India holiday review

Firstly; the level of service you provided was exceptional and I'm very grateful for that. Zubin, you are a real asset to the organisation, and I would be more than happy to talk with any managers in the company to confirm that.
The tour was excellent and far exceeded my expectations in every way. India is an astonishing place, but can be a bit bewildering at times as you probably know!
I was grateful that local reps or guides met me at each hotel just to introduce themselves and make the checking in process smoother.
The individual tours were very good and the guides very knowledgable, friendly and patient with all my questions. The only slight downside was that they all took me to retail places where I would get the 'hard sell' on carpets, pashminas and other items. This became a pain eventually as I made it very clear I was not in the market for anything like that, and it was very time consuming. I asked my driver and company representative to make it clear to guides that I did not want to visit these places, and he did so thankfully.
On to my driver, Mahaveer Singh. What a delightful man! I felt welcomed and safe in his care. He was punctual, polite and incredibly engaging at all times. He sorted out a few issues when hotels had tried to charge for meals even though I had the meal plan. He really took me under his wing and it was a pleasure to be with him.
I hope I won't get him into trouble but I asked him if I could visit his house once we arrived in Jaipur, just to get an idea of the 'real' India and how people live.
He invited me for dinner with his wife and six children. Zubin, I have to say that it was the best experience of the entire trip! They made me so welcome, I played games with the kids, they sang to me and his wife cooked one of the best meals I've ever had.
There was a steady procession of family, friends and neighbours calling in to just say hello (and take selfies with me!). It was truly a magical experience and one I'll never forget.
After that evening we would continue on our journey to other locations but we would stop at little roadside 'Dhabas' for some real local food and Marsala Chai, which were not in the itinerary but gave me some wonderful experiences.
So all in all, both parts of the trip were excellent and your organisation skills in arranging for Lindsey to join me halfway through the holiday were truly exceptional and I did not expect you to say yes, but you did make it happen.
As Lindsey said, we would thoroughly recommend the company and will certainly book with you again. We are considering Laos,Thailand and Cambodia next so please let me have any info you have on those.
I'm also considering returning to Jaipur later in the year to undertake a full medical. I would also like to visit Mahaveer and his family again as we have all become good friends and the kids message me quite a bit on Facebook as I'm helping them with their English.

Kind regards, Gary Dear

KERELA 17.02.16. TO 02.03.16.

WE ARE VERY EXPERIENCED TRAVELLERS AND KNOW WHAT WE WANT FROM OUR HOLIDAYS. CONSEQUENTLY WE TAKE TIME AND PUT IN EFFORT PLANNING THEM. FORTUNATELY WE FOUND FALCON AND SACHZ LTD. FROM THE OUTSET ZUBIN SACHZ UNDERSTOOD OUR REQUIREMENTS AND WORKED TIRELESSLY WITH US TO ACHIEVE A MOST MEMORABLE HOLIDAY. WE INTEND RETURNING TO INDIA TO EXPLORE ANOTHER REGION AND WHEN WE DO WE WILL TURN TO ZUBIN FOR ADVICE AND GUIDANCE.

WE WERE A GROUP OF 6 TRAVELLING IN A LUXURY MINIVAN WITH A DRIVER AND A GUIDE. THE GUIDE ENHANCED THE HOLIDAY WITH HIS KNOWLEDGE AND PROFESSIONALISM; THE DRIVER WAS EXCELLENT, WE ALWAYS FELT SAFE WHEN ON THE MOVE.

THE HOLIDAY WAS COMPLETELY BESPOKE. WE SPENT 1 NIGHT IN FORT KOCHI AT THE TRIDENT HOTEL, 2 NIGHTS AT THE TEA COUNTRY RESORT IN MUNNAR, 2 NIGHTS AT GREENWOODS IN THEKKADY, 1 NIGHT AT COCOBAY RESORT KUMARAKOM, 2 NIGHTS ON BOARD A LUXURY HOUSEBOAT EXPLORING THE BACKWATERS AROUND ALLEPPEY AND FINALLY A BEACH HOLIDAY FOR 6 NIGHTS AT THE TAJ GATEWAY AT VARKALA.

