Caused unnecessary stress
We used ExSeed and received a result of zero sperm, which was very distressing for us, especially given how it was delivered (in a matter of fact way without any softening or suggestion that there may be a technical issue).
We followed this up with a formal clinical semen analysis shortly afterwards, which showed a high sperm count (188 million total), normal morphology, and only an issue with motility, so a completely different picture.
While I understand that at-home tests have limitations, the gap between these results is significant and caused prolonged, unnecessary stress at an already sensitive time.
There is not enough emphasis on how easily results can be affected by factors like sample handling, timing, or technical issues. For something positioned in the fertility space, where people are often anxious and vulnerable, that feels like a serious shortcoming.
At best, this test seems unreliable. At worst, it risks misleading customers into thinking there is a severe issue when there may not be.
I would strongly recommend either avoiding this test or confirming any concerning result with a proper clinical analysis before drawing any conclusions.

The stakes are too high, leave this to professional labs
I decided to get an ExSeed test as my partner and I had been trying to get pregnant for a few months without succeeding. The results were devastating: the first test returned 1 million/ml and the second a month later returned 0!!
On the second test, I felt that something went wrong, the sample didn't look like it properly populated the slide, however the team assured me that it was a valid test.
I just carried out a lab test and received results of over 7 million. The lab advised that viscosity was a bit higher than usual, which would have caused this issue with ExSeed. There are too many variables and stakes here, stay away from home tests and go to a clinic directly!

Sadly this kit did not work at all
Sadly this kit did not work at all. We followed the instructions really carefully, watching the video a few times before attempting. We got inconclusive results, and couldn’t see anything on the video. The help team were friendly and responsive however they couldn’t do anything and said we need to test again. This result made us really worried!! Three weeks later I found out I was pregnant so obviously nothing wrong with my husbands sperm but certainly made us worry and was a waste of £80. I would recommend just spending the extra money and go to a doctor at a fertility clinic!!!!

Poor customer service; product not delivered…
I ordered a kit and 11 days later I still received no tracking link, no update on where it was. When contacting their support an AI agent responded asking me questions like what my tracking link was and to confirm my address. I don’t think they have humans in their support team, they did nothing to 1) reassure me the product was on the way or 2) apologise for the lack of information and frustration caused; simply accepted I wanted a refund; but I’m so frustrated because as I said to them: what I wanted is the product and clarity that it was coming. 12 emails later, nothing.
Truly disappointed and advise steering clear.

This report wasn't accepted by private doctors since there is no morphology mentioned anywhere in the report. Don't you think this is an important factor? What for then this test is meant to be carried for if it only gives half results.

Our test reports total motile sperm count, which is calculated using sperm concentration, motility, and your sample volume. This is considered by the WHO as the strongest indicator of fertility, and it’s the parameter most clinicians focus on when assessing chances of natural conception.
Regarding morphology, we understand why it’s often requested. It can provide useful context, but it also has well-recognised limitations — results can vary significantly between labs, it’s highly subjective, and it doesn’t consistently predict fertility outcomes on its own. Because of this, many specialists prioritise motility-based measures such as total motile sperm count.

Don't buy this
Don't buy this. The sheer amount of times that a 'normal' non lab trained fella can contaminate or get things wrong is too many to declare this to be a viable reading of ones sperm count.
I did one, showed good counts but motility was an issue - I hate tested clinically and there are no issues at all, when I asked the clinic about the results from exseed they put it down to varying factors in how you record the sample and how it's analysed. One thing I found is teh pipette is useless and your better advised getting your own pipette type instrument to deliver the smaller sample onto the slide.
Nice idea but pay the £78 and get it done by a proper lab. Pointless home kit

My partner and myself have been trying to convince for around 6 months, as time passed I decided to take a test to check my own fertility. Having tried another test in the past which didn't provide me with an answer, I found ExSeed, I was a little sceptical at first. Once I had done the test and was shown the results I was blown away by the level of detail shown in the results. I think all men should do a fertility test for peace of mind before embarking on the journey of starting a family. This kit was incredibly easy to use with a easy to follow videos through the whole process.
