Fantastic service from Tomas at Fenix

Fantastic service from Tomas at Fenix. UW informed us our boiler was beyond economical repair. I asked Tomas to have a look at our boiler and quote to supply and fit if he agreed with UW. Tomas quoted to supply and fit a new like for like boiler. He quoted a very competive price that we were very happy to go ahead with. Absolutely fantasic speedy service, clean and tidy. He took the time to explain how to set up and use our new thermostat with its app.
Having seen that our yearly boiler service by Utility Warehouse and previously British Gas failed to pick up a major issue with our boiler flu that could have cost our lives, we have decided to take out Fenix annual service. We will definetly use Tomas again.

under floor heating

Thomaz fitted my under floor heating. There was a long delay for thomaz due to an issue with a previous contractor. Thomaz was patient and made a lot visit due to this. Thomaz is a trustworthy contractor and has a done fantastic job in heating my property. highly recommend.

Searched online for gas safe plumber in…

Searched online for gas safe plumber in corby, first of second name that come up were Fenix services limited. Called for a sink blockage in the bathroom, Thomas charged me 100 pounds but didn't fix the issue instead he made it worse, on top of that he lied about the toilet saying the toilet needs replacing, I didn't have any issues with the toilet.

Hello Mick, it seems to me that before you do a favour for Zahed Ahmed and give someone, in this case, my business, a bad review, I suggest you do some research on what the company is about. Therefore I would like to inform you that as a business, we do not deal with blocked sinks or toilets or replace toilets.

To sum up the whole situation, I do not understand why He is angry with me and not with the installer, who not only did not register the boiler for warranty but also the installation performed not in accordance with the applicable regulations and the manufacturer's requirements.

I called up for a simple boiler service…

I called up for a simple boiler service and gas safe check. Thomas did not carry out the boiler service even though he was happy to charge me for it and instead decided to fish around for faults that's did not exist with the boiler. I paid 140 pounds cash received no invoice or report of the job carried out. If you are a land lord please keep well away from this company based in Corby.

Hello Zahed Ahmed, I must admit I am surprised by your review.
As you rightly mentioned in your post, you hired me to inspect the gas installation, including gas appliances, and to carry out the annual service of the boiler, during which I discovered that the boiler was not installed in accordance not only with Gas Safe regulations, but also does not meet the manufacturer's requirements, which has a huge impact on the safe operation of the appliance . Not to mention the boiler has not been commissioned, registered for the warranty you care so much about, and has not been notified to the Building Control Body which is a legal requirement.
In such a situation, the regulations require us (Gas Safe Register) to follow the guidelines from unsafe situations, which in this case:
- Under-sized gas pipework (less than 16mbar on the boiler inlet)
- Uncommissioned Gas Boiler
classification as ID (immediate danger) is required, apply "Do not USE" label and disconnect the appliance.
as for papers, you mentioned that you have a current certificate from last year, which, according to the regulations, the tenant must have a copy of, and we both know that there is no such certificate, A warning notice that I've issued has been left with your tenant, according to the regulations I informed you by phone about the situation and possible consequences if you do not take any steps to resolve it, unfortunately this is a very formal procedure and I understand that it is not a friendly dialogue. Also by law it is my duty to provide you with copies within 14 working days, as a business our working hours are 9:30am-5:30pm and unfortunately I finished after 9pm that day, reports were sent at 4:07am the next day. You also need to understand that trying to convince me to leave the device running is a bit of a lawbreaker.
To sum up the whole situation, I do not understand why you are angry with me and not with the installer who not only did not register the boiler for warranty, but also the installation performed is not in accordance with the applicable regulations and the manufacturer's requirements.
