I bought an expensive flower pot (vintage krukke) a year and a half ago. But the thing's total crap, started falling apart after about a year, noticed it when I tried to clean it with a wet cloth and the surface just crumbles away. Last thing I ever bought there, that's for sure.

I am sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with your vintage pot. It seems that you didn't seal it inside before planting your plant in it? As it says on our website, where you bought the pot:
"Krukken er ikke glaseret indeni, så for den med en plastiksæk eller lign. hvis du skal plante ud i den - eller sæt en underskål indeni potten, hvis du blot sætter en plante i plastik potte ned i vintage krukken"
As it says, you have to seal it inside if you want to put soil in it, otherwise the water will slowly go through the clay and deteriorate the pot.
