I went to Newport halshaw dealership…
I went to Newport halshaw dealership after travelling for 2hours and realised they had lied to me regarding the condition of 2 year old Kona, that was in pitiful state inside and had rust on the bonnet that was never declared, and holes in plastic around the trunk of the vehicle.
My strong recommendation is stay away from this dishonest dealership.

Bought a new van off this outfit, always had it serviced with them a couple of years ago they apparently was a recall on the steering rubber boots as they were splitting, i obviously didn’t know this and guess what yes they split and it lost it lost all the grease, which cost me 2 new drive shafts, expensive item, why didn’t they tell me when I brought it in for services, lack of care, i would never use these again.
Bought a car for my son
Bought a car for my son. Fiesta, Aircon not working, so they regassed it. Have found a problem with the condenser unit.
Just trying to get them to replace it but they never call back. Was told at one point service was waiting for someone to come out if a meeting to get the go ahead. Phoned the following day after another day of no contact to be told by sales that person who they were waiting for had been in benidorm and was still there. So I was obviously lied to.
Still not resolved!!!! Don't bank on any after care.

Andrew help sort out the purchase of my seat that I had reserved online. He was helpful and knowledgeable from the out set and put my mind at ease through out the whole process.

Bought a £16000 car off yous from the Vauxhall Plymouth branch which had a tow bar fitted. Yesterday after using the tow bar for the first time it came off while travelling down the road. Completely destroyed the trailer and could have very easily killed someone. Clearly it had been fitted incorrectly as the trailer was empty. Could have very very easily been so much worse. The car now sits at an angle on the back end after the trailer came off. At the very least I expect the car repaired (replace whatever broke on the suspension when it came off) and towbar replaced. If not we’ll be seeing you in court and it’ll be a lot lot worse. Spoke to someone at evans halshaw and he had the cheek to ask if it was fitted correctly, it was fitted by your garage! Now out of pocket for a 3 grand trailer and extensive damage to the car

I was quoted a “fixed price” for oil leak repair based on 11.30 hours of work as the engine had to come out.
They returned the van in 8hrs. During those 8 hours, I was called and told they needed to charge me for two additional hours because they found some loose screws. That surely reduces the actual time they claimed they needed to at least 6 hours, but happy to bill me for the full 11 hours. IN MY OPINION, they didn't remove the engine, and I have it on good authority, this fix can be done without it coming out
They failed to complete the “Diagnostic” inspection as advertised on their website, they instead focussed on my tyres/antifreeze content/oil/break fluids waving past the actual reported issue. Steer well clear of them, especially the “service” department!
Their response is simply “well you agreed to the price” and they claim they did it quickly to get the van back to me, that’s definitely not how I remember it, they did plan to keep my van longer because they didn’t have a re-threading it tool which later magically appeared!
The NCS concluded it was a “fixed price contract” and yet, they called me to increase the price once they discovered some loose bolts that needed tightening.
“Fixed price” until they want to charge you more for finding things they didn’t see on the so called “diagnostic check”!
Outstanding Service
Had a problem with a previous Ford Dealership in Glasgow. Decided to call Evenshalshaws Glasgow Ford Dealership. Spoke with a polite pleasant sales person called Charles who I explained to what I was after and the deal I was looking for, within a few phone calls that day deal was done for two Ford Puma St’s one in white and one in green. Orders placed and it was easy. So much so I called Charles again the next day to see if he was able to do a deal for my Daughter which he managed to do, by matching the deal my daughter was getting from another dealership. But she got to pick from a few different Ecosports of which one she wanted. Kept up to date with orders for the ST’s. Payments were cheaper in the new cars and got money back on one of them also, along with payment of £50 for recommending my daughter. Both of these payments paid into my bank account in less than a week. Would fully recommend Charles and if Charles isn’t in you have Liam there also who is also polite and pleasant to deal with both are a amazing credit to the company and will be returning in the future when buying my new cars.

I have been a customer since 1988 and seen many changes and bought several cars....and experienced good and poor service. However the current level of competence and "can do " attitude is brilliant.

1 star is very generous had this car 12 months PAID NEARLY £11000 for it and nothing but problems they had the car for nearly 3 months in total when I bought the car needed body work new seat belt plastic trims, door handle inside, new clutch even tho they said it didn't need a clutch and then had to be recovered as clutch went then oil leek on main engine oil seal they had the car for 3 weeks to do this in the mean time broke a seat trim and still waiting 4 months down the line to be replaced also when doing the oil leak they forgot to put some nits and bolts back and had to take it to my local vauxhall dealer to sort out and plymouth evens halshaw was settling the bill with them which they are still waiting for the bill to be paid hence why they won't do the broken seat trim until it is all paid and sorted I have been patient now for far to long customer services haven't been much help daying they will sort it and arranging to call me and then don't so I have requested a manager call me on 3 occasions and still waiting weeks later DO NOT BUY FROM THEM !!NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NICE AND PLLITE AND QUICK TO SELL YOU A CAR THEN NOTHING AFTER SALES

I'm back Sadly my car had no aircon so had to book it in... if you have a dash cam and have had your car in the MK branch I would recommend reviewing your footage, very odd stuff happens to your car when in kingston Milton Keynes!

I like to think I give credit were it's due..but when you are blatantly trying to rip me off..I noticed a Mercedes in one of there branches down south. Looking for part exchange I sent full details of my car full service 2 keys excellent condition. I recieved a email valuation of 4700 and was told to go to the Wigan branch..on arriving the guy looked it over checking lights windows reversing etc. He then claimed because there were some scuffs on the alloy wheels he could only offer 3000.??.not sure if Evans balshaw re furb in gold plate..when I showed him the email offer he said he would have a word with his manager (the old classic)..when he came back the offer was only 3300..today I have sold my car to we buy any car for 4500.?.I can only think these salesmen are on a commission for ripping the customers off..so now I will look for a car elsewhere..

Don't use Cardiff branch recently bought a 16 plate ds3.
When I got home looked in glovebox for owners manual and service book not there.contacted salesman and he said you can get one on eBay.
Took a mechanic with me to look he said brake's a bit low to which salesman said there OK there in specification.had mot 6 weeks later and given an advisory saying just passed but should be changed asap.
Also now got lights on dashboard had them read found out of adblue fluid,found out this should have been done when car serviced have had to top up found totally dry.
Still waiting for them to offer to repair brake's and send booklets .
Have been offered to bring car in they will read diagnostics sort out manual/service book and LOOK at brake's,bloody look the cars just had an mot,so refused unless they collect car or give me a dealer near home to get things sorted and had silence since.
Would advise you to other dealer

I find it an insult for Evans Halshaw to offer to buy the car back £600 less than I paid for the car from Evans or £300 to go away

Most of all Evans Halshaw must respect peoples “life”, as I am not joking when I state that you have put my son & my life in danger
I am seeking advice now to whether we are looking at a fraud (as there are some very big discrepancies between your paperwork on the so-called service you have supposed of done plus the MOT) or should it be trading standards, then to what action I should take
I highly recommend anybody buying a car from Harrogate Hyundai/Seat & Ford Preston to do their due diligence on their paperwork as well as the car. Plus take what they say with a pinch of salt
