Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 73 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the cancellation process, finding it extremely difficult and often resulting in continued charges even after attempts to terminate their memberships or personal training contracts. People frequently reported being charged for services they had canceled or for additional fees that were not clearly disclosed during sign-up, leading to frustration and unexpected financial burdens. Reviewers also highlighted issues with payment, including unauthorized recurring charges and difficulties in resolving billing discrepancies, sometimes necessitating credit card cancellations. Though some people mentioned positive experiences with specific staff members, praising their professionalism and helpfulness, the overall sentiment regarding staff and management was negative, with many reporting disrespectful behavior, lack of accountability, and poor communication. The personal training services and pricing were also a point of contention, with some feeling the training was ineffective or overpriced, and others experiencing unexpected charges or commitments not initially disclosed.

had a very disappointing experience…

had a very disappointing experience with this gym.

When I signed up, I was told by a staff member that I needed the Will Power membership to access a specific location. Later, I found out that this was not accurate. When I contacted the gym to downgrade to the $10/month plan, I was told that downgrading was not an option. Instead, I was instructed to cancel my membership entirely, re-sign at another location, and pay the maintenance fee again.

I was willing to keep paying the higher rate just to simplify things, but that option was still denied.

I was also charged a $15 service fee and could not get a clear explanation for what it was for. I emailed the staff member who helped me sign up requesting a receipt and clarification and did not receive a response. I also called the gym and never received a callback.

In addition, I later learned there are fees associated with changing your payment method, which was unexpected. I strongly recommend reading the contract carefully.

Overall, customer service was very poor. Simple requests were not handled clearly or efficiently, and follow-up was lacking. Because of this experience, I decided to cancel and move on.

EŌS Fitness – Lake Elsinore, CA

My wife and I were early sign-ups before this location even opened. We were told repeatedly—by multiple employees—that by joining before the grand opening, our membership price would be locked in for life. “Grandfathered,” they called it. That promise is literally the ONLY reason we joined early and waited months for the gym to finally open.

When the gym first opened, we were excited. New equipment, clean facility—nice. But that didn’t last long. Here’s the reality:

Parking & Crowds

Finding a parking space is a daily battle. Once you finally get inside, you still end up waiting around for machines. The place is constantly overcrowded.

Perks That Don’t Work

We specifically paid extra for amenities like the massage chairs and hydro beds:

Massage chairs? Uncomfortable and almost always a long wait.

Sauna? Broken more than half the time I’ve been there. Literally unusable for MONTHS.

The Final Straw: A 22% Price Increase

Out of nowhere, I get a notice in December saying my monthly fee is going up 22%. So much for being “grandfathered.”

I went in to ask about it, and the front desk employee straight-up laughed in my face. He even said that the general manager had been telling people they’d be grandfathered in—but “it’s not true.” He also joked that “ if the gym had opened just 13 days later, then we would’ve been grandfathered.” Apparently he thought this was hilarious. I did not.

Unbelievably Disrespectful Management

I asked to speak to the manager. The employee walked me to his office—glass door, full view of me standing there. He looked right at me but continued chatting with an employee for 15 minutes, then another 5 minutes with someone else, leaving me standing there like an idiot.

Finally, I knocked. When he came out, the first thing I said was how long I’d been waiting. He didn’t care.

This manager—Gabriel—never introduced himself, never apologized, and offered zero accountability. When I explained how staff laughed at me and how we were promised grandfathered pricing, his response was basically:

“I wasn’t here then so I can’t authorize anything.”
No apology. No empathy. Nothing.

When I said I was considering canceling because of the way we were treated, he literally said:
“OK, here’s how you cancel your membership.”

That’s the level of “customer service” at this gym.

Final Verdict

This is, without exaggeration, the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Between the broken amenities, the overcrowding, the parking nightmare, the broken promises, the sudden 22% increase, the employees laughing at members, and a manager who clearly does not care at all—this gym is a complete disgrace.

We are absolutely canceling both of our memberships.
Save yourself the frustration and join ANY other gym.

Too crowded

Gym is great, too great. It has been overly busy the majority of the times I've gone. Unable to do a timely work. Would have given 5 stars but can't even cancel without a drawn out process.

The personal training contract was next to impossible. …

The personal training contract was nearly impossible to terminate, and EoS then used their access to my debit card (without any notice whatsoever) to auto collect $450, $50 each debit in 2 minutes.

The gym itself was crowded each time I visited, making most machines difficult get time on. I have little time to spare to visit a gym, and this made this gym impractical.
The amenities are nice and generally well kept, and the Frontline staff were friendly and helpful.

