Fields Data Recovery succeeded to recover all 6.3TB of data from a failed disk that required a head-swap, which is an extremely delicate operation that can only be performed successfully by experts in a high-tech facility, and with specialized equipment. The service wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. In this case it was for professionalism and technical excellence.

My treatment by Fields Data Recovery was scandalous. They quoted me £695+VAT to attempt a recovery with no guarantee of success. If it was successful they would charge me an additional £195 to backup the data and dispatch it, even though I sent a brand new identical hard drive to copy the data onto.
When I politely declined the offer and asked for my hard drive back they were rude. When I offered to pay the £18 to return the item they provided me with an unsecure link to enter my bank card details. When I offered to pay by BACS they refused. We eventually agreed on a PayPal link that was so dodgy I had to lodge a concern with PayPal in case someone tried to fraudulently access my account.
When my hard drive finally arrived back it was incomplete. Literally just the inside of the hard drive with the motherboard exposed, written on with a sticker from another company stuck across the circuitry. No cover, none of the auxiliaries required to connect it with USB.
When I took the remnants of my hard drive to Curry’s to see what they could do, they told me they would likely have to source some of these parts from an identical model before they could attempt to recover my data.
Fields Data Recovery therefore sabotaged my hard drive when I wouldn’t pay their exorbitant rates for their no guarantees recovery.
You have been warned. I only hope you are reading this before you send them your hard drive. I only wish I took the time to read the other bad reviews about this company before I did.

I have an old SCSI drive that spins up very reliably but I couldn't get my data off of it. When connected to my SCSI card it was recognized. I sent it to Fields Data recovery and they told me they couldn't get data from it. They sent it back to me and it did have another board on it. But the reason I am suspicious is that the drive returned is totally dead. doesn't spin up and my card doesn't recognize it anymore. I was told I would get a report on the work that was done but have yet to receive it.

Fast and efficient service. They were able to recover all my documents! Costly, but worth it! I would have had much work to redo. Great communication at all stages! Thanks!

Well, I would have liked to get the drives back, and to get the even the C: programs drive back, because that had a few settings on it that i could have found, especially the appdata folder

I'm very happy I was able to recover the data i had lost. Especially from an M.2 based drive! I was thinking that database was lost forever, but they brought it back!... even if that meant putting it into a flash drive tho... that's really my only reason for one less star, I had requested a hard drive but got a flash drive with the data in it. So what would've taken me a day to get my data moved over into my backup server took me three entire days. Again, it's already finished, so I'm not as mindful about it as I was before. Amazing service, I'm thinking about using them again.

I should have read all the reviews before wasting my money. Judges by the number of negative review, there is no way they have a 92.5% success rate. They project confidence but deliver nothing.

You got my data back. I was disappointed about the price. I thought it was going to be less than half the price it was by looking at the website. Ended up be $3000, but I got my data back. Dell service sucks for loosing it in the first place.

I appreciate your having got it done. The one thing that could have been better was that it was shipped to a wrong address. The FedEx driver called me from an address about 7 miles away. It may have been wrongly selected by your shipping people, it has happened before. My GPS will give both addresses when I am searching for a best route home from out of town. But thanks.

The team at Fields Data Recovery located in Florida were absolute professionals. They did an Excellent job recovering all of my files on a 12TB Seagate Drive. It was a pricey undertaking, however, I got all my data back which is priceless. Great Job to the team and company for a job well done!

Great result and fast service! More expensive than I expected, but other companies couldn't do it at all so I'm not really complaining. I'd be trying for years!

