Finally.com was paid to deliver our 2023 and 2024 personal and business returns. They were hired in August of 2024 and seemed as if they were on top of things. I was in contact with a person and we did a video call, but that person quickly stopped responding. I should have terminated the relationship, but I had already done a lot of the uploading and the work.
By June of 2025, nothing had been delivered and I was given multiple names of people to contact and was given the run around. We ended up having to hire another CPA to handle our personal returns and explained this to Finally, who agreed to reduce our monthly costs since they were only doing 1/2 the work.
By October of 2025, they still had not delivered the necessary schedules, and it was holding everything up. Oh, but they were debiting their money and getting paid for not delivering.
In January 2026, I had a new person promise that they would have everything completed by the end of January and it didn't happen. That person, Jasmine, even stated that I was due a refund since I already told them they were not touching my 2025 books.
Oh, it gets better....
I was told that they completed the Corporate returns on 3/26/2026, but I have not been able to access them. Then on 4/27/2026 - Angelica Calderon sent us an email confirming that they have stopped billing our account. On 5/5/2026 and 5/9/2026, they debited our account. My bank is now involved and I have emailed the Attorney General.
My advice is to find a company that has real people working for them and is not all AI. I hate to have my attorney get involved, but these people are not trustworthy nor are they delivering as they promised to do.
I also plan on reaching out to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.
Since I have it in writing from the Finally.com Support team, they need to honor what they have agreed to and give refunds for the work that they can't do. Clearly if it took them 20 months to do two years of tax returns, I can't rely on them for anything else.
Others should be very concerned and take heed.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the accounting services offered by Finally.com. Contrary to the service’s advertised capabilities, Finally.com was unable to log in to my online accounts. As a result, I was required to personally log in each month, download the relevant statements, and then upload those same documents to the Finally platform.
The only work product provided was a basic Excel spreadsheet in which the company simply copied and pasted numerical data from the statements. This output proved entirely worthless for preparing my tax return.
In addition, when I lost my job, Finally.com assessed a termination penalty of nearly $800 because I had used their services for only 18 months. Most troubling, the company continued to charge my credit card for two months after I had explicitly instructed them to stop all work and billing.
Buyer beware. I strongly recommend that prospective clients consider alternative providers.
I filled out one form just to get some information and immediately the calls and emails started. And they have not stopped since.
At first, it felt normal. A few emails, a couple of calls. I figured I was busy and would follow up after traveling. Then they sent messages saying things like “this will be our last time contacting you,” which I appreciated. I thought, great, I can circle back when I’m ready.
That was over a month ago. The communication never stopped.
I’ve had to block them on email, report them as spam, and block multiple phone numbers. Somehow they even got access to another number of mine, which I also had to block. As a Mac user, blocking doesn’t always fully stop calls, so I’m still getting them.
At this point, I just pick up and hang up.
This is by far the most persistent and frustrating company I’ve ever interacted with. What started as a simple inquiry turned into nonstop spam. I would strongly caution anyone before sharing their information.
The process was super easy I was approved in 2 days and I got rid of done for you taxes so you're getting two for one you're getting line of credit and you're getting an AI bookkeeper you can't beat it

I’m not sure even where to begin to say this company is the biggest bookkeeping scam out there would be an understatement. Please please please if you own a small business do not use these people. It is a fraudulent company. I’m working on everything I can do to get this word out to the world and any small business owner in the United States. In 12 years of business, I have never had such a bad experience with any company I have ever worked.. the worst customer service the worst people to communicate with nobody knows what they’re doing and who’s doing what

This company made great offers to evaluate numbers and catch up my books, but in the end I ended up doing a large portion of pulling statements, reports, and categorizing on my own. Now that we have come to a cancellation agreement, they are dragging their feet giving me my year end statement from last year, so that I can file my taxes. Every phone call is met with an answering machine. This reeks of scam. I was finally able to get a call back after leaving three voicemails and talking to a real person in the billing department who was able to relay my message to my account person or a manager. It shouldn’t have been this difficult to get my reports. There have also been errors which I have replied about and have always categorized the ask client sheets promptly.

I have now regained ownership of my account—but only after escalating the issue myself by identifying and contacting the CEO directly.
While I appreciate that this specific issue was ultimately resolved, it should not require that level of escalation for a customer to regain access to their own account. This raises serious concerns about internal processes, support responsiveness, and overall accountability.
Since my original review, additional discrepancies have also come to light through my new accountant, including incorrectly marked invoices and duplicate payment entries. These issues have contributed to tax delays and have cost my business thousands of dollars in additional accounting work to correct prior errors.
Equally concerning is the continued lack of meaningful engagement from the assigned representative. Responses have remained largely templated and fail to address the substance of the issues raised, which has made resolution unnecessarily difficult.
While one issue has now been resolved, the broader concerns around accuracy, communication, and accountability remain unresolved. I am continuing to pursue a fair resolution.
UPDATE: It's been 3 weeks since my original request and I'm still waiting for you to give me ownership of my account.
ORIGINAL: I had an extremely disappointing experience with Finally Bookkeeping Services and would strongly caution others before working with them.
They failed to deliver my tax documents on time for the S-Corp deadline, which resulted in penalties and fees from the IRS. On top of that, they made unauthorized changes in my QuickBooks account - specifically marking invoices as paid after explicitly telling me they would not touch this. This error directly caused me to miss out on nearly $20,000 in revenue, which is unrecoverable.
When I raised these concerns, they were not taken seriously. My issues were brushed off rather than prioritized, which only added to the frustration. The lack of accountability and attention to detail is unacceptable, especially for a company handling sensitive financial data.
Overall, this experience has been costly, stressful, and completely avoidable. I consider their practices highly unprofessional and unethical, and I am currently exploring legal action due to the financial damages incurred.
I would not recommend their services.

With me, they have dropped the ball so many times. It took them over two months to get me my December profit and loss statement. I have had issues with the web app almost the whole time since they have been onboarding me since last September. I can never talk to anyone unless I threaten to drop them or complain a lot. I have been with Finally for 1 year and they do not get back with you. I have waited at the present time to get someone to call me back now for 2 days. They lie about services and would highly recommend you get a local bookkeeper and not some crooks that will call you back if they didn't receive payment, but that is it. Thoroughly fed up and wasted my companies money on them and I am done.
