FOS upheld complaint, still waiting for payment
The Financial Ombudsman Service found that Fernovo had lent to me irresponsibly on ten loans. Fernovo accepted the FOS investigator's assessment and made an initial redress payment.
The payment was around £3,700 less than I expected based on the investigator's instructions, so I queried the calculation. After receiving no response, I asked the FOS investigator to follow up.
A few days later, Fernovo acknowledged that they had made a miscalculation, apologised, and confirmed in writing that a further £3,735.87 was due. They advised that they aimed to make the additional payment within two weeks.
It is now 24 days since that email. Despite three follow-up emails and a telephone call, I have neither received the payment nor a response from Fernovo. The FOS investigator is now having to chase them again.
I will update this review once the matter has been fully resolved.
Update: After another 5 days of silence I emailed the FCA registered complaint email address and the remaining redress was paid later that afternoon. Not sure if that was coincidence or if that's the speed of Fernovo's urgency. At least it's resolved now though, 8 weeks and a day after Fernovo agreed with the FOS investigator.
