Worst experience with Expedia
Worst experience with Expedia, they are cheaters. I will never trust Expedia or book my next airline with this untrustworthy airlines ever. They are a money making business who cheat and steal money by making incorrect reservations and charge a lot of money later, it’s just silly. I will definitely let BBB know saying that they cheat with airline prices and I will inform the airlines too about their unreliability.
Customer service agents at Expedia are the WORST not sure if they are real humans!
Customer service is APPALLING!
Customer service is excruciatingly poor. I spent HOURS of my time trying to get a refund for a service Expedia did not provide, AND nearly $100 on international toll calls in the process!
The hotel had no record of the booking via Expedia.com when we arrived, despite Expedia sending me email confirmation and taking my money 2 months prior. We had to pay again at check out as we (and the hotel) did not hear back from Expedia during our 3 night stay. I provided a receipt to show I had paid again, and after Expedia repeatedly said they were unable to reach the hotel after ‘multiple tries’ I also contacted the hotel myself and had them send an email to Expedia to confirm there was no booking in the system and that I was owed a refund. From there it was over a month, with emails every couple of days, going around in circles and getting a similar completely useless response from Expedia, which also indicated they had not even acknowledged the email from the hotel to confirm! Ignored any actual questions in my email. I repeatedly asked them to call me to discuss this as I was getting nowhere, they said they could not get through on my number (strange considering I never have issues receiving international calls, and provided it in international format), I eventually phoned their US number and finally managed to get them to agree to a refund after 45 min on the phone - DO NOT book through this company, if you value your time and mental health.
Expedia - do the right thing and pay my international toll charges incurred as a result of your terrible customer service!
NEVER use Expedia
Expedia is absolutely impossible. There is no human interaction, their "interactive chat" is nothing more the a set of FAQs in an endless loop, and they seem to hold the companies they represent hostage. I will no longer use them for any party of my travel itinerary.
Avoid Expedia at all costs
Avoid Expedia at all costs - Ruined my trip and left me stranded!
I'm writing this review as a warning to others after my disastrous experience with Expedia. I've used them for all my travel bookings in the past, but my latest experience was a nightmare. Expedia's mistake left me stranded at Heathrow Airport, missing my flight and causing me immense stress.
The issue began when Expedia ticketed me incorrectly, providing a false record locator. As a result, I couldn't obtain a boarding pass from Delta, and their customer support was unable to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, Expedia's customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive, refusing to reimburse me for my missed flight or assist in finding a new flight back home.
The level of incompetence and lack of customer care is appalling. I've lost all trust in Expedia and will never use them again. If you value your time and money, stay far away from Expedia.
Rating: 1/5 stars (and that's being generous)
Absolutely one of the worst customer…
Absolutely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Trying to update your profile is impossible. My profile still has a very old email address that I thought had been removed but is still there. The customer service can’t or won’t update to the newer email. Not to mention they took away all my loyalty points! Don’t use these people- Run with your feet.
Same here!!!
Same here!!!! IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!! Horrible company. How is it that they could be non-refundable they should be able to honor the 24 hour or 48 hour. Had emergency with my mother and They wouldn’t even consider giving me a portion of my refund back just out of Goodwill and compassion. F#%€¥ THIEVES. Never!!! Horrible customer service and policy… you get the run around on the phone. Endless BS!! PLEASE DONT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA.
i would give less then 1 star if…
i would give less then 1 star if possible. you lied and told me you were the hotel itself and now i cant get a receipt or my rewards. why would you lie. that is a terrible business practice
Absolutely disgusting
Rented a car from DRIVALIA thought Expedia assuming Expedia would only represent good companies! Dam was I WRONG!
Drivalia charge me over 500 euro for damage but luckily I did a walk around video at pickup and at return so my credit card gave me back the money.
Expedia customer service was shi#%π¥!
DON'T USE EXPEDIA OR DRIVALIA!!
