Wrongly advertised product.
Recently purchased an expansion vessel for my boiler. The boiler is no longer made and parts are hard to find. The advert said it was exactly the right part number and therefore, compatible. I arranged for a plumber who we have always used to come and fit it and he couldnt fit it. This was in fact a 10 litre instead of an 8 litre and does not fit due to the size of it. I paid the £12 delivery and then a similar amount to send it back with an explanation that it does not fit my particular boiler and should not be advertised as such. I asked for a refund for the postage as it was wrongly advertised but got nowhere.

Questionable spec of part
Euro specified a replacement pump for an ideal boiler, part number 177925. They said it would work out of the box - so wouldn't need setting up.
After I fitted the pump, it was obvious that there were some setting options. I called Euro for help, but they declined and said I needed to call the manufacturer.
Ideal stated that because the new pump has buttons and lights for setting, that it is the WRONG PART. Theirs does not have any buttons, lights or setting options.

Replacement boiler fan
On phoning Euro boiler parts for advice on replacing my boiler fan on an old Worcester boiler, I spoke with Sally. She asked me relevant questions and requested I send some photos of my old fan. This, I did and awaited her call for two or three minutes when she got back to me. After running the photos past the engineers on the team, she confirmed that they could supply a compatible fan for my boiler. I am very impressed with the Euro Boiler team and their efficiency. I received the new fan, at a very competitive price, within three days and the boiler is running like a new one. Well done and thank you to the Euro Boiler Parts team. And thank you to Sally.

I wish I had read the reviews before making my purchase. They sent me a damaged part.
When I contacted them they wanted me to pay shipping to return the faulty part. They don’t seem to understand that under the Consumer Right Act 2015 the trader is responsible for return shipping when the item is faulty. They try and hide behind terms and conditions on their website.
I will be reporting them to the trading standards authority and issuing a chargeback on my credit card.
Update: In response to EuroBoilerParts reply. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is very clear that the retailer has to pay for return shipping.
See section 20 point 10.
"Where the consumer has the right to return goods because - for example - they are faulty or misdescribed, they are entitled to have the goods collected free of charge or to be reimbursed for the reasonable costs of returning them"

We regret that you were not willing to pay for the return postage and requested a return label from us. We would like to clarify that, in compliance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Guidelines from Trading Standards, we have made it clear that return postage is the responsibility of the customer. However, we are still happy to proceed with the replacement or refund as long as the part is returned to us within the specified time frame.

According to these guidelines, unless we have explicitly agreed to cover the return costs, the consumer is responsible for paying the return costs. However, this is contingent upon us providing you with the necessary information before the contract was established. If we failed to provide the correct information, we will be responsible for the return costs. Detailed information regarding the information requirements can be found in the guide 'Consumer contracts: distance sales'.
In situations where the consumer has the right to return goods due to reasons such as faults or misdescription, they are entitled to have the goods collected free of charge or to be reimbursed for the reasonable costs of returning them.
As we mentioned in our email dated 16/05/2023, both our Terms and Conditions and the email itself explicitly state that the cost of returning goods is to be covered by the client. If your refund is approved, it will be for the total price of the sold goods. In the case of a replacement, the postage for the returned item is to be covered by you, and we will send the replacement while covering the delivery fee for the replacement item.

The item supplied was faulty from the start (It took two electricians and two plumbers visits before this was identified as they ignored the brand new part, assuming another part of the system must be at fault). The seller says I can return, subject to a restocking and inspection charge. IT IS FAULTY. If they simply restock, the next buyer will have the same experience as me. No longer replying to emails. Like previous customers, seem OK if you are lucky and things go well. Anything wrong and you are on your own.

Total PCB failure
Contacted this company when my plumber diagnosed PCB failure. After speaking with them I was amazed at the level of service and advice that I received from them with supplying the correct part.
These guys really stepped out of the box when it came to 'service'. Rarely seen these days.

THERE PRODUCTS ARE A RISK TO LIFE BEWARE
PLEASE DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE. The item they sold me overheated coursing an electrical short which cut the power to my entire house thank god it didn't course a house fire. Their 12 warranty means nothing as they have no intention of any refunds. They con you into buying another promising to refund once the spare is returned. They then refuse to refund when it costs you again in post. These parts also don't look new. I had to keep on at to return my dangerous spare as I truly believe would have sold it again to another unsuspecting victim. Avoid them like Covid.

Absolutely pathetic and sad company, Any new parts returned are subject to 20% re-stocking / handling / testing charges, avoid and read their terms and condition before buying AVOID AT ALL COST
Any alleged faulty parts returned will be tested and if found not faulty, there will be a charge of £20 to return back. (Until the payment has been made we cannot release the goods), if the part is faulty we will replace or refund as preferred by the customer.
Returns: Any new parts returned are subject to 20% re-stocking / handling / testing charges (if applicable). If the part is used 12 months warranty is applied from date of purchase.
Prices on the website apply to online orders only. If a customer wants to place an order over the telephone, please note there will be a 10% charge on the net amount which will be added to the total.

They charge alot for delivery then expect you to pay again when faulty.
One if the ntc sensors I ordered was faulty going open circuit at 75deg. Rang them up was told I would have to return at my expense, Which if is anything like the £21 they charged me for delivery just isn't worth the bother for a £3 part.