Golden Triangle and Kerala tour April 2016

Can best be described as excellent from initial planning and contact with Zubin until return trip home. Guide for Golden triangle part of tour very knowledgeable organised and considering the driving skills we saw very safe. Hotels in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur were excellent. Hotel used near to Cochi airport was not as good. Best hotel was the Greenwoods at Thekaddy and the coffee bar in the treehouse was brilliant. Houseboat overnight stay and cruise in Alleppey was comfortable except for shower but having been on boating holidays before we understood that the facilities might not be five star. Final destination was the Turtle beach complex we arrived around 10 am and were told the room was ready but as it was early we were prepared to wait , but the three hours it took to get it ready and give us access to our cases to change was a bit much. But having said that a very enjoyable trip where we did a lot , saw a lot and definitely experienced a lot.

Golden Triangle Experience March 2016

We booked our tour with Falcon and Sachz, and asked for a tailor made tour. After several conversations with Zubin, who listened to our requirements and planned accordingly. We added various extras which included one night at the Marigold Hotel. This was amazing and we were joined at sunrise by six peacocks, and several dancing parrots, incredible!!
The whole tour was organised and executed perfectly from beginning to end, with our own wonderful driver, Vinod, and excellent guides throughout. There were daily phone calls from 'the office' to the driver, to make sure that the itinerary was ok and that we were happy. All flights went perfectly, and the hotels were wonderful, from 5 star to Heritage hotels, including a room facing the Taj Mahal, in Agra.
The vehicle was clean with air conditioning, and comfortable. The only hiccup we had was a lost suitcase at the beginning, and our driver, Vinod, went above and beyond expectation, making all the enquiries and phone calls necessary to retrieve the suitcase. We had the most amazing experience of the Holi Festival, with a mixture of all race, religion and ages coming together to celebrate life and the festival of colour.
We felt valued as customers throughout the entire trip, and as a result of the attention to detail from Falcon and Sachz, we had the experience of a lifetime, and memories to last forever. Many thanks to Zubin, Suresh from the local office in Jaipur, and our incredible driver, Vinod. We would have no hesitation in using this company again in the future, and to recommend it to others. Excellent value too. Teresa and Phil

Incredible India , our Karala holiday

Without a doubt this was the holiday of a lifetime. I had never realised that India has such beauty. For two weeks we were given treatment as if we were royalty; we had our own car and driver/guide who was unbelievable helpful, anticipating our every need. The hotels could not be faulted either for service , cleanliness or food. My 73rd birthday was during the tour and everyone celebrated it by surprise little gifts; best birthday ever.
The Cochin/ Karala area is spectacular for its beauty. We did everything from lounging on white sands under palm trees to staying on an Indian houseboat in which we sat like royalty even having a sumptuous bedroom! We even went to the waterside fishmonger and chose our evening meal of fresh prawn.
We watched graceful Indian dancing and attended an incredible performance of sword and fire acrobatics. My personal highlight was (free from the company) riding on an elephant and found that I was an elephant whisperer, or at least I thought so.A year has gone by but I recall every day of this wonderful holiday; its better than 'The Marigold Hotel' by a long way.
I do hope others enjoy the same holiday; the company is incredible and you have nothing to worry about at all, a rare experience in this day and age.

Throughly prepared trip and brilliant service

I went with this company to Delhi- Mandawa - Jaipur - Ranthambore - Agra in the North and then to Cherai Beach and Cochin Fort in Kerala.
My trip was great all way around – it was organised extremely well. The company are really very good – the itinerary was laid out perfect , to the little detail like the hotel in Agra was 10 minutes drive from Tadj Mahal, though I did not have a view, I did not have to pay 600 pounds for a night, in Mandawas the hotel was and old Haveli - so you could feel the experience of living in one of such houses.
I had a private car and driver all the way, breakfast and dinner included and the trips every single day, so I think that was a fantastic value for money for 2 weeks
You can not beat local knowledge and all guides knew their staff and were very helpful to me with my photos as they always showed the best points of view for architectural monuments.
Big cities are little tiring for me as they are huge cities , so I was charmed by smaller places like Mandawa and tiger resort in Ranthambore where you could hear birds chirping when you returned from The Old Fort in Ranthambore.
Not once was anybody late , everybody were very professional and helpful.
I recommend this company for solo ladies travelers like me as you are always with the driver or the guide or in a safe hotel - so there is no any risk to you.
I will use this company myself and recommend it to anybody who thinks of going to India, Once again it was a lovely combination on local knowledge and smooth operations.

