who damaged my furniture and treated my possessions with blatant disregard.
• MAN1 brought my leather chair upstairs and dragged it along the concrete hall to the apartment door. My leather furniture is approximately 2 years old. I said ‘stop, you're scratching it!' He dropped the chair. He then tried to pick it up, only to drop and drag it again along the concrete hallway.
• MAN1 broke the headboard and scratched several pieces from dragging it along the concrete. The bedroom furniture is less than one year old.
• Both men left, leaving me to unwrap my furniture from the plastic. Flex Move does not fulfil what is promised based on the quote. I had to reassemble my bed, although this service was included in the quote.
• Flex Movers Policy: "Under no circumstances shall Flex have any liability nor responsibility to reimburse you for any damages to any User Items that Flex has not individually and specifically inspected, packed, sealed, and photographed, including without limitation any items inside or in some way obscured by other items or packaging, such as User-packed items."
After several written complaints, Flex Movers reimbursed me $180 '‘for the 3rd mover who left the job.’ Flex Movers does not pay for furniture/belongings that are damaged per their policy:

Don't Use Flex Moving Company

I gave Flex a good review until I plugged in my 75in TV, that they broke. I immediately reached out and they refused to pay for it. I think this company is a joke, please do not use them if you value your stuff.

DO NOT USE FLEX STORAGE!

DO NOT USE FLEX STORAGE!! - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
Nearly everything we owned was stolen and the rest was damaged.
My wife and I used Flex to hold and transport nearly everything we owned when we were moving into our new house. Two containers.
The first container was broken into while they were holding it, all that remained was our 3-step ladder and a charcoal grill. Everything else was gone. The second container wasn't closed properly, so when it was opened on moving day, all the rainwater that had gotten into the container poured out. Mostly everything inside was moldy, warped and otherwise water-damaged.
As of writing this desperate warning to all of you to avoid this company, we have been contacted by Flex to inform us they're offering us $1225, because they're only responsible for $0.60/lb as a state mandatory minimum. In other words, that's all that the state FORCES them to pay, so that's all you can expect.
Flex lacked the grace to even act embarrassed about any of this, which means it probably happens all the time. Save your precious possessions, particularly the ones you cannot replace (my late father's watch is only one example) and make sure that no one you know ever trusts them with anything.

FLEX MOVING AND STORAGE COMPANY

FLEX MOVING COMPANY. Richardson, TX

I would like to inform anyone contemplating using FLEX MOVING COMPANY of my experience that I had when hiring them to move my belongings to my new residence. I warn you, it was a VERY unpleasant one!

1. I was expecting a truck to arrive at my apartment from which I was moving out of and instead they sent a pod, which they parked obstructing other residents from being able to use their parking spots, which led to complaints from other residents about not being able to access their parking spots.
2. When I spoke to their representative on the phone I explained that one of my couches was a three seater which had to be removed from the apartment over the balcony, as the apartments design did not allow it to be removed through the door. It was delivered by Ashley furniture this way, and I was assured that this would not be a problem, however on the day of the move, I was told that this would be impossible, and after lengthy discussions over the phone, I had no choice other than to abandon my Ashley three seater couch, which I had paid $600 for behind. (If this was not possible, their representative whom I talked to on booking them should have known this.)
3. I had shown the men who come to move my belongings EXACTLY what I needed to be moved, and on completion of the move, I had realized that they did not remove my laundry washer and dryer. Another loss I had to endure or spend more money hiring another company just for those, plus I had to be out of my apartment that day or I would have been charged for the extra time I would have had to spend in the apartment booking another moving company.
4. Also on completion of the move I found that I was missing items. I had kept all of my most valuable paperwork, (Original birth certificate, green card, social security card, other valuable items such as a Morgan 1921 silver dollar) in a pouch, so as not to lose them, and after the move was completed I found this was missing. I can only assume that one of the FLEX'S employees who had moved me had stolen it, as they were the only people in my apartment all day. On discussions with one employee I found out that FLEX pay their employees only $10 per hour, and also that they employ undocumented workers as their moving personnel. Upon contacting FLEX movers about this, I had explained what had happened and through several email exchanges, was ultimately told that they COULD NOT reimburse me for the cost to replace these items as the men who moved me denied having seen this pouch. (Of course they denied seeing it, otherwise they would be admitting they stole it.)

