Excellent after sales service

Excellent after sales service. Rang up about a broken lever door opening and Danny had it sorted and sent me a replacement part received within 48hours. He also took the trouble to take me step by step on how to swap out the old unit for the new part.

What a mess

What a mess ! I was quoted one amount, when the sales guy left he called and said knock off another $500.00 as there was a coupon. So when I decided to go with them he came to collect a deposit and said no, that was the wrong amount , told him he called me just a few minuets after he left about the new total…nope no discount…decided to go with them anyways…bad decision.

Sales man told me my bay would be in 4-6 weeks, it is now over 4 months!!! Every time I call I get a different answer.

My two side window came in and set up a apt for them , guy told be it was for 9:00 and would take just over a hour. Ok, that was good as I had a meeting later. They came 30 minuets late and said it would be at least 2-3 hours, I told them no and I would call. The workers themselves were very nice and I do not blame them at all.

Called and asked for the manager, explained I had a meeting, it felt like he was yelling and talking over me, very rude. I also explained it was a big inconvenience that my bay will be here end of Sept and I will not, I have to make special arrangements and spend $$$ to come home for this. He could not care less.

I wish they were truthful with amount and times, very disappointed with this.

Honestly dont bother with this company

Honestly dont bother with this company. They put french doors in and made a mess of the wall (plastering) if you can call it that. They fitted a window and sealed the outside without even smoothing it down. They left a big pile of rubbish at the bottom of my garden and didnt tell me. With a few months the french door they fitted dropped and left a big gap that let cold air. It took months to get them to come out and fix it after promosing and letting us down numerous times. Only came out after we left negative reviews and wanted them taking down. Less than a year later and the door has dropped again.... Do i even bother contacting them again? Easier to pay someone else. Also the french doors let in so much draft (sides of the glass and lock)

Window and Door Instalment

We recently had all our window replaced and rear doors. Trade express, were local to us and came in at a more competitive price than bigger firms and were much more upfront and cordial about the process too. They were also super helpful and made good suggestions during the decision making process . When work commenced, staff were timely, efficient hard working and got the job done in nearly half the time we were originally told. The results were stunning, the finish was carefully monitored and inspected, to make sure we were 100% happy with the job, which we were. It's great to find and support a local firm that really excels at what they do.

Follow on review of Express Windows

I was shocked when Tomasz Smyck from Express Windows contacted me out of the blue, nearly 2 years after leaving me with a shoddy and unfinished job in 2019. He apologised for his previous behaviour and explained that he had been going through some problems at the time and would now appreciate the chance to come back, to rectify and complete the work. He asked to come and inspect the job to note what needed doing. We arranged this visit.
So he now accepted and apologised for the fact that my job was left incomplete in 2019. He (and his partner) had reneged on their promises to return and make good the damage caused to my property during the installation (both inside and out), wasting months of my time and causing me great inconvenience and distress at the time.

Within a short time, it became clear why he was contacting me again. He just wanted me to remove the negative reviews I had left on various internet sites.
I accepted the apology and agreed for him to return to repair the damage and complete the job. I also agreed to remove the reviews once I was happy with the job.
A couple days later, he came back to me and asked me to pay £250, which was the amount I had previously withheld, from the total £1500. I was actually shocked and considered this demand unreasonable, given the background. He had left me in a mess when he absconded from the job nearly 2 years ago and I certainly couldn't accept that I owed him anything! On the contrary, he owed me.

I would also need a certification and guarantee for the job.

For clarity I requested an agreement to be signed as an undertaking, before the work could proceed.
Subject to the work being completed to a good standard, I agreed (purely as a goodwill gesture), to remove the reviews.

He refused to sign the agreement and even wanted me to pay in advance for the replacement glass, (required to adhere to double glazing standards). I said I would pay half up front and the balance on completion, but that he needed to sign the document. He refused. I realised he hadn't changed!

Please don't deal with this company!!!

UPDATE ON MY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH EXPRESS WINDOWS LTD

The owner Thomas Smyck has subsequently spent a lot of time and effort in contacting various review platforms in efforts to have my reviews of him removed. The honourable companies refused to remove the reviews on the basis of the evidence I had provided them. (THANK YOU TRUSTPILOT). He even managed to put a reply on one of them saying I was a 'difficult customer' and that I could always contact him to resolve the matter. Is wanting a job completed to a reasonable standard, asking too much, and does that make me a difficult customer?

I had attempted to contact him again last year in yet another attempt to give him a chance to come back to repair and finish the substandard job he had left me with. Needless to say I never heard back from him! I only hope he hasn't left any other customers in the situation he left me! I do hope he reads this as these unscrupulous contractors need to understand the impact on people left with unprofessional and shoddy jobs!

Courteous service

The company took care to make sure they measured up correctly. However we discovered the low aluminium threshold option only by visiting their factory. This is a great option as it avoids a trip hazard. The owner confirmed fitting the day before and their fitters arrived on time in a smart van. The fitters were polite and courteous, did not have a radio and removed shoes before entering the property. The dust sheet they laid could have looked cleaner, but they did lay one. In practice there was no noticeable dust. The final job is neat, fully sealed, the fitters tidied up before leaving the job and took all debri with them. Definitely recommend.
