This is described as a boutique hotel with great attention to detail, thoughtful touches to make you feel at home and where you are welcomed.
Also their website mentions cozy coffee station, hotel quality towels and soft furnishings
They detail a waterside natural stone patio with a cozy firepit and a 900 square foot deck and bbq adjoining the common lounge, dining room and kitchen
Unfortunately our 4 night stay here did not reflect the above.
We did indeed have a self check in but we never met an owner. All communication is firstly via AI and if the problem isn't solved the owner (i assume) replies via email. All completely impersonal.
The cozy coffee station and fridge were in the wardrobe. We had 4 coffee pods supplied ( no tea bags)and when we asked for more we were told to try the kitchen. When there were none there they were delivered outside our door later that day.
As we were staying for 4 nights I asked about a change of towels and was told to leave them outside the door if I wanted and they would leave fresh ones outside the door.
The chairs in the room were so uncomfortable thay you sink through and we are not heavy.
Very little storage
One bedside lamp
The toiletries station is also overstated.
The fire pit area was untidy and I was told that you have to ring for a fire permit prior to using it.
This is not a boutique hotel, rather an impersonal shared airbnb. And as such is completely over priced.
Although there are a list of rules given by the host. No-one was ensuring they were being adhered to.
The views were lovely
Ps. They have now changed their name and the description of the ivy suite which we were in.
Admission that we were right but of course they are refusing to give us a refund or apology
We have referred our issues to our credit card company who have upheld our complaint
