Website placed an order without my consent
Update: I learned that this is a known Shop(.)app/Shop/Shopify bug that is caused by Shop's browser cookies and aggressive pushing of their "service." Had the same issue on a different website. I have deleted the account Shop created for me, and read many reviews by buyers and vendors who have had to deal with unauthorized orders, so I will avoid any websites that use Shop from now on. FaradBeauty quickly cancelled the order and refunded, so I'm changing my review score accordingly as this situation was not their fault and they did everything in their power to rectify it.
Original review: Website automatically placed an order without my consent. I did not click on place order or any similar button. I did not even enter any information into the checkout page - the website pulled my info from Shop (which I did not select as a payment method) and placed an order when I tried to apply a discount code. The website has no phone number to call when there are issues and so far has not responded to email or message through their contact form, which is forcing me to cancel my credit card to stop this fraudulent transaction. It has not yet been 24 hours since I contacted this merchant, so I would update my review if they respond adequately but I still have to deal with the inconvenience of cancelling a credit card, waiting for a new one, and moving all recurrent bills to another one.
