Elite Flatrate team was an excellent!
Move went extremely well, it was seamlessly executed.
I was completely supported from start to finish, beginning with Dejon, Flatrate Manager planning the move and determining the crew to Erez, Lead manager on the day of the move.
Erez was absolutely fantastic (as usual). He managed the whole process with such ease and grace! He worked very hard and always with a smile 😊.
He is a true professional! I’m grateful to have his help- it made all the difference.
Adelpho was incredible too.
He was always smiling and doing a fantastic job too. I felt like Adelpho really cared, such integrity and did a great job!
He also managed Enrique and Dario, everyone was excellent .
They were the fantastic four yesterday.

Exceptional service. From the first video pricing, to the several calls, the emails, the move itself.. Accuracy and punctuality are their nature. Very professional, courteous, and friendly movers. They were quick and professional. They worked as a team to move my stuff quickly. Outside of a traffic delay, I was done and unpacked without any major obstacles.

Everything was great from start to finish. Adam, the sales rep was extremely helpful and my movers Josh and Anthony were FABULOUS. Everyone involved made this process as painless and stress free as possible and I am extremely thankful.

The men that moved me listened to my needs. The move was excellent. The only thing I was unhappy with is the move was suppose to happen in the morning between 9-10 but then they couldn’t get to me until 2:00. But they did keep me informed.

WORST MOVE OF MY LIFE! The movers asked for a bribe, they broke so many things, and dumped our stuff everywhere. They also have horrible customer service, avoid at all costs.

Our two movers Yusuf and Dees were absolutely fantastic. Very nice and helpful guys who arrived when they said they would. This was an international move from the south coast of England, to NY then onto Indiana into a storage unit. Nothing broken and everything intact.

This was my sixth move in ten years and Flat Rate was unbelievably amazing. From talking to Adam and the three men who did the actual move could not have been more efficient and helpful. No one I’ve used in the past can compare. I would highly recommend them.

The move was seamless from the estimate to to the movers who arrived on time and took great care with my furniture.

Flatrate was recommended by a friend. The initial contact was extremely pleasant and attentive. The sales person was eager to sign us up and readily available for any questions that came later. Sent over supplies in advance and was very friendly.
Then the day of the move came, it had been a while since my last move. It wasn't an easy day for me but that's besides the point. My issues were that a couch which was going to be donated to a worthy cause was torn in several spots on the move out and became garbage. I was not happy. Then, without having anywhere to find a home for two mid-century armchairs and matching ottoman, I opted to store them at the last moment and would deal with that later on.
I filed a claim for the damage couch mid April. Since we had no plans for a MOVE IN at that time I was told to wait and file later in the event anything else might happen during the move in.

Five months later was the move in. Two of the crew showed up around 9:00am but then nothing happened for hours. The items finally starting coming in to the apartment by 1:00pm. Needless to say a frenzy to finish by 5:00pm, building requirement. When all was said and done there were nine shattered china plates from our wedding pattern received 40 years ago. A few other day plates were broken. And those two chairs and ottoman that I mentioned, were nowhere to be found. Completely missing. Never delivered. No one knew anything.
Forced to file yet another claim, I did so end Sept with documentation.
On Dec 4th, over two months later from the move in and 7 months from the move out, we receive a DISMAL check. They would never admit to losing the furniture or consider a possible theft. My attempts to get information from time to time about the claim was exasperating. Get a person on the phone? Good luck.

There is nothing more to say except.....consider purchasing the added insurance for "Replacement Value". We didn't do that because we thought our homeowner's insurance would suffice so instead we were paid 60 cents per pound for the claimed items.

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. The movers packed my belongings, but then got stuck in my building’s active driveway. They unpacked all of my belongings from the truck, leaving them on the street and sidewalk for people and there pets to walk thriugh. For 4.5 hours, no cars could get in or out of my HOA building, and I was subsequently charged for the inconvenience.

In addition to this, some of my belongings were damaged. I had purchased additional insurance because I’ve had bad experiences in the past, but this situation was beyond frustrating. I also had a separate pile of furniture that I specifically requested to be left behind. Instead, the movers used my bed and entertainment center to try and get the truck unstuck—despite me having video evidence where I clearly told them that this furniture was not trash.

This situation has caused me financial strain, as I’ve had to replace major items due to the movers' negligence. I’ve been patient, providing the company with video and photo evidence, and even agreed to accept less than the total value of my damaged items to settle the matter. However, communication from the company dropped off completely. After numerous emails and calls, I finally received a response, but now, over a month later, the claims department is trying to justify the actions and extend the timeline to 6 months instead of the 30-day resolution I was initially promised.

It’s unfortunate that FlatRate hasn’t taken the necessary steps to rectify the situation. I was hoping to leave a review commending them for handling this rightfully, but that has not been the case.

Fast - I called and they took my furniture for storage the next morning!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
Not only were most of the boxes crushed they destroyed my new 65” OLED TV.

Good thing I packed my dishes or I’d be eating off of paper plates.

They refuse to take responsibility.

If you choose these scammers since they “LOW BALL” you on price, make sure you don’t let them move anything of value.

STAY AWAY

I had a difficult move. It was from the top floor of one walkup to the top floor of another, with an insane trip through the neighboring building’s rooftop to move in a dresser. Daniel Vega (?) and his 2 workers did an amazing job, they kept their cool despite the many challenges. I was happy with the price and tipped them generously as a result. Even the sales process was easy, including my need to delay and to get a COI to my building. Highly recommended!

Everyone at Flat Rate was professional, courteous, friendly and responsive. They made the entire process - from the initial quote, to booking the moves, to the move itself - easy and smooth. Great job by everyone!