Southern and Northern India tout 2015

A tailor made tour for Christmas put together expertly by Zubin of Falcon and Sachz. During the planning period we were constantly kept informed of all the itinerary developments upgrades and package bolt-ons.
The carefully planned itinerary worked out brilliantly.
During the southern leg in Kerala the standard of hotels were excellent ideally situated clean with very good facilities, We went for the individual tour guides at all the major attractions in all towns. However we didn't get one in Cochin. Our driver form Raspberry tours in Kerala was well presented and the car was clean but he seemed to be very vague on the itinerary and spoke little English.
The houseboat experience got off to a bad start with the boat provider turning up late and proceeded to march us through what can only be described as a rubbish dump to the a boat and was asked to wait again for our boat to arrive. When it finally arrived it looked like they had just taken it from a boat yard where it was half way through a refit. Eventually we settled on a different boat and enjoyed the backwater experience from then on - the crew were brilliant and the crab dish was to die for!
Then on to Turtle beach resort which was very chilled out. A lovely calm hotel on the beach with excellent food. Get the driver to take you to the booze shop before you arrive as the hotel is completely dry but they don't mind you taking a bottle of Sula, the local wine, into the restaurant.
The Northern leg of the journey started in Delhi at the Park hotel. It is a business orientated hotel aimed at the commercial traveller on expense accounts but in a great location. Our guide in Delhi was very good and knowledgeable.
Mandawa was a little gem. The hotel Castle Mandawa is one of the greatest hotels we have ever stayed in, truly atmospheric and fantastic staff. Our guide here was the best also he introduced us to Chai masala from a chap in the main street, it was like angles crying on your tongue.
On to Jaipur the hotel was well positioned but very basic staff unfriendly and very noisy. The spice court meal was possibly the worst dinning experience we have ever had. Marched to an unmade table in very harsh bright white lights no sooner we seated the look warm soup was slopped down on the table, no menu choice, no drinks menu, no cutlery. The following food then came piece meal firstly paneer in sauce on its own then the dips 10 minutes later. As this was an organised meal I would advise you to avoid it like the plague. The other organised meal at Indiana was very enjoyable. Our guide to Jaipur was an old Rajput - rude, bombastic, racist, homophobic and ignorant these were his good points.
We feel we missed the city's essence due to this guide.
Next leg Rambanthore was a nice alternative to historical sites and cities. A nice hotel relaxing good atmosphere with good food, Although we didn't see a tiger the safaris were really good. How difficult can it be to spot a great big stripey beast - very!!
Agra what a dirty town, the least attractive of all the towns but the hotel was very nice and the guide made the Taj breathtaking, Our driver took us to Baby Taj on the way out which was interesting.
Our driver in Rajasthan, Mahaveer, was an absolute treasure. Nothing was too much trouble, great English and a lovely man. He knew just the right time and place for Chai.
All in all a very professionally organised tour well balanced itinerary and a great experience. We can thoroughly recommend Falcon and Sachz.

Pan India. South and North India Adventure.

The holiday of a lifetime. Air India cancelled our early morning flight but got us on their next one in the afternoon. Not a good start but apparently not unusual for AI and no fault of Falcon and Sachz. Even though it was the middle of the night when we eventually arrived a driver and rep were waiting for us and that is how it continued for the whole 18days we were away. Mahaveer, the driver in the North was excellent and made two ladies travelling alone feel very safe and comfortable. He would pick up a guide for each place we visited and they too were very helpful and spoke good English. It was a busy 10 days in the North but we saw so much.
The South was a different world again and a welcome rest as we added 3 extra days at the little paradise called Turtle Beach. A trip on a house boat just for us on Vembanadu Lake was another little dream.
Thank you Zubin in the London office for all your help and organising. I must admit I was a little dubious of using a company I had never heard of but relied on Travel Zoo who had advertised them and was not dissapointed . Excellent company and excellent holiday.

