Experience Mission is an incredible organization that made me feel cared for and important. The US staff is very personable and professional and was always quick to answer any of my questions or concerns. The EM Africa staff is like a family who welcomes you home with open arms and shares their life with you. I would recommend EM to anyone who is passionate about building close relationships and getting to know people without an agenda.

Incredible people that make you feel like they are your friends and not just staff members. They are very good at what they do and making sure your experience is what you make it. They are very encouraging and trustworthy. The trips will change your life for the better. If you ever get an opportunity like this do it!

I have made lifelong friends. God works so much in these relationships, and the philosophy behind these missions and this organization is so effective and life-changing.

If you want a real, genuine expereince with the community and experience the culture in a real way, Experience Mission is the organization. The worldview training in Africa is eye opening and life changing. The communities I served in and families I lived with forever changed my view on life.

I had an amazing time overseas. It’s unfortunate that my trip was taking place at the same time as COVID-19 and therefore my trip was cut short. Through the hard decision of having to bring team members home, EM had to also make some decisions that were hard for me to process. With that being said, their priority through all of it was the people who were on their teams, even when it was hard to remember that or see it. Through coming back home, I’m able to more clearly see that my life changing experience I had is almost entirely credited to EM, second to God. The organization approaches ministry in the most beautiful way and has reshaped the way I look at relationships with others. My time overseas really was a life changing experience.

I loved every minute, and would do it all over again if I could!

I joined an immersion team in 2015, and it honestly had such an impact on my life! Everything big that’s happened since then, sparked off that one decision to say “yes!” I’m forever thankful for that experience & can still say it was one of my best decisions!(:

Experience Mission's approach to missions is very relational, and biblically focused. They provide training in a relevant, and God centered way that not only prepares you for your time serving with them, but also the rest of your life. The staff provides excellent support in preparation for, during and after your trip or internship.

Experience Mission is a visionary in missiology. Such a careful framework, and I encourage anyone to look into them, no matter your denominational background. They have both a firm network of support and an essential creativity for global missions.

EM sticks to The Word in their teaching and training. Their missions trips are well planned out and they seek to build up the communities they are investing in rather than creating a cycle of dependency on the organization. I love this organization!

Experience Mission is an amazing organization. They truly seek to do missions through a biblical prespective, constantly striving to provide a sustainable way to build relationships. Christ is at the forefront of everything they do. They train missionaries, shaping their worldview to aligns with scripture, equipping them to impact the world around them for the glory of the Kingdom.

I was a Missions Program Coordinator during the summer of 2019 and it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life! I was the construction coordinator at Pikeville, KY and I had 2 others leading with me. This was by far the most challenging and most rewarding summer that I have ever had. Some weeks we were more sad to see the teams leave than others, but even the most difficult teams did not take away from the joy I got from helping some people that really needed it. There were hard days, sad days, and plenty of days that I felt out of my depth, but through it all I was able to deepen my relationship with God because I could do nothing but trust in him. I am so glad that I took this opportunity and I would do it again if I could!

Finding a missions organization online that truly fit how I believe missions should be done left me skeptical. But going with EM to Cuba was one of the best decisions I ever made. They are a well run authentic organization that cares for people and the places they serve deeply. Like I did, you could be wondering if its all worth the hype but if your looking for a place that does missions through a culturally competent lens this is your place. EM has amazing values, take care of each trips every detail, and I do not know one person other person who went on a trip at the same time as me who felt any other way.

My 3-month journey to and in South Africa with EM was one of the most life-changing and most rewarding experiences I’ve had in my life to date. The sense of community and camaraderie I formed with my team uplifted and encouraged me in a way that made me feel at home, though I was thousands of miles away from what I knew to be my safe haven. Through EM’s leadership development and equipping of disciples, I was able to experience a move of God that was way bigger and way more important than me. Having my eyes opened to the vastness and goodness of God (outside our small American lens) was so humbling and a little shocking/uncomfortable but also helped me understand the gospel in a more meaningful and beautiful way. I still communicate often with my team and host family, and I truly wouldn’t trade those 3 months for anything. My only complaint is that I wish I could return to SA every 3 months forever. Your journey with Experience Mission will transform you, your character, and your view of God’s mission in the world in ways you didn’t even know you needed. Take the journey!

I went with them to South Africa for 3 months. It was a really good experience. All the logistics were handled well. Sometimes there was a bit of a sacristy mentally but we were always well feed and our needs were met. When a conflict arose during the trip, EM handled it well.

Experience Mission is an unorganized, chaotic, muddled, company that leads you to believe you will actually be doing "mission work". They tell you all these great things and testimonials from their staff who were on teams at one time or another. You have "training" about your faith and how to bridge to cultural gap to be able to share your faith. But once you get to your "mission field" your only task is to live like the natives. But the natives that you stay with are hand-picked by the organization to make sure they are safe families for us to stay with, therefore, the families are already believers. If this is your goal and what you want to do, then, by all means, take this trip. But if you want to impact the culture, actually do work that is helpful, tell more than your house family, who already knows the Lord, about His goodness and salvation, then I would not recommend Experience Mission.

Through Experience Mission I went on the 6-month Caribbean Immersion program. EM gave me the tools and opportunities to experience what God needed me to in order to really see Him, see His people, and my place in all of that. And my time in the Caribbean changed my life and everything I learned impacts everything I do now, every conversation, every person I meet, and I’m so thankful! EM is passionate about teaching the groups of people they send to be willing to be open to the new culture(s) they will be experiencing, as well as to look upon every new face, in every economic situation, in every culture with respect and kindness. And in all of that, the hope is that people (missions groups) are challenged to not think of missions as a short-term project helping those in need, but rather an extension of their everyday lives to come alongside people that don’t need your help, but are happy and thankful to welcome generous, self-less, serving hearts ready to be whatever is needed, even if that is just a person building a relationship, and not a structure. I went on the 1 month Holy Land trip and it was awesome! It was amazing being able to hear God's word in the place it was written. It truly felt like I was walking in Jesus's footsteps. I recommend Experience Mission 100%. It was truly a life changing experience.
