Epoxy treatment gets expensive at this end.

I looked at home center products before deciding on 100% solids Exterior performance products. After hot water pressure washing and grinding the floor as prep, I put down their oil stop primer; a black base coat; a double coat of epoxy metallics and finally a clear polyaspartic top coat. All together about $1.5K for < 400 sq ft of coverage (this includes machine rentals). I coated a 4x8 plywood sheet with product as practice and tried different treatments. What can I say? As a first attempt it came out ok. Dust and a few mis-steps and I'm happy its done. Time will tell if the floor holds up but it seems like a quality product. The chat support is priceless and its what really sold me on going with EPC. (Caution: the support people may not know the specific layers that go into the floors illustrated on the website) Advice:Watch all of the YouTube videos you can first and plan EVERY step. Do a plain gray floor first if you have an opportunity to practice. Do a 4x8 practice sheet to try different effects on the metallics coat. Have a helper, one mixing and one back-rolling. Oh, and go for the extended dry time polyaspartic 85. The regular sets up so fast that its tough not to leave roller marks in the wet edge.

Great product! Fantastic Customer Service!

I bought the 5500 polyaspartic clear coating for my pine table that I moved outside on my back porch. Due to the outside elements the table was becoming weathered and dirtying. I applied this product and now my table looks great and is protected for years to come! It will probably outlast me! The coating was easy to apply and George answered all of my questions. George walked me thru the process and also provided me with useful tips on how to apply and the type of roller I need to use for application..

Not Happy with this product

Not Happy with this product. A week after applying and not driving on the floor and maintaining 67% temp. My employee spilled 10 gallons of wheel cleaner on floor and it eat the coating were it was spilled ! My other shop 2 years ago I used the home depot brand and its looks better than this new floor. Its worn but over 200 cars a month get washed and detailed on it. 1/4 the cost. Sorry to say. After 2 days of prepping floor , renting a machine to grind floor with a diamond disc only to be let down. After my time , efforts and what I spent on this product , I should of spent the extra $2000.00 and had a flooring company do it.

I ended up having to cover the epoxy…

I ended up having to cover the epoxy within 6 months as it started to peel and come up from normal waking and rolling of stools. Very disappointed. The guys who intstalled it for me were professionals who called and spoke with manufacturer to make sure done correctly and still peeled up. Definitely would not buy again
