Treat people like criminals

I go to five below several times a week. The last few times that I have went, an employee has rushed over to ring my items up. This seemed fine to me except for yesterday. I went to get some gifts and had a lot of items. I get up to the self-checkout and start scanning and an employee runs over saying that I’m not allowed to checkout myself. She had no personality and was rude. I felt like a common criminal. Meanwhile another woman was checking her items out just fine. I have no issue with an employee watching me to make sure I ring everything up. However, the way she treated my daughter and I was very rude. I am not a thief and just because some people are doesn’t mean you need to treat everyone that way. She also stated that it was her first day.

So the issue I had was her attitude and the way she treated me. If you don’t trust certain customers because they are a different race than you need to not be so obvious about it. She clearly targeted me because I am a different race than her.

I have a job that required me to pass and FBI background check so clearly I am not a criminal.

GM insulting associated and costumers , yelling at other managers ,being racist . District manager knew all that and she only got fired after I left but won’t let me come back .

i ended up having to give my keys just because I couldn’t use the bathroom because our night crew was me and a cashier that needed to work on pallets because that’s all she like doing and refused to even help out for a minute , so when I called to talk to them about what was going on she refused to answer so I called another manager asking her to come close for me because I wasn’t feeling well , I was doing the work of 6 people and I wasn’t even supposed to work that night, I switch shifts with someone that couldn’t close so I was told I was going to be on the floor only , and it turned out I was the only one working. So when someone came to take over I got a call from the GM asking if I’m leaving for the night ,I said that there was way to much going on, I didn’t even get a chance to go to the bathroom ,it was really bad so I couldn’t stay the night ,she asked me if I was leaving I was quitting right? And when I tried explaining what was going on she just said “ okay just leave your keys and that’s it “ so that was it .
Manager was acting like a dictator , everybody was complying but they didn’t care . Employees were saying they were getting insulted by our general manager and again our district manager didn’t care . I spoke to him about some stuff that were happening in the store and he kept saying that he was gonna take care of it but it was getting worst . 95% of the employees left in less than 2 months due to them not doing anything. She even told she didn’t look like her mom because she wasn’t blond and called somebody ghetto just for having a bigger shirt on them and again hire ups did not do anything . When I told them what was going on I got yelled at by the general manager with people in the store saying that Kenny had told her it was me and I was in cahoots with him and other stuff . I also got cussed at from another manager because I was doing my job ,but again they did not care . And a lot of other stuff that were just not right. Anyways so I called and talked to our DM let him know what had happened and told him that I still wanted to stay with the company but I had no option that night. He didn’t care at all.

Tyre was so kind & considering

Tyre was so kind & considering, multitasking( working with 2 customers at one time at Five Below!! The staff was professional in a friendly manner. Tyre went Beyond & Above in showing how to use the produces I purchased for my phone.
I could not be happier with the results I experienced today. I will recommend this store to many!! ☺️

Cat accessories

In April I purchased several items, 4 of them I want to take back. 1st is the Pet Hut because there is no support at the bottom if I choose to hang it so it needs a firm platform under the cusion. 2nd is a cat toy "cat teaser" that literally fell apart right after I took it out of the package. 3rd is the flopping fish cat toy which I put 2 brand new batteries in but the fish barely moved. 4th is the wobble bee toy for cats- very strange, no instructions and I had to use a screw driver to take off the back to to put batteries in only to discover there is only a one unit motor that I would of had to take several more screws out to install the batteries not included, so I did not bother. This toy is not use friendly. I do not understand why there was not a seperate part to make it easier to put batteries in.
I was also disappointed that I could not find many Android accessories. A good 80% was for iphones. I also feel the candy/chocolate should be priced a little lower. You might find that sales would go up.

Terrible

Whenever I go they never have what they have online.
Or there stocking shelfs while I am trying to shop. Today I got short changed of 3 dollars which seems to
happen a lot with them. I have decided today was my
last day shopping there.

These people are scammers

These people are scammers! They give you the runaround, so that they can avoid giving you a full refund.

I went to a physical store and attempted to return a defective item from an online order. I had my order confirmation email with me. The manager refused to give me a refund, saying that I needed to provide him with “some sort of barcode” before he could provide a refund. We argued back and forth for several minutes, and he finally agreed to give me a $5 store credit, which is only 1/3 of the item’s value. He also advised me to call customer service to get a full refund.

