Save yourselves and DO NOT book with them. Getting ready for my honeymoon with my husband and realized we never received an email to check into our flights for the next day. We checked and our flights to Italy were never processed by farescan even though we received a confirmation email after purchasing. When we called they said they called us to let us know — a lie. Farescan then tried to sell us 2 tickets for $4k to Italy… the original amount was supposed to be $1300 for 2 tickets. So yes, this company is a complete scam and try to get people in a desperate position where they are forced to buy more expensive tickets. Stay. Away.

Complete scammers, when tried to contact them for seating, food preference etc. they automatically charged without consent and then argued continuously, then they said they refunded (hard to believe). The site then used their own email (jamieexploretrip.com) to manage booking on airindia site. I have screenshots of everything and conversations. I promise this will now go to better business bureau and get these scammers. Airindia cannot even find PNR booking on their systems.

They DO NOT refund money even after the airlines have refunded them the money for a flight cancelled by the airlines. They deduct money inspite of airlines giving full refund!! CAL has refunded full amount of ticket in January, now it is end of June still no refund by faresacan. I have talked with customer reps Collins; Alex; Johnson; Hasan who have not yet connected me to a supervisor. Will never buy thru them !!

I purchased a ticket to India for $2560 for travel starting in 3 days. The transaction went through and I received an email confirmation along with the Air India PNR code. But their email said that I should be receiving another confirmation for e-ticket. AI website indicated that the booking was confirmed.
When I did not receive the e-ticket confirmation for sometime, I called Farescan. They told me that the booking was not confirmed because the price went up by $300! When I declined to pay $300, I was asked for $121! I declined that as well and asked why did the Air India website show my ticket as confirmed. At this stage the agent told me that she would honor the price that I paid, and my ticket "would be" confirmed.
I am now keeping my fingers crossed that the booking stays confirmed as it currently shows on AI website.
*Edited 2 days later
I was able to block the transaction when our credit card company flagged the transaction for potential fraud. After that they called me posing as if they were calling on behalf of Kayak!

These guys are scammers. They charge excessive fees to change or cancel tickets, 100-300$ per passenger. I booked 3 tickets from them, and when I wanted to change, the changing fee charges were 60% of the ticket and then an additional difference in the rate.
Also, somehow they lock the reservations so that you can't directly change the tickets with the airline. You have to pay them to make any changes, like extortion. Normally with other travel websites, they mediate to get you the tickets, but after the purchase, the tickets are yours to change or cancel.

I have been mislead by the agents' responses and advice over the course of the past 2 years and have been waiting for a refund, despite approval for months. Each agent provides a different response and makes empty promises (Of course on inquiry, they all say "nothing is ever guaranteed). NO effort made to communicate with the airlines, even though it's their job. Most of the time agents are simply rude.

DO NOT BOOK with this site. It is a total scam. I booked my 2000$ tickets on this site and called them just 30 minutes later to cancel them (the email they sent clearly state 24 hour free cancellation) and they said they can't cancel my ticket or they would cancel it for a nominal fee of 300$. they are definitely in the business for cheating consumers. Find a way to report this company so other people are save from this scam

I booked a flight from LAX-CGY with a layover in Manila back in February. I call them today to confirm the seat and they tell me that my connecting flight is now leaving before my first flight arrives. They sent no notification of this change. Now, they are telling me that in order to take a later connecting flight they will be charging $299. Yes, the airline is the one who moved the flight time up, yet Farescan is telling me I have to pay $299 now. So what was supposed to be a 2 hour layover is now a 10 hour layover which they are telling me I must pay $299 extra to reserve. I have never heard of an airline charging you when they are the ones who change a flight time. Farescan is absolutely horrible, I also blame Kayak since I linked to them from Kayak.com.

They charged me the double amount of money when I booked a domestic flight to New York.I have been contacting them since 4 days and they keep telling me lies. Very unprofessional and SCAMMERS. WORST WEBSITE TO BOOK A FLIGHT FROM. THEY DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO SPEAK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.IM GONNA REPORT THEM TO THE AUTHORITIES AND BRING THESE SCAMMERS DOWN.

If I could rate less than one star, I would. This company was happy to quickly take my money but refused to confirm my ticket. I purchased a round trip fare on Turkish Airlines. When a friend used his miles to upgrade my ticket from economy to business, Farescan refused to confirm my ticket purchase to the airlines and me. They insisted I pay them the difference between economy and business, even though miles were used. Lucky for me, I know two people who work for the airline and they were able to help me by confirming my flights and choosing my seat. Without their help, I would have been ticketless and out $1400. Farescam is the better name for this company. Stay away. From now on, I will only purchase through the airline itself.

I was quoted $322 for 2RT tickets to Vegas. After paying I was charged over $700 plus the wrong return date. The customer service is a joke. It says to press 68 but does not transfer you it hangs up. I called again it said press 35. After finally getting a hold of someone he said it was all my fault “to bad.” I was offered a new return ticket for an additional cost of $120. I told them I would report this as fraud. The guy threatened me not to contact the bank & offered me a partial refund. I refuse anything other than a full refund. The worker later called me back & yelled at me. I have screen shots of the transactions & phone calls. I’ve reported with the BBB & I’ll be contacting the city of San Francisco & the IRS to report the business. They didn’t charge any tax which is Illegal. Any company that replies to customer concerns by company name & not the owner name should be a huge red flag. Read the reviews for yourself.

