Agree with previous reviews

Agree with previous reviews - did not receive products that were ordered in January - was told there was a shortage and to bear with them, sorry etc.
ended up getting a refund from my credit card company thank goodness - real shame

Horrendous experience!

Horrendous experience!
Ordered a couple of items for Christmas presents but they have never arrived. Am pretty sure it is a scam. Have chased a few times and get excuses. Have requested refund now so let’s see what happens. The telephone number on the internet listed was ‘apparently’ not them - I didn’t believe it.
DO NOT BUY from them.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars, I would. Without doubt the single worst online experience I have had with an established fashion brand. Ordered items in August 2024, and here I am in April 2025 still awaiting delivery. No proactive contact from the company, just excuse after excuse after excuse when I reach out to them. I have finally requested a refund...we will see if/how they respond!

Don’t bother

Ordered two items 10 Jan, heard nothing - chased multiple times and got long winded excuse emails that read like something AI would write. Reading the other reviews on here convinced me I’d never see the items so I lodged a dispute with Barclays and got an immediate refund, which was nice. It’s a shame as I really like EC as a brand but will now only order through a third party supplier.

DO NOT USE

I ordered three jumpers in November for Christmas presents. Two arrived in January, but one is still missing. When I reached out to customer service, they informed me that it’s awaiting delivery. This is unacceptable. How long does it take? It’s straightforward: don’t sell items that you don’t have in stock.

Items a no show, communication terrible

Ordered two sale items in early January, no sign after weeks so chased, told they were awaiting stock and items would be delivered end of January / early Feb. Weeks on from the delayed date nothing and they have ignored emails chasing for an update. Either a scam, terrible service or company deciding not to bother with customer service. Love their clothes but this has undermined trust and faith

Order did not arrive

I made an order a month ago and paid for shipping. The order did not arrive. Excuses were made, and they stopped responding to me when I pushed for a full refund. I am so disappointed because they have so much good stuff - not worth the hassle. Avoid!

Pretty sure this company is not…

Pretty sure this company is not legitimate? I have been waiting for a t-shirt order for nearly 5 months now… it’s almost laughable. To receive any kind of update on my order I have had to reach out to them EVERY single time, otherwise I definitely wouldnt of heard anything. Responses usually take weeks/months and are full of empty promises. Never experienced anything like it, just abysmal. How are they still allowed to take online orders!!!?

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. No replies to emails. An order was made on 2/12/24 and still not received it a month later and no replies to emails. Luckily I hadn’t spent a lot as I don’t think I’ll be getting any money back from this company. Is it even in operation??

I have loved this brand for many years…

I have loved this brand for many years but something is not right here anymore. I pre ordered a couple of t-shirts in May and then had to cancel and demand a refund when they still hadn't arrived in October/ November 2024. I have since ordered some bits in the Black Friday sale but it's now nearly three weeks and still nothing. It's too long to wait for anything in this day and age. I've contacted customer service and they told me the same excuse as last time - that they're waiting for the order to arrive etc. after reading the reviews on here I've asked for an immediate refund. I don't think they are operating anymore but still selling online and not fulfilling orders. Such a shame for a brand I've loved for so long.

Be Prepared to Battle to Get Your Order

Firstly, the positive: the two t-shirts I bought were sound quality (although expensive). My issue with this company is that I had to harass and harangue them to actually get them to ship my order. It took 54 days for it to arrive (the shirts were in stock, not on pre-order).

If you order from them, be warned that they will give a litany of excuses as to why your order hasn't shipped (the two shirts were in different warehouses; they were waiting for a new staff member to start), they will lie to you about your order being shipped (they sent a fake shipping number and everything), they will take several days (sometimes a week) to respond to your emails, and in exasperation, you will resort to complaining about them on social media. The only way I was able to get them to finally send my order was to name and shame them on Instagram (I never do this, by the way. It was an absolute last resort).

They did send a free pair of (in my opinion, ugly) socks and refunded the money I paid for International Express Shipping, but by then, I was so infuriated by their woeful service, that I was left with a very sour taste in my mouth.

Atrocious service

Atrocious service - order t shirt in April for pre order for May arrived and of September - post summer - the amount of time I wasted chasing it multiple emails with very very sporadic response - looks like a one man band and is very dodgy - do not buy from here

Poor customer service

Recently order two t- shirts on pre order . Order placed on 1/09/24 . Nearly three months on and still not received order. Emailed three times - reply’s stating delay with order and I would be kept updated - have never been updated ! Appalling customer service - please don’t offer me a free gift with my order - just send me my order or offer a refund .

My worst online retail experience ever…

My worst online retail experience ever ! I ordered two items on preorder in April, they were meant to come in May, I still havent had them and it is now November .Every inquiry has been met either with no response or a halfhearted promise that they are soon going to get the items . I almost cannot believe that I have been waiting this long. I also have to say that its a shame that this has happened as their products have always been high quality and I have been a loyal customer since they started.

Horrendous experience

I don’t know where to start, except to say that all of the reviews I read here mirror my own experience. I never write negative reviews, but here we are. I pre-ordered a t-shirt in July, and have been following up ever since trying to find out when it will be sent. If I ever hear from Etre Cecile, it’s weeks later with a vague apology of being a small company and to bear with them. I have emailed, DM’d on Instagram, they generally ignore any query about the order. Their customer service is so appalling, I have no words. Yesterday I received an email saying the t-shirt should be sent at the start of December. Do I believe I will ever see this t-shirt? No.

Order and refund never received

I ordered three items in March on pre-order. I had an email in June to say they'd been shipped but nothing arrived. When I chased, they told me they hadn't actually been shipped. I finally cancelled the order at the end of July as it still hadn't arrived and asked them to refund me. I was told in August that they had processed the refund but I never received it, and when I chased the refund, they stopped responding to my emails and ignored my messages on Instagram, despite regularly posting. I finally requested a chargeback from PayPal, who refunded my money as they didn't even respond to them. Their customer service is abysmal - even when they do actually respond to you it takes weeks and a couple of chaser emails. I feel like I've been scammed as they clearly had no intention of refunding me. When I cancelled the order they told me they were trying to manage as a small business and appreciated the support of their customers, but if that's true, why would they treat their customers like this?

Orders never received but money taken!

Ordered some preorder T-shirts in April. Still waiting In October. Vague customer service emails. Tell you things are coming but nothing ever comes. I even received an email saying something was shipped! But that wasn’t true either. They’re selling the T-shirts on their website that I preordered. So no idea why they can’t fulfil. I think it’s a scam site tbh.

Awful customer service, poor management of stock

Awful customer service. Preorders delayed by months without warning, and no proactive communication from their customer service team informing you this, even though they’ve taken your money. I ordered a T-shirt that was expected in May, still no sight of it in September and customer service consistently provide vague responses about items being stuck in customs. Avoid avoid.
