Due to China's Great Firewall, Chinese users need to use a VPN to access international networks—but most payment platforms flag VPN users as high-risk and decline their transactions, which is quite absurd.
Initially, when I first used FastSpring, my transaction was also rejected for the same reason: being marked as a high-risk user because of VPN usage. But I decided to give it a try and reached out to them via FastSpring’s customer support email to explain my situation. Their team took action on my account promptly, and when I attempted to pay again afterward, it went through smoothly! This was absolutely incredible.
Thank you so much to FastSpring and all the staff behind the scenes! I hope you can continue to develop and refine optimization measures for Chinese users when it comes to international online payments.

Someone in the admin department of my company reached out to me for help with a change that FastSpring had made to their system. I didn't understand the situation so I reached out to FastSpring support, as I often do. Beth got back to me, and ultimately arranged for a zoom session with my co-worker (someone who is not technical) and got her sorted out. And displayed a great level of kindness all along the way.
I reach out to FastSpring support because they are consistently good, and sometimes, like this time, they are great.

We had an extremely difficult time renewing our subscription. I attempted several different types of payment (different credit cards/P.O./ and check. All of them were declined. We had a performance for our music department in the middle of all of this -with no lighting.
I filled out a form several times for help - finally received an email after days of reaching out. Customer service is very slow. If there are problems renewing subscriptions, it would be helpful to have other ways to contact the seller.
This is not the first time we have experienced problems processing payment for our lighting subscription.

Imagine your company is launching its biggest sales week of the year. All the marketing is rolling, and FastSpring turns off your store. You file an email support ticket, and for 9+ days running no explanation or solution is given. You cancel a week long vacation to manage the situation. All you hear back is "we've escalated your case". How would you feel? I've been with FastSpring 6+ years and this situation isn't uncommon, if you are a small business. I've personally helped them to fix software bugs they couldn't figure out, and develop a new support team that was amazing. I did this because their competitors didn't have the features I require. The people are very nice, the platform is the best in class, but what's the point if a simple support question can't be answered and a store restored in over a week?
Bottomline, if you are small business, you are a third class customer to FastSpring.

I reached out for help with a tax exempt order. The seller was a smaller company and so was not able to respond quickly, but I needed someone to respond quickly because it was a Black Friday deal. I contacted FastSpring with my Tax Exempt info and they got back to me within a few hours, providing a custom link for the tax exempt order.

I'm trying to buy multiple software apps during Black Friday, and most work fine, as long as the payment method is anything other than FastSpring. Every transaction fails, yet any other payment processing company's site works fine. I've had this problem in the past, and it's very frustrating, not to mention such a loss for the companies I can't buy from.

This company should be investigated, they are a total scam and the companies working with also and I mean it, because you cannot work with a shady partner if you are not shady yourself. So the problem it's either they don't know how to charge over VAT in different coutries and use complex ticketing and customer support to hide behind shady procedures, they refused to share information about where they operate also, but my believe is that they charge over VAT illegally in purpuse to make more money.

Their system refuses all payment methods, Trying to purchase a business service for my company and ended up giving up and going to somewhere that doesn't use fastspring.

Emailed them all the information they requested so we could find out what the charge was on our company bank account. Received a useless generic response asking for more information. Still had no reply even when we provided additional information like the reference/order number. Will be lodging complaints with their web host and domain regulator for fraudulent activities. Avoid dealing with Fast Spring at all costs.
**FAST SPRING** if and when you reply to this feedback, DO NOT just write a generic response saying blah blah blah like you have done with every negative review below. Read the emails properly that I and your other customers have sent you and then provide a proper response to our emails in a timely manner. Customer support industry standard is email replies within 24-48 hours, not weeks or months or not at all.

Tried to purchase aText using this payment service and it has been over a week with no messages from them, no product received and no answer to my emails. Have reached out multiple times to the company they host and no response from them. Payment was made over 10 days ago