My husband's external hard drive with years of material he uses in his academic work was damaged and he was desperate to retrieve the files before the new semester began. He tried a local shop that guaranteed recovery but was unsuccessful. I googled data recovery and found Fields. I contacted them by email and they responded immediately. I sent the hard drive and they examined it and explained their process. The fee for data recovery was required in advance and it was steep for us ($1100 usd) and there was no guarantee of recovery. However, it was worth the risk and we were not disappointed. They sent a prepaid overnight shipping label for us to send the damaged drive. The team had to repair the damaged drive before they could retrieve the data and that was the most time-consuming part. The parts had to be found and and the drive rebuilt. His course bibliographies, syllabi, powerpoints, and everything that mattered was recovered and returned to us via FedEx on a new external drive, part of the service and at no additional charge. We were assigned a very nice young man, Ian, who was in constant contact explaining the procedure and progress. We could not be happier with the quality of customer service, the care taken with repair and recovery, and with the level of consideration and communication.

I was not an easy customer to have.
Very thorough job retrieving what was possible.

They did a good job, fast.
However, the tech/engineers who i spoke to jacked up come-on price to $1500; then once ready, wanted $2400, 900$ more than quoted. They would do better if more honest, transparent and less hostile. From here on, I have 3 back up drives to avoid these highwaymen

Thank you SO much for getting back my PRICELESS data for me. 95% - I would have even been happy with receiving less, but this was phenomenal!!!!
Pictures and videos of my beloved family members, some who has since passed away. You cannot put a price on what this means to me.
My computer crashed a few years back and all I had was the hard drive and there was a great deal of data on it that I thought may have been lost forever, due to not having any backups for these particular files.
Fields Data Recovery helped me with what is a very trying and hard time in my life. The photos/videos retrieved give me solace - how to even thank them enough?
Special callouts for Carsen and Ian - you were very kind and patient with me and I deeply appreciate that.
I highly recommend Fields Data Recovery and will go to them for any other future data recovery needs.
They are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best regards, Elayna

We needed data recovery for a business computer and our local tech could not help. As I was researching options I found Fields and as I was reading the price quote page I received a call from Thomas Stutsman at Fields. I explained our dilemma and he was very encouraging that they could retrieve the data or we wouldn’t pay anything. The costs shown in their web site was $199 up to $1199 and I assumed that would be the most it would be. Thomas stated he would send an overnight shipping label and rush our hard drive since it was for a business. I was appreciative. The next day they got the drive and I was contacted by Carson. The files were retrievable but the cost was going to be 2x what was expected, he wanted $2400. I tried to contact Thomas to ask why he didn’t say that when he offered to rush the project that it would double the cost. He would not answer my calls, return my calls or respond by email. We had to pay the $2400 and felt like our data was being held hostage. It felt very much like a scam, but we needed the data. . . On a positive note we did get the data, it was all intact and the business was back up and running 3 days later. If I had been told up front the real cost I could have been prepared for that and I’d be giving a 5 star review.

They were very professional in a timely matter and took care of a very serious situation and make sure I had all my data back!

Quick turnaround time, but a majority of the files returned were unreadable! Very expensive too. More for corporate users who can afford the cost.

Sit back everyone cause this is a long one. I accidentally fried a chip on the main boot drive of my computer after connecting two different power cables to it. Data Field Recovery was able to access all of the data and copy it onto a usb drive/stick/dongle.
The good.
1. The representative that was in contact with me was very helpful, understanding and professional. He was able to explain all the processes and answer all of my questions.
2. They except payment through PayPal Credit or credit cards. Which is VERY good because you can expect to pay around $1500.
The bad.
1. Really, the only bad thing I have experienced as of the writing of this review is that I was not sent back the drives that I had sent them. (So far).
I sent them both the ssd drive that I had fried and a brand new m.2 ssd stick I had just bought in the hope that they could clone the drive to the m.2 drive so I could use the m.2 drive as my boot drive. They instead just copied the data onto a usb drive and only sent back the usb drive.
I don’t know if I was unclear about what I wanted or what. There policy is that they keep a copy of your data for at least a week after they send you your data back in case of any problems. They could have at least sent me back both the m.2 and the usb drive together as I NEED the m.2 drive to get my computer back up and running. The representative that I spoke with told me that I will still get my drives back though so we shall see.
Overall, I would say that my experience with Data Field Recovery was good and I would recommend them for both Residential and Commercial/Industrial. Thank you Data Field Recovery.
