Fixed my glasses fine

Fixed my glasses fine. I overpaid by 238.00 bc they couldn’t fill my request for new lenses. Paid with PayPal. Asked for refund. They said it was pending. None came. Filed with PayPal. They investigated and said services not covered under protection. I’m out 238.00. DONT TRUST NOT RELIABLE PLAYS THE PAYPAL GAME. Beware.!!!

We are sorry for your frustration, as we share the same frustration.

For clarity, here is what happened on our side:

You requested new premium multifocal progressive lenses in addition to the frame repair. Because the lenses you requested were custom-made lenses, we need to have your eyeglass prescription before we can start.

Our team reached out multiple times by email to obtain your prescription, but we did not receive a response for some time; we have this email thread on file.

When we were finally able to speak with you, you let us know you did not have your prescription and no longer wanted the new lenses, but you did still want the frame repair completed.

We completed the repair as requested, shipped your glasses back to you, and processed a refund of $238.00 for the lenses within 24 hours of that call. This refund showed as “pending” because a PayPal/Shopify inquiry had already been opened by you, which temporarily placed the transaction under review.

After the repair was completed and you received your glasses, you filed a separate chargeback through Shopify for the full amount of the order. Shopify deducted the entire amount of the order from our account and notified us of this and requested documentation, which we promptly supplied, including proof of delivery, our refund action and all attempted and completed correspondence.

Shopify has informed us that resolution of this kind of claim can take up to 70 days, and we are still within that timeframe while they and the payment processors complete their review. We are still have not received any of the full amount that was taken from our account.

Your custom lenses may not have been covered under the “PayPal protection plan”, but we believe that is a separate PayPal feature that is not related to the actual claim you initiated.

We absolutely do not “play the PayPal game.” We followed our normal process: complete the repair you approved, refund the custom lens portion you declined, and then cooperate fully with PayPal/Shopify on the dispute and then the chargeback that you initiated, which prolonged the entire process that usually only takes 1-7 business days. At this point we are also still waiting for the claim to be settled and funds to be returned for the repair service that we successfully completed. We hope all is well and please feel free to contact us with any further questions with this matter.

I sent my glasses to FixMyGlasses for repair in their original box. They later informed me the glasses could not be fixed, which is fine — things happen.

However, when they returned my glasses, they did not include the original packaging I sent them in. Now I’m unable to return the glasses to the company I purchased them from because the original box is missing.

When I reached out, they responded by referring to their policy stating they are not responsible for original packaging. While that may be their policy, basic customer care would suggest returning an item as it was received — especially when no repair was completed.

Very disappointing experience. Customers should be aware that any original packaging sent in may not be returned.

Thank you for your feedback. After reviewing your order, we’d like to clarify a few points.

If your glasses were still under warranty, they should have been sent directly to the manufacturer or retailer for service. Our repairs are an independent option for out‑of‑warranty products and/or damaged eyewear not covered under warranty. Even though we have a solution for over 95% of broken glasses that are sent to us, unfortunately your glasses were broken beyond repair and more than likely out of the scope of most warranties. Most warranties only will cover normal wear and tear not severely damaged glasses.

Our goal is always to make sure your eyewear is sent back to you in better condition or at least the same condition, if we are not able to repair your eyewear. We always return all eyewear in our “crushproof packaging” to assure a safe and proper delivery as part of our service.

As stated on our policy page, we always return cases and any packaging with monetary value. However, because we process thousands of orders, it isn’t possible to retain or return every box or carton unless specific instructions are included in the “comments” section of the order form and/or other communication is initiated via email or phone. Your order did not include any notes about keeping the original packaging nor were we contacted regarding your packaging.

While we understand your frustration, our process and communication followed the published policy. We appreciate your understanding.

I sent in a pair of Prada sunglasses…

I sent in a pair of Prada sunglasses where the nose pieces had fallen off and the lenses needed to be replaced. I can't even believe how easy this was. This is the best website I've discovered recently. Can't recommend them enough.

great job!!, I purchased a pair of expensive Gucci glasses, playing with my grandson, they broke, I reach out to the manufacturer, they said nothing could be done, went to local repairs places, and same thing, I could not give up after 600.00 dollars spent, I found fixmyglasses online, they fixed it!! good job guys, thank you

Amazing

My RayBan Olympians are almost 40 years old and I have taken them to a few “professional” sunglasses repair shops with no luck. I was skeptical when they offered to fix them for $25 but they did. Free shipping both ways and returned in less than a weeks time. Thank you so much!!

Used numerous times with excellent results!

