Misadvised on Trademark Filing
I hired Fishman Stewart in 2024 to help secure a trademark for my business, You're So Fancy Studio LLC, which has been active since 2022. I expected professional guidance to correct my filing and protect my established business name. Instead, I was left on the wrong path.
Rather than advising me to refile as use-in-commerce (the correct basis for an existing business), my application continued as intent-to-use. This caused a Notice of Allowance, unnecessary delays, extra filings, and additional costs. In my opinion, this dragged out the process instead of fixing it.
The entire point of hiring an attorney is to receive accurate legal advice and an efficient path forward. Instead, I paid $1,322.47 and later had to hire another attorney to actually resolve the situation.
I feel I was misadvised and led astray, which wasted both time and money. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this firm for trademark services.