$150.00 twice a month for coaching, not counting the monthly fee for the plan

I originally signed up for EOS through my work and received a very good discount, I retired in October and I went into EOS to let them know that I no longer qualify for the membership that I have due to the fact that I no longer work for the company I was getting a membership through.
They set me up with a girl named Jaqulyn (not sure how to spell her name) She offered me a plan the same plan that I was on but without the discount and I was told that is was only $20.00 more.
She offered me a coach (personal trainer) for 4 months and "only $150.00". I told her "no. I'm on a fixed income and I just want the basic plan."
she ignored me and I could tell she was zoning out but then she would come back and tell me more about the program as if I said nothing.
I told her no again and we went back and forth like that for a while. Finally she said ok and had me sign paperwork. She then said "ok, that's $150.00." I asked for what. She said that it was the amount I owe for coaching. I asked her if that $150.00 covered November and she said yes.
I then felt like I minus well consider it's only $150.00. I paid. This was on Oct 30th.
I paid with my Credit card. My mistake. On November 13th I noticed that EOS took another $150.00 which put me over my spending limit and my credit score went down by 20 points. I was mad and went into ask them what was going on, that's when Channing explained to me that it's $150.00 twice a month, so $300.00 just for coaching that doesn't count the monthly charge for the plan. He also told me that I could get 1 free personal training, which the girl didn't tell me. He then offered to get me as much credit back as he could.
I met him on another day for the 1 free training but afterwards we went back to his desk and that's when he went into the same high sales pitch that the girl gave me. Making me feel like I have to sign up for coaching, but he offered me a cheaper option $19.00 for first 2 weeks as a Black Friday special and then $80.00 after that for 4 months. That's not counting the $96.50 that they charged me for the monthly plan.
I will be giving me my 30-day noticed (which none of the employee's told me about) I read that information in the FAQ on EOS's website. I'll then go back to Vasa because I never had issues with them. I've seen more negative reviews about EOS fitness than any other GYM's out there.

I’ve been a member at EōS Fitness

I’ve been a member at EōS Fitness – Preston for two months, and I’m extremely disappointed with the way I was treated.

Today, a staff member removed me from the gym, claiming that I couldn’t use my phone holder during my workout. When I joined, I specifically asked if using my phone and holder was allowed, and I was clearly told yes.

I have video evidence showing that I’ve used the same setup many times before without any problem. The way I was treated today was disrespectful, humiliating, and completely unprofessional.

I’ve requested a full refund and will be taking legal action due to this unfair and discriminatory treatment.
I do not recommend this gym — it’s not a safe or respectful environment for customers.

I’m extremely disappointed with EOS…

I’m extremely disappointed with EOS Fitness. My one-year membership was set to renew on October 25, and I called today (October 22) to cancel it in advance. However, I was told I still have to pay an $82 renewal fee because I didn’t cancel “30 days before.” This policy was never clearly explained when I signed up, and no one ever mentioned it throughout the year.

It’s completely unfair to charge someone for a renewal they clearly don’t want, especially when they call ahead of time to cancel. I won’t even be using the gym, and now I’m being charged for nothing.

This experience has been very upsetting and disappointing. I would not recommend EOS Fitness to anyone — their lack of transparency and poor customer service make it impossible to trust this company.

Predatory Practices

They talked me into getting a personal trainer, then my grandma died and obviously i didn't have much motivation to go in there while dealing with family stuff. Then I went in to cancel and dude who claimed to be a manager over there said he couldn't cancel it only freeze, implying the trainer, but didn't specify those were different things. So he froze it, then I got billed again for eos not the trainer, so I went in there and canceled my account they told me they were going to charge me again so I said okay I'm just trying to be done with this. They said I had 30 more days to use the facility. Then they changed me again after the 30 days. But I was like okay at least I'm done now. Nope, got a text to call back the number to pay for the personal trainer. You guys really have kept me down and kept kicking me while I'm down. Literally I would be so much better off right now if I never decided I needed to work out and walked in there and used your facility 3x and met the trainer once. This predatory practice should be illegal. I am so irritated by this

Unfair billing practice

The employees show no leniency at all. We needed to cancel his membership 30 days before the end of the annual subscription. However, since we no longer live in that area, it slipped our minds to make the call and cancel. We were less than 30 days late calling, and as a result, they charged another full annual fee, despite the fact that we had been on a monthly payment plan up until that point. So they basically make you paid for another full year if you miss that deadline. Ridiculous and very poor business in my opinion. I can’t recommend this company for this reason.

