Premium price for a very basic set up, and terrible customer service - be careful
I paid £650 for 2 hours in their party bus (1 hour each way). Please be wary before transferring money to this company- they care about finances but seemingly little interest in the quality of your experience.
Red flags before the day of the event:
1. I found them through 'add to event' website. Having exchanged messages on that site I was advised to pay a £250 deposit and then I would receive a confirmation email. I had to chase for the email and then when I received it, it was a one sentence email - no details of the booking location/times, no company signature, very basic - immediately i was concerned about how reputable the company was but deposit paid I was locked in
2. I was sent more information when I requested it, but communication came through a mix of emails, texts, WhatsApp which was not particularly professional
3. Couple of weeks before the event, I was sent a WhatsApp asking to change the collection time as the bus needed to go the garage for electrical repairs and they wanted to do repairs between our outbound and return journey. I advised the time change didn't fit with our plans, which to be fair they were fine with
4. A few days before the event i receive a text asking for the booking details because they've lost their phone - surely they can access the information on a computer or different device
5. I was told I would be sent the drivers phone number the day before the event - I did not receive
6. I messaged them the morning of the event to check all ok and requested the drivers phone number - they confirmed all ok but did not provide drivers phone number
All the above made the organising harder work than it needed to be, and perhaps highlighted the disorganised nature and basic set up of the company, but I was still hopeful - the messages were friendly at least.
The bus arrived - no karaoke (despite description on 'add to event') but fine. I paid the remaining balance as promised when the bus arrived at our collection point for the outbound journey. However, this was a mistake! Because the return journey failed. And this is when the customer service went from basic to very poor/rude. If you do book I really hope you don't have to speak with the owner, absolute cowboy.
On dropping us at our outbound destination the driver said i'll meet you here at 10pm. I responded by explaining a bar round the corner had been agreed for pick up on the original booking but if pick up from the drop off location worked for him that was fine - they are very close. We agreed, as per his suggestion. My Google timeline shows that I was at the return pick up point at 10:02pm - for a £650 service I don't expect 2 mins to be considered too late. I thought I saw him drive by, we thought maybe he was lapping because of double yellows. At 10:08 I contacted the only number I had (annoyed I hadn't been supplied with drivers number despite asking for it) as clearly he hadn't just lapped round. Two of our party also went back to the bar in case he had gone there, they could not find him. When it got to 10:35 we gave up and got ubers.
I messaged and rang the only number I was given on multiple occasions, with no response until I was in the uber. The initial call back was from a member of the team who was apologetic and understanding but said she needed to speak with the driver - fair enough. Later I was called by the owner who was so rude it shocked me, and I admit I lost my cool with him. Immediately on the defensive, everything was my fault, he would not listen, just arrogant and dismissive. Kept telling me he had evidence of the driver being there but refused to share it. Clearly didn't have it. Instead offered to meet my husband in person to 'discuss' - again an indication of the type of person you are dealing with if you book with them. For context we were a family hen group aged 30 to 70, with 2 pregnant people - not all drunk and confused as the owner rudely assumed.
I do believe waiting 2 mins and/or making a phone call if collection is not happening as planned are basics any taxi would typically fulfil, let alone an Executive/premium transport service where we've paid £650 for 2 hours travel (an hour each way).
I do believe the driver was in the area, but left the pick up spot within 2 mins of the pick up time and ultimately pick up failed. Some very basic communication and customer service should have been able to resolve the issue. This was not provided.
No apology, no part refund.
Hopefully for future customers they can improve their communication both between driver and central team, and with customers.
