FYT does not adhere to their policies. I was charged an additional $176.00 for services not rendered. An initial phone consultation was considered to be a full workout with the personal trainer I chose to work with. After I cancelled, according to the FYT policy, I was charged for an additional session at $176.00.

Here's how it went:
Jan 16 - Initial Phone Consultation

Feb 7 - Session

Feb 14 - Session

Feb 20 - Subscription cancelled

Feb 21 - Session

Feb 28 - Session scheduled online by trainer

March 6 - Trainer confirmed session had been cancelled on Feb 26

FYT refuses to issue credit or send refund.

Please, do not employ FYT if you are searching for a personal trainer. They do not honor their policies.

If you think you’re purchasing a set amount of sessions, it’s actually a subscription, and the moment you book your last session you will get charged for that amount again. In order to cancel your “subscription” you have to email them. There is no button to do so because they want to make it as difficult as possible at the sacrifice of their customer’s experience. Shady and unethical. Will never use again.

Am a trainer for 8+ years and have been on and off with this site, never really got many clients through it. Most recent client i had to wait over 2 weeks to get paid. First Rep didnt fix the payment issue, 2nd one didnt either with the third try finally fixing the issue. Fast forward to my next client obtained through the site, they schedule to have me meet up with less than 24hrs notice! I use to have a 24hr or more advanced notice to schedule but the site is always changing things so apparently that got changed without me knowing. To top it off the Rep from the app starts HARASSING me and THREATING to unlist my profile since im not responding fast enough. Being on vacation during this whole event really left a bad taste in my mouth so told them to go ahead and unlist me from there site, waste of time and mental energy

My amazing trainer (who I have been working with since 2012) switched me over to FYT years ago. I recently found out that there was confusion over the payment system and how much was owed to him. It was upsetting to hear that from a dedicated coach and trainer who has brought me back from 2 shoulder replacements and spinal fusion.

As a personal trainer on this website I found it very disappointing. I have been on this website for a few months now. I have pictures and had several reviews from my non FYT clients yet have never received an inquiry or client. I have tried searching for trainers in my area using another email and I don't even show up as a match. The way I answered the quiz questions and the area I am in....I should definitely show up. I have had others do they same and I don't show up in anyone's search.

I’m a trainer on the platform and have been listed for over a year. My credentials and experience alone put me well ahead of most other trainers on the platform right off the bat. Spent money to have professional headshots done since they reject selfies or action shots, they claim more pictures will help boost your visibility and obtain clients. Needless to say in the year + that I’ve been on the site I have yet to receive a single client or inquiry for that matter.

If you contact support they literally take weeks to respond and will give you some garbage suggestion to add more photos. Do not waste your time.

Would give zero stars if I could. Set up my profile request for in home training. Reviewed and selected one of my matches. However he emailed me to say he had no availability. But because I selected him I was billed.
Contacted customer service and they said they would credit. But as of today, five days later, no credit.
Selected a second match. He contacted me and then proceeded to tell me he doesn't do in home, I'd have to come to him. Additionally he travels every other week so I would be unable to have a set schedule. I said no thanks. He said he would decline the request and I wouldn't be charged. But guess what here I am five days later with a second charge!
There is a complete misrepresentation of peoples availability and where they will train. The company charges before knowing if there is any confirmation between client and trainer.
So right now I'm sitting here with over $500 in charges on my credit card!
Like I said this site is a complete scam. Buyer beware!!

I would give their customer service zero stars if I could. I bought a package of 24 sessions before covid started and when quarantine started I asked for a refund (of about 19 sessions left in my package) because I have a back injury and I need my personal trainer with me in person, I cannot do training virtually. They refused to help me and the employees eventually stopped replying to my emails and I am still waiting for a reply to this day. And now, I am almost done with school and will be leaving the US for good but FYT is holding over 1200 USD of my money and refusing to give it back even with the pandemic and my back injury. They are ruthless.

My trainer was great, actual site is shady. They don't have a cancel subscription button on the website. If you want to cancel your subscription you need to find their email address in the FAQ and email them.

I hope another company comes along and does this right, this is dodgy business practices.

So I am a trainer in California, and was using Thumbtack before, but I felt like every time I got fake leads that could have been from Thumbtack company so that those who look for clients still have to pay for the leads and I didn’t feel like I was paying for anything that’s worth my time. Then I signed up for Find Your Trainer, and this site is something that you can trust although there is no guarantee that you are getting promised clients unless you have a good profile and good rates if you are just starting up, and of course people seek for great trainers with great rates right? But you won’t pay unless you get a client via Find Your Trainer and you can always change your rates, options, travel areas, etc as you wish if you feel like you need to lower/higher your rates to target the right kinds of clients. Thumbtack or other sites might be hit or miss, and some people might have positive experiences with them, but honestly I don’t trust those that ask us to pay upfront and not get any promised leads from real people. If you think through and do your math, you know there is shady about some of the apps like Thumbtack and other personal trainer apps. I recommend Find Your Trainer for any trainers out there if they are looking to advertise their businesses and find more clients. I see many great trainer profiles on Find Your Trainers besides my profile (:) and I know depending on the areas, it could get very competitive, but it is our/trainers jobs to be creative and smart about selling what we do :) Hope this review for Find Your Trainer helps other hard working trainers out there.

Useful for finding and booking trainers. The website could update some of its features to make it more user friendly: making it easier to cancel a subscription, giving users the choice to auto renew packages or buy them one time. (Currently subscriptions are automatically renewed and you must contact FYT to cancel.) Trainers don’t always keep their info updated, like availability and whether they’ll come to you, it would help if FYT periodically asked trainers to update their profiles.

My trainer was a NCNS... no 1800 number so I had to wait for someone to respond to my email. I was refunded but never received email for new trainer. Very unprofessional. Taking my money elsewhere ...

Great experience and great push for a good challenging workout!

I was very pleased with my initial session with my trainer and wanted to book multiple sessions with her and purchased an 8 session package. However, I have been unable to book the same day and time with her for future sessions. Having to use the resources on her page make that extremely difficult. In speaking with her it seems that the company tells her when she has clients who want regular sessions, so I will have to try that route. It wasn't clear that I would have to deal with the company's concierge instead of the trainer.

I've now used FindYourTrainer for ~2yrs. Very helpful: I can find a trainer for specific activities and specific times. Honestly, this removes the "excuse" that I had been using...."it takes so much time and effort to find a trainer"....with FindYourTrainer I could no longer hide behind that excuse. Thank you for helping me take an actionable step for my health!