I was tired at this point so I gave up and left the store to call customer service. They said I could mail in the item for a refund, but they would not cover the shipping costs. If I mail it in and pay for shipping, it essentially cancels out the refund. I gave up and just threw the item in the trash.

Shop somewhere else, if you want to avoid awful customer service!!!

Raging B*tch Clerk and Broken Bottle

My fiancé and I just came home from the Five Below on E New Circle Rd in Lexington KY to look around and get some piddly things for a good price. I loved going to these stores and when we were almost to the end of the store this clerk comes up to us and goes “We close in five minutes” mind you, online it says they close at 9pm and it was only 8:40pm so we were like hmm that’s odd but we followed through with it. there were a few other shoppers as well and she was rushing all of us to the point where she was grabbing items from people and checking them out herself at a self checkout to speed things along. then i accidentally scanned an item twice and i removed it then accidentally did it again so it contacted the girl to come clear it she comes over and goes “what did you do” and i said “i scanned the item twice” and she goes “no it wouldn’t have done that if you did” and i looked at my fiancé and he repeats what i said in a more stern tone and she clears it. we grabbed our stuff and she was standing holding the door open and was impatiently waiting for everyone to leave then locked the door when we all walked out. needless to say that girl is a raging b*tch and we are never shopping at that store again. maybe my words are too harsh but there’s no excuse sorry. Oh and one of the items a large water bottle had a crack and we didn’t realize until after it was filled with water. ZERO STARS

My fiancée was sexually groped at the…

My fiancée was sexually groped at the register by one of the employees acting like he was concerned about shop lifting. He stayed with us to the end then reached over top of my fiancé to touch the check out screen ( we went to self checkout to get away and he followed)pushing his penis into her backside. I said something and we both left. I reported it and five below doesn’t care

Letter beads 3 pcs

I bought these beads to make a label to hang for my garden but when I started making them I realized that there was no "H" in the square beads,no "S", only 1 A and 1C in the hearts. It had multiple x,y,and z though. Overall the product was good just not very many letter choices.

Will never order from the lake Walden…

Will never order from the lake Walden square in plant city Florida. I was basically told that online orders are not relevant. I placed an order last night never received the confirmation to pick up so I called and that’s what the manager told me. They just didn’t pick the order because they were too busy. At this point that location shouldn’t have online ordering. Never doing that again especially at that location.

I never normally write a review but I had to for this

I would like to say that. I went shopping at the five below on elmwood buffalo new york. My experience was wonderful, I was doing Instacart and this was only my second day doing it. I have anxiety, so it's a little hard for me, I lost my job so I am doing this for Xtra cash. Going into the store was a tad hard for me but an employee named Meg dropped what she was doing and helped me find all the things on my list. That really meant alot to me, she was friendly and put my mind at ease. So I really really would like her to know that she doesn't know how much she truly helped me. Thank you soooo much Meg, I appreciated what you did for me, hope to see your smiling face again. So Thank you Five Below for hiring such a wonderful person.

never shopping at the taylorsville five below ever again

the five below in taylorsville, indiana at the outlet mall. my friend and i were just walking around and there was a ball that was rolling on the ground. my friend and i were not throwing the ball back and forth. we didnt even touch this ball. and one of the workers was like “can you girls stop throwing that ball in the store?” she was being very rude about it. we were confused if she was talking to us or not because we didnt touch this ball. so we didnt say anything and she got up and took the ball. then throughout the entire store my friend and i were walking around and it felt like they were watching us to make sure we didnt steal anything or to make sure nothing was being thrown. i dont know if its because my friend is mexican or what but i will not be shopping there again!🥰

Just horrible

Just horrible. I received a gift without a receipt or gift receipt as most people won’t supply. The headphones do not work and five below wouldn’t allow me to exchange for the same or identical pair of same or equal value. I called corporate and they confirmed. So basically they sell cheap, defective products that are no good and won’t allow exchanges which is BS. Shame on this corporation.

Missing items from online order, bad customer service…

Paid a large shipping fee for a small order and didn’t receive all products. Reached out to company and after a few back and forth a they refunded the cost of missing products but would not send missing products (which are not in my local store). I would have to pay an additional 8 dollars shipping to receive inexpensive missing items. Bad customer service. Not ordering from again.
