I enrolled in the Resync debt…
I enrolled in the Resync debt settlement program through Evertrust/David Yi in October 2025.
During the initial consultation, I was told the program would be either a 1-year or 2-year option. I even sent an email on October 6, 2025 asking about the cost for each option. However, the actual contract turned out to be 48 months (4 years). Evertrust's own website states '12 to 36 months,' yet my contract was completely different.
The fee structure was also not clearly explained. After settling at 60% of the original balance, adding Resync's 25% fee plus the monthly CDLG fee, the total amount I would have to pay actually exceeded my original debt balance.
When the Cavalry/Citibank settlement was completed, I was never notified in advance about the settlement amount, terms, or payment schedule. No approval was requested from me before proceeding.
I raised these issues multiple times via email, but David Yi never responded.
I have since terminated the program and filed complaints with the CFPB, BBB, and the California Attorney General's Office.
I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before signing up with this company.
