The address was correct, used by many other companies, but the delivery driver was either incompetent or simply lazy!
It's not a "delivery exception" but THE USUAL FEDEX SPAIN DELIVERY MODE: no calls, no emails, it's quicker to just return the package to the sender…

FedEx Spain demonstrates repeated failures in logic, internal coordination, and basic responsibility.
After the first failed delivery, I proactively contacted customer service via chat. The driver had arrived at the building, failed to understand that the entrance doors are on the other side, and simply left instead of using minimal reasoning or checking for guidance. I then provided very clear delivery instructions. These were accepted by the customer service agent and added to the system. If those instructions were insufficient, the agent should have said so and explained what additional details were needed. That did not happen.
Despite this, I was later contacted by another FedEx employee who was completely unaware of my earlier interaction. There was no apology for the failed delivery. Instead, I was told the address was incorrect. This is false. Other courier companies deliver to this address without any issue, repeatedly.
On the second delivery attempt, the package was only delivered because my housemate ran toward the FedEx car. The driver did not get out of the vehicle. I was told the driver had called me seven times, yet I received zero calls. If FedEx records calls that never reach the customer, there should be a clear way for customers to view and verify the contact details FedEx is actually using. Currently, there is no transparency, yet the customer is still blamed.
The pattern is clear: drivers not using instructions, customer service agents not coordinating with each other, no feedback loop when instructions are supposedly unclear, unreliable contact systems, and blame being shifted onto the customer instead of problems being solved. Based on many similar reviews, this appears to be a systemic issue within FedEx Spain, not an isolated incident.
I give two stars instead of one because my interaction via the chat was decent, just not thorough enough. I wish for management to really investigate what can be improved.

It's always the same story with them: they change the ZIP code, transfer the parcel to a local courier and wash their hands.
Parcels take at least 15 days to arrive within Spain while they will only take 3 from the US to Madrid... it's truly baffling how they can be so utterly incompetent.
Their chat or phone operators can't do anything either; they just narrate how miserable the whole process is yet again going... well, to be honest, they do something: give you false hopes by assuring you it will be delivered the next day. But it won't. They will just send you another automatic email by the end of the day saying it will be delivered the following working day... and it still won't.
I'm trapped in this loop because I needed parts off a US vendor and nobody else had them in Europe but, if you can: stay well away from this courier.
They're absolutely hopeless.

Fed Ex plus Pakke DK + Paket SE + Budbee = FAIL
I would like Fed Ex to be made aware of the total lack of competency of their Danish and Swedish shipping partners. The FED EX Spain customer service agents were nice but, you guys failed to pick up my package so it was delayed by one day not leaving Spain until the next day. I had to keep calling you because your partners were not responding.
Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Failed Delivery – Pakke.dk, Paket SE & Budbee
Dear Pakke.dk, Paket. SE and Budbee Customer Service,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the failed delivery of a package sent from Madrid to Stockholm, booked through Pakke.dk and handled by Budbee on the Swedish end.
September 29th, 2025 at 13:43 pm Budbee sends a message to my recipient re: important information and then, it went into a hellscape limbo with neither company except for Federal Express taking ownership! Then you send an update YESTERDAY October 2, 2025 that you will deliver it at 15:50 pm yet do not provide a pin.
This package was a belated wedding gift — gourmet food items — meant to be delivered to my brother in Stockholm. Pakke.dk advertised delivery within 7 business days, which led me to believe the package would arrive in time before my brother traveled. That did not happen.
The problems began once the package reached Sweden:
Budbee failed to deliver the package to the address provided, instead insisting on placing it in a parcel locker.
There were no available lockers or Budbee claimed they "could not find one," and instead of resolving this, they placed the burden on my brother (the recipient) to locate or access a locker himself.
Despite repeated assurances that the package would arrive before his departure, Budbee failed to provide the necessary PIN code for collection in time.
As a result, he left the country without receiving the gift, rendering the entire shipment pointless.
This experience has caused undue stress, disappointment, and frustration, not only because of the failed delivery but due to the lack of ownership and communication from both companies. At no point should the recipient have been responsible for resolving last-mile delivery issues — especially when a complete delivery address was clearly provided.
I am requesting the following:
A formal apology and explanation of what went wrong on both ends (Pakke.dk and Budbee).
A full refund or partial compensation, as the delivery failed and the service promise was not upheld. The package was delivered today October 3rd, 2025 even with an escalation from Fed Ex and promise to deliver on the 2nd.
Confirmation on what happens to the package now that the recipient is no longer in the country.
Please treat this matter as urgent. I expect a prompt resolution and written response.

I've never seen a more incompetent company that Fedex Spain. With UPS i received a package in 48h ( USA to Spain), with customs clearance included. I payed online and all went smoothly.
Fedex Spain took almost 2 weeks to calculate the customs fees, sent them over with an option to pay online but none of the options on the page work, customer service either don't reply or sent the same automated email.
If I had an option to select a different company I would and I'll definitely avoid Fedex at all cost if I only can in the future.

DISAPOINTINGLY LOST IN SPAIN
We are waiting on a delivery from the uk,package size 100x60x40cm.it arrived in Madrid on the 02/07/2025. Since then we have been told it would arrive on the 04/07 2025. No show we were then told it would arrive 07/07/2025 but no show again, and today between 1000hrs and 1420hours. Every time you contact FEDEX Expresscwe get a different answer. Do they know what they are doing NO something that big must have floated away in the heat wave?! We are now waiting on answer from the BACK OFFICE WITH IN FOUR BUSINESS HOURS. Still waiting to see how they proceed with this and the four hours has passed If its lost admit it and give us our money back. We will never use FedEx Express again!!

Fedex Spain is completely useless. They use Correos Express in the Canary Islands and they're equally incompetent. Neither knows what the other is doing. Communication is incredibly bad. They give wrong information and are unable to inform you what has happened to your package. They just don't care. I will never use them again. Avoid this company.

I sent a watch back to USA from Spain to be repaired it was returned to Spain and said they would return it stayed in all day never turned up then we get email saying we’ve imported it they picked it up explained our situation and nothing,emailed them and rang them twice a week for 8 weeks no reply at all then get a bill for import duties because we didn’t have proper paperwork why didn’t they email me while they had my watch for 8 weeks could of sorted this out now I’m left with a 888 euro bill which I have to pay or I don’t get watch back they picked the watch up from Spain so how can it be imported
They have now said after we agree to pay said it would be delivered Friday 9 May still sat here waiting for it 3 days later
Do not use this company this has left us stressed out and frustrated as no explanation on how long they’ve had this parcel

Having same problem with fedex they stated parcel out for delivery on the 30/12/2024 an hour later driver said tryed to deliver we were home and fedex never turned up he took parcel back to depo (which is 90mins away) lol had to go on line and book a drop off point,not happy had to pay delivery and chase around to pick up parcel,as driver to lazy to drive to my villa,they make it to easy for drivers now to just drop off at pick up points bad service..the courier depo where sent from as stated above is around 90mins away from my villa from A to B how after an hour could driver say tryed to deliver lol beyond words bish bosh courier company

They left a package which was shipped to me valued over 1000€ somewhere, and they don’t even have info on which city it was delivered to. It shocks me that they don’t have GPS data for deliveries. After much back and forth, I was able to file a claim, and it was approved, however the amount was much less due to the negligence of the originating company, who didn’t include details about the shipment.
