It's a bit early to say, because I keep procrastinating the job I bought the tubes for. But thanks for prompt shipping and asking about my experience.

About Flatbike, Inc.
Written by the company
This is what makes Flatbike so popular. Flatbike solves these problems, whether you already have a bike you like or are in the market for one that fits your life better.
Full-size folding bikes, including mountain bikes, hybrids, and gravel bikes, offer a quality riding experience. Then these bikes simply fold in half to fit conveniently in a car trunk, truck cab, RV cubbyhole, or below deck in a boat. Or, if you already have a bike that you love but it takes up too much space, a Flatten Your Bike kit can make your existing bike fold flat in seconds, fitting easily against walls in small apartments or garages.
Ultimately, these improvements make your bike more compatible with transportation and where you live. Put it all together, and you end up with bikes that are more accessible, more portable, and take you more places to ride and explore. It’s portable adventure!

Super responsive.
Personal Touch
I spent several weeks researching folding bike companies before I decided upon a full-sized folder from Flatbike. Bob from Flatbike quickly answered a question I had. He also contacted me before shipping the bike to go over a detail regarding a protective plastic collar on the frame. I truly appreciated the personal service. I know that I can contact Bob with any questions about my bike that I may have down the road!

I got them for our 2 e-bikes which are heavy, making them hard to load on our cars bike rack. Quickly removing the pedals makes it soo much easier to load onto the car rack; brilliant!

This is a very stout, finely-machined product
I just ordered my third THINstem and can’t wait to get this 3rd gen unit on my bike to see how it’s changed! How could it be any better? The other 2 are installed on a pair of Haibike Sduro Cross’s that I store in my garage with a pivoting front tire mount. I’ve also got Flatbike detachable pedals on these bikes. What’s cool is that this combo allows me to paginate them like the pages of a book and fold them back against the wall for a ton more walking room in my 1-car garage. This THINstem allows me to add another page to this book - an eMountainbike.

Transporting a Dahon on the bus!
My job was made so much easier today (because of second generation pop-off pedals) to:
(1) remove the pedals on my Dahon K3
(2) pack it more easily into a dimpa bag from ikea
(3) board my local bus to travel to catch up with a friend for coffee
Thanks to Flatbike for this great innovation

Customer service is why the 5 stars was…
Customer service is why the 5 stars was given! If there were 6 stars then they would have been given.
We reached out to Bob with our questions and concerns over a folding bike to meet our needs for our RV adventures. Not only did Bob communicate his knowledge and experience with Change Bikes he took the opportunity to go several steps further asking us for specifics about our cycling experience and expectations for future cycling.
The partnership between Bob and ourselves enabled us to select the best fit for our needs. To ensure that we would have a perfect match Bob addressed my wife’s needs for a low seat and upright position with added components to accommodate her concerns. Suggesting the correct drivetrain to ensure she could conquer the toughest hills will be greatly appreciated.
For me having some experience with road bikes and multiple “century rides” I had put some “can this be done” questions to Bob as I did not want a stock drivetrain set up. Bob asked the right questions did some research and offered a custom set up that would suit my style of riding then did all the mechanics to make this work!
Email communication was prompt and detailed with the precise details provided to assist the customer with deciding on your purchase.
Flatbike offers Veteran discounts which as a veteran like Bob, was greatly appreciated.
This was the throwback customer service of days gone by from a great company run by a great guy!
Thanks Bob

Spiffy pedals, excellent service
I bought these for my Zizzo folding bike, and they are great: sturdy, spiffy-looking, and secure. My feet don't slide at all (the pedals are nice and bite-y). Installation was easy, and I say this as someone who is a complete novice at this sort of thing. I did have one question during installation, and I called Flatbike. Bob himself answered the phone and was very helpful! I would buy these pedals again in a heartbeat. Great product, excellent service. And now riding my bike is even more fun than before. :-)

Nothing but positives
I've been mulling the idea of owning a "full" size folding bike for a while. Not a lot of companies make them(or bike shops that carry them to just sit on). I was skeptical that they were actually full size in every way. I corresponded with Bob at Flatbike numerous times with a lot of questions. He responded quickly every time and after all my concerns were alleviated I ordered the 809 street mtn. So put a check next to customer service.
It really is not hard to fold and unfold, quite easy in fact. Now I only took it out for a quick 5 mi ride so far. In the Northeast, December bike riding isn't all that pleasant. So I will update this review when I use the bike more often. But I will say that it feels as solid as any other bike. No looseness in the frame where it folds. The bike really is full size and rides like it. For those not aware, most folding bike companies use really small wheels to make the folded bike take up less room. Not at Flatbike. That might be okay for city commuting, but not what you want for most recreational riding.
I wish there was a way to download pics to this review. I wanted to show the bike folded in the trunk of my Accord just to give a visual. Ok, only after clicking submit it asked if I wanted to upload photos. I did but I see it was only for a profile pic. Sure, it fits in there quite comfortably. But if you're someone like me that likes to keep 3 totes full of junk in there, you're going to have to make some choices.
I plan on leaving the bike in my trunk about 8 months a year. For me that was the whole reason behind making this purchase. To have instant access to bike riding at any time. For this the folding bike is indispensable and I feel it's going to be well worth it in the long run. I encourage people to look into a folding bike so that riding isn't just relegated to the weekends. If you are an older runner like myself, this is the perfect supplement for that after work cardio in the park. I'm banking on this.
One little tip I'll give. At least once a year I manage to open my trunk by accident with the key fob in my pocket. The first thing I bought was a bike chain to secure the bike inside my trunk. These bikes are not inexpensive so it gives me piece of mind if nothing else. And maybe it will do the same for you.
So, like I said I'll give an update in 2023 regarding how the bike is holding up, etc. But for now everything is a positive.