Vietnam and Cambodia Group Tour

We booked a group of 27 people for a group tour to Vietnam with Cambodia. This was for celebration of our Silver Anniversary for Margaret, myself, our four children, grandchildren with friends. It was am excellent decision as we had a fabulous time. Earlier we as a couple, plus friends had booked a private tour for 4 to India, with falconandsachz.com and that was simply out of the world organization. Our group tour followed the same pattern... Exceptional customer service in England, patient handling of air tickets which was not easy with people opting in or out. Special thanks to Zee for his extreme patiience, and cheerful demeanour, each time he handled me in a panicky state with ever changing plans:) I don't know how he does it but thank you again. Vietnam was wonderful, the internal flights were delayed both times but we were well received, excellent hotels, though rooms in Hanoi Sheraton were a bit jaded, but excellent ambience and friendly staff.
Cambodia was simply stupendous... What majestic temples, worth every penny. And an excellent party at end for our 25th.
Recommend falcon and sachz? Well you will really miss out on the personalised service and a great holiday if you go with one of the other agencies. I am in fact sending them an email later to pester them to add more destinations.
Walter, Margaret with family & friends

Trip Number 5 :Istanbul, Vietnam, Laos, China and INDIA

A long overdue review. This is our Fifth holiday with Falcon and Sachz. It seems that we have our own personal holiday manager in Zee Sachz. He is always available and has managed after recommendations all our holidays in the last 4 years. The journey started with India. Taj Mahal and Kerala beach. We were totally sold to the idea of arranging all our holidays with Sachz at this stage. Meticulous and to the detail. We were treated like , what is the word, celebrities (am assuming that is what it feels like to be someone very important with so much attention and fuss). Then the same for Vietnam, Laos, China and now our trip to Istanbul. Which was nothing short of spectacular including the price. 4 nights in an amazing city. 5 star treatment and a very well organised tour. Though we were getting used to our own private tours, Istanbul was kind of semi private with the city tour being a group tour, but the cooking experience was private and so was the dinner that followed. Though i have never worked in a restaurant or as a chef, i feel i have the trappings of one and plan to get my own clay oven in the backyard (to the dismay of my wife) and try some of the tricks we learnt.
Recommend the Tour Agency: ABSOLUTELY AND WITHOUT HESITATION EACH AND EVERY TIME. Take my word for it, if you want to be treated like an individual and not a number with the big tour operators then definitely Falconand sachz

Golden Triangle Tour - Would definitely recommend

On the whole we had a fabulous trip which was well organised with no
hiccups. Itinerary suited our needs perfectly. Contact with Zubin from start to finish was excellent. Our guides were very good and our driver Mahaveer was excellent. He was patient, on time and most of all safe. We cannot recommend him enough although believe his employers should invest in a hands free phone device for him!

Hotels: The Park, Delhi. Had a great room on our first night here, service was good, food was fine. Our last night of the tour was also here and we changed our room because original one given was not that nice. Food on this occasion was not good as the buffet main courses only had a choice between Indian and Chinese dishes.

Mandawa Havelli, Jaipur. Loved the character of this hotel and service was very good. An oasis in the midst of chaos! Great Indian food here.

Fort Madhogargh. Loved this 'Marigold Hotel' experience. Room was very hot at night. Felt lucky that English speaking tour group was also there. Had we been there by ourselves then we might have felt a little less comfortable.

Four Points by Sheraton, Agra. Restaurant service was best we have ever experienced. Chef and restaurant manager both regularly visited our table and waiting staff were also excellent. Food was very good with plenty of choice from buffet which could be added to with request to chef. Room was comfortable and well equipped but soundproofing was pretty dreadful with noise being heard from adjoining rooms and outside on corridor. Room also felt a little damp with wet towels failing to dry at all overnight.

Would definitely use this company again.