When hiring FLEX movers, I put my trust in them to be a reliable and trustworthy moving company as I had done my due diligence and checked many reviews about them, however through this whole experience I have found FLEX movers to be unreliable, unprofessional, and ultimately TOTALLY untrustworthy, and when things went VERY VERY wrong as they did, VERY unhelpful once you have paid your deposit.

I can only advise anyone contemplating hiring FLEX movers not to.

In total I had lost my Ashley three seater sofa, my laundry washer and dryer due to ineptitude of their sales representatives information and the unprofessional attitudes of the men sent to move my belongings. In total the loss of these items to replace would be over $1200. Also, because of the untrustworthiness of the men sent to move my belongings, the cost to replace my lost documents over another $1000. This would come to over $2200 I will be out of pocket to replace these items because FLEX movers are responsible for this ABSOLUTELY DISSASTEROUS moving day. FLEX movers have TOTALLY refused to compensate me for any of the losses I have incurred.

This TERRIBLE experience has left me VERY stressed and upset at the total lack of professionalism I had expected to have, but failed to experience.

DO NOT, DO NOT EVEN CONTEMPLATE HIRING FLEX MOVING COMPANY AS THEY ARE CHEAP AND VERY, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNHELPFUL ONCE PROBLEMS ARRISE.

I hope this review has helped you if you are looking to hire a moving company. DO NOT PICK FLEX MOVERS, you will regret it!

$56K Gone After 10 Months of Silence, Fee Hikes & No Lock—Avoid Flex Storage

Advertised budget pricing, escalating fees, no security, and unannounced disposal of high-value property

I signed up with Flex Storage on April 30, 2024, after being quoted roughly $40/month. Their advertising also promised GPS-tracked units and a free high-security lock. That all sounded great—until I actually started dealing with them.

Billing concerns:

The first invoice came in several times higher than the quoted price.
Over the next 10 months, the amount kept increasing, reaching 5–6x what I originally agreed to.
I emailed them multiple times asking why the rate kept rising, for a copy of my contract, and to confirm my unit was secured. No response—ever.
Security issues:

When the trailer was delivered, the driver told me they were “out of locks” and would bring one later. That never happened.
I waited 4 hours because the driver was also late to pick up the trailer after I loaded it.
For 2 full months, I emailed and called Flex asking where my unit was stored and if a lock had ever been added. Still no response.
In emails, they referred to my space as “unit XXXX,” which didn’t match anything, showing they might not have even known where my unit was.
They advertised GPS-tracked units with alerts if moved or opened. I never received any GPS access, alerts, or even confirmation of the storage location.
Even after 10 months of payments, I had no clue if my items were safe or even stored at all.
Collections pressure:

When I blocked my card due to the unexplained charges, I got hit with payment demands from a “collections department” using generic contact info that didn’t seem verifiable.
Out of fear of losing my belongings, I kept paying their inflated charges for months.
Disposal with no notice:

I blocked the card again on Feb 28, 2025. They attempted another charge that same day.
When I flew to Miami in April 2025, staff told me—via email and phone—that my unit had been “trashed” on March 3.
Later that same call, a manager changed the date to March 19. I have the entire call transcribed.
I was never notified by phone, email, or mail—no lien notice, no auction notice, nothing—despite them having my correct contact info.
They never even gave me the address of where the unit was stored, so I never saw the facility in person.
Property loss:
The unit held high-end designer goods, artwork, studio equipment, jewelry, electronics, and custom lighting—items collectively valued at over $56,000.

Legal action taken:
I have filed a police report and begun civil proceedings for breach of contract, deceptive practices, and civil theft. Based on my experience—escalating fees, zero accountability, no communication, and unnotified disposal of my belongings—I cannot recommend Flex Storage to anyone.