I wish I could give them a zero
I wish I could give them a zero. My father booked an upcoming trip for my family and accidentially booked under me, under my ex-husbands last name. I gave them $750,4 weeks ago to change this. They have still not changed it. Flight is in 5 days. Also as other have said endless hold and endless random representatives with fake names. I asked to speak with someone in the U.S. and they claimed they were in New jersey. Honestly it has all been insane
Worst costumer service I have gotten in…
Worst costumer service I have gotten in my life . The attitude is unacceptable. Questioning and interrupting while the costumer speaks . Expedia better train the people who talk to costumer on their behalf . Will be deleting my app and vouch to never book anything using EXPEDIA !
I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS
Expedia has the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service. It has been HELL to get my refund (they still have a hotel listed on their site that has been sold), which could have been handled so simply by them. They are giving me the most deceitful and pathetic responses via email, telling me they cannot get through to me on the phone (no missed calls up to this day) and refuse to deal with it over email. I will be suing. Just know if you book with them you are at risk of losing all your vacation money. I will never use their services ever again.
Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible! I had insurance and am filling a claim, will see how this works out but I shouldn't have to go through this!
Horrible and costly Expedia experience
I made a booking for a hotel in northern Norway for 9 nights. The receipt for the booking said a twin bed but I had ordered a superior room with king bed. I tried to change the booking to a king bed but was told that would incur a cost even though I paid for booking protection. I called the hotel in Norway and they said it was difficult to change and I would have to contact expedia. That is when I was told it would require a fee. and they were not sure they could do it. I then said cancel the booking and the guy said that would cost $125, but when the email to do that came it said $200. Oh no the guy on the phone said always $200. What did I pay the protection fee for? Clearly Expedia gave me an incorrect hotel booking deliberatly to generate more income. I will never ever use expedia again. I urge others to have peace of mind and avoid Expedia at all cost (and the cost could be high if you use them).
I paid $700 for a ticket to DR from…
I paid $700 for a ticket to DR from Orlando A potentially life threatening category 4 hurricane will be active in the area the day of and day after my flight I tried to get them to move me to a flight that was 2 days later so the hurricane can have time to pass They’re refusing to make any accommodations and said my flight was too cheap for them to do anything
Customer service at Expedia does not exist
I booked a hotel with Expedia and I guess somewhere in all the reloading of pages… the date of my stay ended up being wrong. It was a non-refundable booking and although I began immediately to attempt to change it (via a bot) no luck and no followup…so I just took another run at it and was successful, but it was HELL. You have to use backdoor searches to get a phone number so you can talk to someone and live in technology purgatory for a close to an hour, more if you total all the time you’ve spent. Expedia, like so many others, only care about money and could give a rip about their customers. Say NO to Expedia!
Expedia are DISHONEST!
I booked a hotel room via Booking.com, and then chose Expedia due to a supposedly good deal.
Long story short, I am still waiting for a refund for one of the nights I'd paid for. The Manager of The Grand Central Station Serviced Apartments in Auckland, NZ where I was staying promised me the refund (3 intruders had gotten into a supposedly secure hotel and were calling out, trying to get into my room which kept me awake all night).
Expedia claim the refund was processed on May 12th. It hasn't appeared in my PayPal account or my bank account, and it's now May 31st!
Absolutely unprofessional company who clearly scam people. Never ever booking anything with Expedia (or the Grand Central Serviced Apartments) again. Neither treats you with respect nor cares. They both just want our money only.
Has been an incredibly frustrating, disappointing and upsetting experience.
On hold for over an hour
On hold for over an hour, two phones going at once trying to get hold of someone, missed my cutoff time for cancellation because of this. BULL and still on hold
The process has been deeply…
The process has been deeply frustrating. I am booking four rooms, have been an Expedia customer for ten years. I am unable to get confirmation numbers or see all four rooms on Trip itinerary. Can't speak to anyone Chatbot is in left field with useless info.
Horrible!
Horrible!
I asked for a call back as there was an hour wait.
No Call.
So I called again... after 20 mins got a person...
I was 1.5 hours with an Expedia Rep (Not in US)-
whose computer crashed 4 times... then I was on hold as she went back and forth with a supervisor... all to NO avail!
I pray this trip goes smoother than trying to deal with Expedia!
I would give a 0 if the option was…
I would give a 0 if the option was available. They not only misinformed us regarding the booking they took over 2 hours on the phone to figure out they made a mistake and could not fix it. I will NEVER book with them again.
