Reinstating my confidence on the slopes

I had private lessons with victor in morzine which helped me immensely. He was very understanding of what I wanted to achieve - mainly getting back my confidence after a skiing injury as well as improving my technique. He planned our routes well and made me feel comfortable and less nervous, giving me a lot of confidence by the end of my lessons. Thank you

Terrible Customer Service & Dishonest…

Terrible Customer Service & Dishonest Practices. Avoid ESF Alpe d’Huez
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with ESF Alpe d’Huez, and I strongly advise others to avoid booking with them. I booked a ski excursion directly through ESF, which included both the lesson and equipment rental. The full payment was made to ESF, as clearly shown in my receipt.
However, when I requested a refund for the unused rental, ESF refused to take responsibility and falsely claimed that the money had been paid to a third-party company, Altitude Sports. Despite multiple emails and clear proof of payment to ESF, they kept redirecting me elsewhere, refusing to issue the refund.
To make matters worse, when I left an honest review about my experience, they responded by insulting me and calling me a liar instead of addressing the issue. Their response was completely unprofessional, and it’s clear they are trying to avoid refunding customers by shifting the blame.
On top of that, they seem to have a system designed to make it difficult to even attend the lessons, creating unnecessary confusion and obstacles so that customers miss their classes and ESF keeps the money without providing any service. It’s an easy way for them to take your money without delivering what was promised.
This kind of dishonest and misleading behavior is unacceptable, and I would strongly warn others against trusting ESF with their money. If they make a mistake, they will not admit it, and they will try to make you feel like the problem is your fault.
If you value honest service and good customer support, stay away from ESF Alpe d’Huez.

Disappointing and Unprofessional…

Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience

I had high expectations when booking snowboarding lessons with ESF Alpe d’Huez, as they appeared to be a professional school. However, my experience quickly revealed their policies to be more focused on profit than customer care.

My daughter and I booked two snowboarding lessons for two consecutive days, but unfortunately, we both fell ill before the lessons with a fever nearing 40°C. With more than 24 hours’ notice, we attempted to cancel our lessons, but the office insisted we either show up in person or reschedule, which wasn’t an option given our tight departure schedule. When we explained this, they suggested we transfer the lessons to someone else. If that didn’t work, they offered to change our lessons to skiing, which was completely unhelpful.

I understand policies exist, but asking sick customers to attend lessons is reckless and lacks any compassion. They refused to refund or even offer a reasonable solution, and their response felt more like a money grab than a genuine desire to provide quality service. This is not the level of professionalism I expected from a ski school of their stature.

If you’re considering booking with them, I highly recommend you be cautious—especially if you’re thinking of paying upfront. Their policies are not customer-friendly, and it seems their main focus is on keeping your money rather than providing quality or safe experiences.

Beware - Shocking

Beware - ESF Cancelled our Snowboarding Class the Night Before It Was Due to Start.
Fair enough their T&Cs say they won't run the class with less than 4 people, but cancelling the night before left us with no options.
ESF didn't seem to care and would only offer private lessons which were much more expensive.
They weren't offering any concessions even though we'd booked months in advance and as a group had spent over £2000 on lessons with them that week.
Shocking :-(