I have now sent in three pairs of glasses to be repaired and each time they did an excellent job bringing back to life glasses that were no longer usable. I'm sure there are some glasses that are beyond repair, but if if there is any chance a pair of glasses can be fixed, these guys can do it!

I sent glasses in for specific repair

I sent glasses in for specific repair. A week later I was contacted with an outrageous price. I specified the repair electronically and included a printed version in the box I sent in. These were ignored. I was sent a repair estimate that had nothing to do with the specified work. The glasses were returned as I asked NOT to be packaged. In short, every step of the process was ignored. Buyer beware, I would not recommend to others. And, the turnaround was 2 weeks. I will never trust this company ever again.

We sent you an assessment with five different options, and details on what it would take to properly fulfill the frame modification that you requested. We are always open to discuss assessment options and any other potential suggestions/clarifications our customers may have. Once you declined the service(s) that we offered, we returned your glasses in a crushproof box (for maximum protection), wrapped in a Styrofoam sheet and bubble wrap to protect your glasses from any potential damage in transit. Your glasses were sent back to you in maximum protection packaging, and in the same condition as you sent them to us. You were not charged anything at all, and we also provided our “FREE shipping both ways” service, with tracking (to us and back to you). It literally cost you nothing to have us review your glasses and give you a professional assessment of what is would take to have your unique request done properly. We apologize for and inconvenience and wish you well.

Never will have service done with this…

Never will have service done with this company. Spent nearly $300 and one pair of the glasses I had fixed broke in less than a month. They didn’t refund even partial. I’m so pissed. Waste of time. Don’t bother

Fixed many pairs for me

We discovered FixMyGlasses.com at the onset of Covid. And we’ve sent multiple pairs of glasses off for repairs and gotten nothing but great work back, which allowed us to avoid unnecessary eye exams and expensive replacements. Plus we get to keep the glasses we love.

Great experience!

This company provides the BEST customer service and their repair quality is off the charts. My husband sat on my glasses and I was devastated. I found this company online, filled out the form, printed the free shipping label and sent off my glasses.
I received notification that my glasses had safely arrived within an hour of delivery to them and within another couple hours, received my options on the repair.
2 days later, I received the tracking number for my return. The entire process took 11 days, and my glasses arrived a day earlier than I had anticipated, looking brand new!! I highly recommend this company and couldn't be happier with them!!

From start to finish, excellent response.
Rec’d my repaired glasses yesterday, so happy to have my bi-focal sunglasses back! The two arms for the glasses …they match perfectly!

The frame is cheap and they made my…

The frame is cheap and they made my lenses small to fit the frame. They said the frame is the exact match as far as measurements, but when I got my glasses back the frame was not the same measurements as my old one. Now the frame doesn't match my face and it's way tight. Wish they were honest about the frame and it's size.

What can I say about Fixmyglasses..

What can I say about Fixmyglasses... These guys are INCREDIBLE!! They were able to save, no three pairs of glasses. Their customer service is beyond reproach.

I had a situation where my primary pair and my secondary pair broke... I was in a panic. I emailed them and they emailed me back immediately. I explained the situation to them and they completely understood. I am blind without my glasses. They fixed and got them out for next day delivery and the price was so reasonable! Most companies would have raked you across the coals, knowing I needed the glasses. But Fixmyglasses didn't do that... They were responsive, understood my urgency and took action. I will always use Fixmyglasses and if you're wondering if I'm connected or affiliated with Fixmyglasses... I am not but I will tell you that they saved my job and for driving and for everything. They do unbelievable work and can fix ANYTHING!! I've used them before and they were great then and even greater now.

I was randomly searching for an eyewear…

I was randomly searching for an eyewear repair shop and came across this one. I sent in my transition prescription safety glasses since the left arm broke. It was not repairable, but they were able to fit in into another frame with no problem. You cannot beat the pricing and free shipping and return. I must say they have excellent customer service throughout the whole process.

Exemplary Service- Much Appreciated!

I sent a pair of Ray Ban Aviator 52mm glasses to fixmyglasses.com and their service was exemplary in every respect. It took the company less than two days to restore these glasses to virtual newness at a very fair price and expedient return. Their customer service representatives were efficient, kind and informative. Given the extremely pathetic state of customer service from myriad/most organizations overall, I could not be more pleased with the outcome afforded me by fixmyglasses.com

My glasses are rimless which is why I…

My glasses are rimless which is why I sent them in to be fixed but they were all crooked. Given how crooked they were, I should have tried fixing it myself. I was expecting a professional job, and being rimless I can't bend them by hand to align them.

They paid for shipping both ways and customer support was excellent. I had thought there would be no hope for my very thin metal sunglasses but they welded it with precision and you can’t even notice the difference.