India Holiday

India was simply amazing and so was the the service. Being a single traveller on a long 25 day holiday was a bit daunting at first. But then there were so many friendly people who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Being part of a group was great for the first 10 days and the remaining 15 days i travelled solo to places that was customised to suit my India list of things to do. The driver was lovely and became my man Friday. Always there to help, and became a good friend through out the journey.
Falcon and Sachz, i am totally impressed with these guys. They ensured that my trip was worth every penny i paid for. They upgraded my whole trip as a solo traveller and were in regular touch to ensure i was happy and having a good time. The best thing about the private leg of the journey was that i could actually alter my travel itinerary and go to places i wanted to visit when in a particular city. There were no extra charges. They had assured me that there were no hidden charges and there were none. Take my word for it and watch out for this company , they have all the makings of a great tour company and i will be booking my travel with them to China as well as other Far East in the next couple of years.
And yes am writing this from Turkey, which again is with Falcon and Sachz too and so far the holiday has been great. Istanbul...magic.

Pan India North and South India 15 days

Came back after 15 days of holiday from India. It was a restful and wonderful holiday. An amazing experience, and I never thought I would ever say this but a spiritual journey too. Amazing country, unbelievably warm people . The entire holiday was seamless and I cannot fault a single aspect planning, organisation and personalised service. We had a mini coach for eight, 24 hours a day, guides at all major places, elephant rides, jeep safaris ( saw a tiger and her 2 cute cubs too), , stayed at forts and stately homes and then we flew t to Kerala after a breathtakingly beautiful visit to fabulously amazing Taj Mahal. I thought what could better that? Well a totally refreshing visit to unspoiled beaches and warm seas, a once in a life time houseboat stay experience. And warm hospitalality by falconandsachz staff made this the best holiday for me and my family, and friends. On all our behalf, thank you Zebin for the fantastic service and I shall not forget this holiday for many many years. I have booked holidays myself and through others but you guys have been fantastic.

Everything Totally Fantastic

If you gave me a feedback form and there was a box for "exceeded expectations" then there would be a big fat tick in it. Looking back over the holiday I can truthfully say t
at every day had a highlight. The first day, of course everything was new, but to have a rickshaw ride through Old Dehli in the rush hour was something else. The Park was as expected but I must say the food was superb. We both had massages there, which set us up for our trip to Mandawah. The old castle hotel had a charm about it and was delightful, the guide told us that it hadn't rained there for 10 years, but we were stuck in a shop for more than half an hour because of hailstones. Unbelievable. Shopping had to be done. Then on to Jaipur, accommodation excellent, where we had our own terrace. Lovely. I got to see my first Indian dancing. We were quite alarmed when the dancer balanced on the sharp sides of swords. I think Howard would have paid her money to stop. Ranthambhore, what can I say. In my minds eye I can still see the tiger padding down to the water and roaring at the canters. Could it get any better than that? Well yes, twice yes. The Taj Mahal and then The Kingdom of Dreams. Perfect. You arranged everything wonderfully Zubin. Mahaveer was an excellent driver. I don't know how he does it. The guides informative and helpful. Suresh phoning at least twice a day to see if everything was okay. Excellent. Well done. Best wishes Howard and Elaine

holiday to india (kerala)

I am writing this review as i had promised these guys i will give an honest appraisal of their holiday. To be very honest, initially i was apprehensive to book with Falcon & Sachz. I had not heard of them, but had found them while surfing through travelzoo offers. For this reason alone i booked my family holiday with them (Well they did have a massive discount on their package :) Plus with a family of 4 every penny saved counts. However i was quite worried before i actually showed up with family in tow as i thought what if these guys have just sold me some holiday nonsense. Especially as it was more than half price cheaper in comparison to other agencies selling similar packages)
To cut short a long story. It was 15 great days. Brilliant holiday, lovely choice of resorts (they upgraded us in 4 out of 6 hotels) Our Guide and Driver, Saurabh Kham, was excellent and there was nothing that was too much of an effort. I did have some reservations of their choice of Hotel in Kumarakom, however they changed it for us in less than 24 hours. I am really impressed with these guys and recommend them unreservedly. Cheers guys :-)