FarescaM...started at Kayak, ended up on this scam site and didn't realize until it was too late. Don't bother contacting them for refund...file a dispute with your CC company!

Absolute fraudsters and scammers. Running a scam from India, airlines give full refund and these scammers will only refund half of the price and that too 6-8 mos after, DO NOT EVER BOOK ANYTHING WITH THEM.

it is a total fraud they are some scammers they show a ticket price and after having the card details they charge you and show you 4 times the value they offer and then they want to force you to charge a cancellation fee it is a scam

Similar to other reviews, I called 12h before check-in wondering why my flight was not listed. The attendant told me the flight was cancelled (I had not been informed by Farescan). Farescan refused a full refund and since I needed to fly on that particular date, I was left footing the bill for a last minute flight. Stay away from this company.

Incompetent beyond belief, but at least I have not been ripped off...yet.
Purchased 3 tickets, received emails about them being processed. 12 hours later receive an email from them, filled with spelling mistakes (referring to their website as FARSCAN.COM?)
Asked for a credit card form to be filled out, along with a phot of the card and ID. Felt a little ify doing it by email, tried to call to see if it was legit. 3 hours on hold, never got a person. Sent it in. 8 hours later received an email acknowledging receipt saying they would process. Another 24hrs later, no tickets. Call again, actually get someone. We never received the information! Yes you did, I have the receipt of confirmation, this time, by this person. Ok sir, I found it, but it was never sent on the our credit card people. We will send it now! OK, thank you. But the ticket prices have gone up $400 since you booked it. But this is your fault! It is not sir. Also - I can go online to your website and find the EXACT same flight, for $1 more NOT $400. No sir that is not possible. I AM LOOKING AT IT NOW! Round and round. Since nothing was charged to my card I had them cancel everything. Rebooked. After 30 min, no email acknowledging purchase. Still have the page open with all the ticketing info. Call. Sir that ticket has been cancelled. Yes, I had a ticket, I cancelled it and purchased another. But it was cancelled. YES! And I bought another one 30 minutes ago! Round and round. It may take some time to work through our system. If you do not have anything in 30 minutes call back. Call back 30 minutes later, That ticket id number does not exist. I am looking at it right here! No sir you are wrong. What?
3 days of incredible frustration and stress, and they are incapable of even doing their most basic job - taking my money and booking the tickets. Did I mention I was hung up on 3 times and had to go through the explanation over and over? For your own sanity - people - DON'T BOTHER WITH FARESCAN! No wonder they are listed as 1 star. I have already been complaining to Kayak and will continue and campaign to have them dropped by Kayak as a service.
Her FARSCAN - welcome to your worst nightmare!

I have been waiting for my refund for 2 years now for a flight that was cancelled by Air India during the COVID lockdown. When I called the airline, they said they processed my refund and gave me a transaction ID, and farescan keeps denying it.
They are least concerned about helping you while verbally assuring you they are here to help. The one rep I spoke to today and he said they will reimburse me less than half of what I originally paid (~$2000) for the ticket to "resolve this case" as I have been calling them for too long now. He also said that is all they can do (as if giving me less than half is a favor they are doing to me).
Emails are the standard pasted mail saying they will check and get back to you.
Stay away from using their services unless you have money to throw away. They should change their name to FareScam.

My partner and I booked an international flight through FarScan. The original flight was canceled (airline canceled it), and we were never notified by FareScan. When we finally called inquiring about our e-tickets (since they still appeared as pending through the original confirmation email), the customer service rep had no idea that the flight was even canceled. We had to call the airline directly to inquire. FareScan lied about the airline keeping taxes and fees, the airline having no other available flights, and confirmed a rescheduled flight without our approval. They refused to refund the money, and it took multiple attempts via email and phone call to even attempt to resolve this issue. Customer service often had no idea what was going on, and referred us to several other departments such as "Scheduled Changes Dept", "Concerened Dept.", and "Escalation Dept." (NO I'm not making these up!). Needless to say, we are still supposed to be flying out this week even though we have informed them multiple times that we cannot make this fight and I'm still waiting for my phone call stating that they will refund our money. Wish me luck!

COMPLETE SCAM STAY AWAY! I purchased a ticket through kayak.com and it brought me to farescans website. I proceeded to purchase my ticket not knowing that I would never receive a ticket. I was sent a confirmation email regarding a Purchase of the ticket, but never received the e-ticket that was suppose to be sent. I later then contacted farescan support, only them telling me that I need to contact the airline themselves to cancel my ticket for a refund. I then decided to file a dispute through my bank because I had never received my ticket, and the bank issued me a refund. 3 weeks later farescan finally calls me back because they see I have filed a dispute for my purchase and proceeds to tell me I am lying about not contacting their support. They claim there are no records of me calling and deliberately keep saying that it is not possible I called for help. PLEASE STAY AWAY!
