UPDATE: I HAVE BEEN LEFT WAITING FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE 1 HOUR I have had Fsecure since 2015 years
Recently it constantly turns itself off I have been a victim of theft from my cash card TWICE .There is no customer service if your problem doesnt come under the drop down box you can forget it.Horrific don't even think about getting it .Have had lost nearly two thousand pounds this year (fortunately all returned) it keeps turning off and is totally unreliable please do not use it !

Overall f secure has worked ok but recently is causing the screen to freeze when using Google. Force stop or uninstall f secure and
screen unfreezes.

Having worked in IT for over 40 years I have used F-Secure on many systems without any problems whatsoever. I recently installed the VPN trial. It performed so well that I decided to make purchase.

F-Secure changed there software which then locked me out of there password vault.
Continually chased my single point of contact customer care, who just kept telling me to be patient. Their sales pitch tells you to trust in them and rely upon the security of using their password vault, and then they fumble the software development and lock you out. Apparently they have now sorted the problem with a hot fix. No good to me mind as out of complete frustration after having to put my life on hold, I took matters into my own hands and inadvertently created a new password which then locked me out. They now tell me it has overwritten my original passwords. I might add in my defence that there was absolutely no support, or advice about not interacting with there interface in this situation. I asked five times to escalate the issue, this was ignored. And I was just told some waffle about no mechanism to talk to back room team? They are not to be trusted and all too keen in passing the buck on to the customer. How can a software security company expect a person to not need access to there passwords for over a month. Please beware this company does not care they operate in there own little bubble, the user is just an inconvenience. My only consulation is that they say there sorry!

GOOD The basic virus/malware protection is fine, and there are few to no unnecessary popups. The product does not noticeably slow down the average PC. Scans are pretty quick.

ILLEGAL: Always difficulty with installing the provided "key" (which they do NOT properly send as promised, and which is unnecessarily processed through yet another 3rd party company). Must send emails back to to, begging for them to activate a product I've already paid for. And, like most companies these days, F-Secure forces you into automatic renewal when you buy the product; you WILL be charged each year, unless you jump through hoops to turn off the autorenewal.
This is a violation of EU and many US state laws, but F-Secure does not care, and breaks the law.

UNACCEPTABLE/HUGE FAIL: F-Secure has NO firewall whatsoever (they purposely removed it over a decade ago, failing to listen to their upset users). You are entirely dependent on weak built-in Windows firewall if you use F-Secure. AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

I made an attempt to delete my account, but it did not recognise my password so I tried to change password which was impossible. Took me to the same page so I deleted my subscription from Apple and deleted the app. There’s nothing I can do. I try to email them but the email was returned back to me. I have been with F secure since 2019 but it is completely useless.

F Secure have put a 2 step verification process on my account, which I cannot access. They will not remove it and therefore I cannot access my account or cancel my subscription. The customer service has been non-existent and they will not help in any way. I have never authorised this change to my account and am left helpless.

Terrible product ! The customer service is a joke only answer to the phone white any help . I have been customer for more than 15 years . In the last 2 years every time when a new update is caming the VPN and Banking protection is not working proprely . If I will get for free I will not continue my subscribsion .

I had an issue with accessing my account tried password reset which did not rectify the situation. I contacted them late on a Sunday via remote conversation and the operator Muzakkir was brilliant it took a while as there was a tech issue but he found a solution and reset the account. Brilliant service.

What a horrible app. Blocks everything so your apps don't work properly. Not recommended for Mac users!

After being late to renew my subscription, my entire account was deleted. This erased all the passwords stored in the f-secure password manager, with no option to renew the subscription to regain access to the account and the passwords stored on it.

f-secure internet security with VPN
since they put the antivirus software and the VPN together in one package, I only had problem with it. before when it was seperated its works very fine.

I needed more than 14 month till we found a goal, by taking out the VPN from the software.
but a big + they gave me 9 more month with the antivirus insted.
after I changed to another VPN company and it works perfect again.
I only kept the antivirus software till it will finish the deadline.

a robust AV that is super user friendly, a can easily see why its in the top 10 AV on the market. i would say i liked it a bit more than bitdefender and eset.

only downside is that it costs alot and lacks a firewall

This app is no longer fit for purpose due to its battery drain. My phone was literally sucked out of its life overnight due to 80% power consumption by F Secure. I have deleted the app and will not be renewing my contract until this is fixed.

I've been using F-secure as a multi device protection. for the best part of 20 years as it has often been part of the service. included by Virgin Media. Throughout that period it seems to have quietly got on and done what it's supposed to do without too much fuss. And when I have had to deal with some processing issues on older kit as it got modified I did receive relatively instant support online,. I haven't had any (touchwood) breaches of security And the basic deal packaged with Virgin Media. Services is extremely competitive. at roughly £25 per year for protection that includes fishing., virus, banking. family surfing, etc. In more recent years, I've uncovered the fact that the much bigger firms in the market s are involved in slightly dodgy measures to down play the effectiveness of F secure by proactive support of positive reviews subsidised by them. So the public need to be very aware of this. and some of the big players. are extremely annoying in their aggressive way of getting their brand out there as soon as you've turned on your new computer for instance.

I have an issue with the VPN element of my Total program. Support is abysmal.... They take 3-4 days to respond and when they do is clear they havent read what the issue is. So then provide a 3rd update on the wrong program!!!! still waiting for a response now for 4 days. Program hasnt worked for over two weeks..... Would give no stars if that was possible.

My internet accounts have been hacked.
My accounts have been taken over.
F secure will not speak to me.
They appear to be uncontactable.
What am l suppose to do ?

They took my money but provided NO SERVICE!!!!! Now I can't even log in.

I want my licence for which I paid or my money back. Those are the two options.

The total package blocks access to software it shouldn't. First of it is very complicated to find out what software it blocked, you basically have to extract a support file and browse to the text files to find the issue. Support is no help either. I've had the software for a couple of months and had to explain to them how it worked. Then I had to jump through hoops and follow complex instructions just to come to the same conclusion. After one month of useless answers it has now been two weeks I haven't heard back.

The mains screen is constantly littered with useless messages. First telling me my subscription has expired while it hadn't. I had to reinstall the software for that one but support somehow considered this was the way it was supposed to work (not a bug) Then it keeps whining about the password managers and extensions I don't want to install.

The Total Security package is also misleading as it doesn't have a firewall.
