Conned out of £1,700

Conned out of £1,700 - installation never happened.

SCAM company AVOID, AVOID AVOID!

Brite Technical Services Limited aka EvChargepoints were recommended to us. Initial contact with was good. A quick site survey followed and they seemed to be knowledgeable and efficient. We entered into a contract to supply and fit an EV charge point in June last year and stupidly paid them upfront £1,200 by bank transfer. The installation has never been completed despite emailing and calling multiple times. No one returns emails or calls. There are at least 9 legal small cases raised against this company. I shall be raising a case also. Disqualified directors should be barred from playing any part in any business. I wish I had done some research on the background of this company and the persons running it. Suggest anyone that has been defrauded by this company raise a case at actionfraud.police.uk

Non payment

We worked as a supplier to Brite Technologies (aka EV Charge Points). They paid our first two invoices which were both less than £200, then refused to pay the next three totalling a lot more. Even promised to pay, but didn’t. They even asked us to do another job for a much larger amount, just to keep us thinking they were good for it.
Now not responding or acknowledging us.
Having to go legal, but looking at the number and value of CCJ’s already against them, doubt we’ll ever get the money they owe us, so unsure about even risking the cost of going legal.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Dreadful company who don’t pay you to…

Dreadful company who don’t pay you to do work for them. We were contracted by them to wire a charger. Customer paid them but they haven’t paid us. On phoning they just say they will call you and never do.

Charlatans

I was brokered with Brite Technical T/A EVChargePoints.com by Lookers Motor Group, I have paid my money and Lookers paid in advance, I have not received an installation or even had a communication since November 22, I call daily and I have been blocked by Pauline & Suzanne on LinkedIn, Paul McComish is just ignoring me, it is my assertion that they think I will go away, however I will simply wind the business up via a winding up order, silly over £1000 really.

My last review was deleted for being “fabricated” however I am collecting all the communications with their poor reception team.

I’m not going away, next step is involve Lookers and the broker, invoke mediation, send a statutory demand, then when that inevitably fails, the business will be made insolvent.

BTS have lost several tribunals in the courts this is easily searchable, Paul is banned from being a director.

The published facts don’t lie.

Dont trust Brite Technical t/as evchargepoints.com

We are a contractor EV installation business and we havent been paid by Brite Technical Serivces Ltd. We have had to use the court system, but still havent secured out monies. We are now aware of 11 CCJ's totalling just shy of £45k. These are contractors not paid for EV installs. Brtite are struggling to get EV charging points installed, as contractors wont work with them.

They don't turn up for installations…

They don't turn up for installations because they use electrical contractors to carry out the installations but they don't pay the contractors after the work is complete. Hence the contractors will not carry out further work and the customer is left waiting. Brite Technical Services Ltd trading as evchargepoints.com have numerous county court judgments against them which they have made no attempt to settle according to the public register. This is public information should anyone wish to check this out independently. Avoid this company at all costs or you could well be left disappointed and out of pocket.

1 star only because no stars is…

1 star only because no stars is impossible on here. Been waiting months for my EV charger installation. Communication has dried up, after they offered an installation date that came and went with nobody showing up. Now employed a call handling company to intercept phone calls. Good luck getting paid. Also heard from one of their sub-contracted installers who’s chasing them for payment. A bunch of charlatans.

Do not trust this company

I paid nearly £1200 for an EV charger installation. At first, communication was good. After waiting for Scottish Power to upgrade my fuse, we had an installation appointment booked for 27 September 2022 (I have a confirmation e-mail). On that date, no engineer arrived. I called the company, and was told that the person who schedules the installations was sick, so no engineer would be coming (which makes zero sense - if an engineer appointment was booked, then the engineer would know it). So they rescheduled for 7 October. On that date, I received a call from my "engineer," Paul McCormish. Apparently the warehouse had flooded and nobody would be able to come to me that day.

So I started researching this company in depth, and found multiple reviews and reports that this company is effectively a scam. I would encourage everyone to check out the other Trustpilot reviews for evchargepoints.com and evchargepoints.co.uk. I called and demanded a refund, and was told 3 - 5 business days. I received no refund. I have written communication and phone records to back up every statement I have made here, and will be initiating small claims.

Seemed good to start with but 4 months later no installation - Avoid!

Multiple promised installation dates to just be cancelled on the morning of the install, installer in an accident, parts not in stock....

Now requested a refund as ordered elsewhere, I just hope they refund as promised.

UPDATE

They never refunded the money and all my emails started to no longer be delivered so now having to go via a small claims court to try and get my money back

Avoid like the plague!

The manager of this company Paul McComish is a serial scammer. He has setup and shut down multiple businesses to scam people out of their hard earned money, this is his latest effort. Previously he owned McComish Ltd, a heating firm. Google it.
I am a self employed electrician and this company employed me as a sub contractor to fit an Ev charger.
Very charming on the phone and a lot of promises made but some 60 days after installation I am still out of pocket. I will be taking them to small claims court. This particular customer I worked for had been waiting 18 months for their install after payment himself. Speaking to other electricians they have a history of not paying sub contractors, this is how they make their money. Shambolic surveys carried out over the phone missing fundimental information required for an install. Hopefully this will prevent anyone else getting scammed!
