this guy is a conman, paid £890 for Kite wheels he didn't even have em, sent an e-mail asking if I needed sprockets discs fitted for next -day delivery knowing he didn't even have the wheels? 3 weeks later no wheels no refund luckily paid PayPal.He also got in touch asking for bank details to bypass PayPal but I ignored him.Do not buy from this James Hunt

Unfortunately the wheels were out of stock, our inventory was incorrect. The customer was contacted straight away to let him know that the wheels were out of stock after going to pick them in our warehouse. We explained that PayPal could take up to 10 days to refund and in order for him to have the money that day we asked for his bank details to pay directly from our bank to his so he could purchase elsewhere. We heard nothing back from the customer until PayPal contacted us days later to say that a claim had been made. We went through the process of the claim and and then waited for PayPal to refund. Unfortunately the refund went to 'Payment Pending' and issued an echeck to take the funds from our bank account instead of PayPal. This happens when there is not £890 in your PayPal account at that time. We have multiple payments coming in and out each day, hence the reason we contacted the customer as he needed the money straight away to buy the wheels elsewhere, BACS had cleared funds that we can control, PayPal doesn't.
Why is a payment pending in PayPal?
It's like writing a check, but you send it electronically. Your payment will show as pending until the echeck clears that bank. It usually takes up to 6 business days for an eCheck to clear and the money to appear in the recipient's PayPal account.
I'm sorry that his experience happened this this, the wheels are a fantastic product and a great brand, I'm sorry that there was a lack of trust felt by a BACS payment.
PayPal is a great tool but as a business you constantly need to make sure you have around £3000 at any time (wheels £900, Knee Braces £800 and so on) to cover any refunds where customers are not sure about the product they can return, it helps to build trust from buying from us. Unfortunately this time PayPal caught us out, so from the echeck clearing it ended up being 14 days from when the customer issued the refund with PayPal. We love PayPal as it's a great tool but does have some frustrating features, once the customer claims then we're no longer in control of getting that payment back to the customer, we have to follow the automated procedure.
We will update our terms that currently state that refunds can take up to 14 days, to refunds can take up to 14 days plus can take up to a further 7 days dependent on your payment provider.
If anyone is skeptical or worried regarding this review please reach out, happy to share redacted confirmation of this. I wanted to take the time to write a lengthy honest explanation as it's important to show both sides of the transaction. This is not the ending we all wanted the customer missed out on a great product and we missed out on a sale and an ongoing customer.

This was the third purchase from Alex and unfortunately the shirt was out of stock in his size so had to be reordered from our supplier who was waiting for stock. We got this wrong and lost a good customer. Sorry Alex.