I had two memberships at eos I canceled…

I had two memberships at eos I canceled one because my nephew didn't want to go anymore after a week. Couldn't cancel at the main gym I go to because they run a very shady business with customer service being non existent at their front desk and even with management! So I called and was successful canceling one membership and was told I wouldn't be charged for the up coming yearly gym fees but of course a month later I seen two charges for 82.25 and 75.75. So once again I call the gym get a young rude kid who tells me they cant do anything and gives me a disconnect number to eos headquarters. So then I had to go back online to get headquarters number to get my money back. Only to find out this number was fraudulent and got me for $289 dollars and didn't return anything to me! So I disputed it and got my money back plus the canceled gym memberships yearly fee of 75.75. Then sometime later they recharged me for 90.75. So I call twice and left a message and still haven't heard a thing back from them! They are a very shady company and they have it set up very difficult to get anything situated and have you in limbo trying to get answers involving money and or memberships! I'm still not sure if number is connected to them after they tried to clean my bank account out but they have made NO EFFORT TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT!!! INSTEAD THEY PULL OUT MORE THAN THE 75.75 and take 90.75!!! Feel violated and helpless because of the way they run their business unsatisfied customer BEWARE!!!

Stay Away – Worst Gym Ever

I have been a loyal member of this gym for 3 years, and unfortunately, this has turned into the worst customer experience I’ve ever had.

The gym advertises that if you bring in 3 new members who stay for at least 3 months, you receive a complimentary year. I fulfilled my end of the deal, and my free year should have started in January 2025. Yet, here we are in September, and I still haven’t received it.

For months, I’ve been following up, wasting countless hours retelling the same story over and over because staff turnover is constant and nobody takes responsibility. Instead of handling the situation, I’ve been bounced around and ignored.

The last straw was when I spoke with Michael Laguna, who claims to be a manager. Instead of stepping in with accountability, he tried to hand me the contact info of the person who has been denying me this complimentary year all along — effectively dumping the problem back on me. After months of runaround, he expected me to start over yet again. On top of that, he was disrespectful and dismissive. Completely unacceptable.

I immediately emailed him to cancel both my membership and my son’s, and he hasn’t responded. I also emailed the general manager, Brandon Tsutsui, explaining the situation and requesting cancellation, and he too hasn’t replied.

And if that wasn’t enough, the equipment is old and poorly maintained, and the gym is constantly overcrowded. It’s almost impossible to get a workout in without waiting for machines and weights. For the amount of money they charge, this is beyond frustrating.

This gym is a complete disaster. Staff changes constantly, no one is accountable, and management clearly doesn’t care about their members. It feels like a cheap gym — and unfortunately, they behave like one too.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Curtis is an jerk !!! I guess the Days of the customer is always right are long gone ! Or potential customer in my case .

Walked into the gym to basically take a look around ( but i also had to use the restroom). A female representative at the front counter ( didn't catch her name )!. Asked if i could use the restroom and take a look around ....she said i had to fill out some digital
info form and sign a waiver. ( Getting ready the pee my pants at this time ) BUT OK SURE . When i was done with the forms i walked over to El Pollo Loco to use there restroom ( they didn't ask me for anything ). Walked back to EOS sat down and waited. Along cane Curtis introduced himself and we shook hands. Asked if i could look around to check out the facility. He instead wanted me to sit down at a desk to no doubt give me a sales pitch . I proceeded to ask again if i could check out the gym ( look around )...at that piont he said i was being disrespectful!!!
Wait what ....are you kidding me !!
So i ask again if i could check out the gym ....Now at this point he could have or in my opinion should offered to give me tour of the gym instead he proceeded to say i eas being DISRESPECTFUL AGAIN !!! Unbelievable!! At this piont i was no longer interested in a tour anymore and potentially signing up as a member after being insulted for asking to check out the gym .
Horrible customer service experience. This guy is on some kind of ego trip ....definitely needs alot of customer service training.
Then to make matters worst as i leaving he was condescending and antagonistic as i was walked out the door ...said have a nice day ...THE KIND I WAS MEANT TO HAVE !? Basically insinuating have a bad day because he thought i was disrespectful. What a jerk !!

I have been a member of EOS Fitness…

I have been a member of EOS Fitness Sugar Land since the very beginning and used to really enjoy the gym. I recommended it to many people in the past. Unfortunately, the service and reliability have gone downhill since the summer of 2025.

In June, I personally went to the gym to place both my membership and my husband’s membership on hold while we were away. The General Manager, ISRAEL MELENDEZ told me the accounts would be frozen for up to three months, or until I returned to reactivate them. Despite this, I noticed in late August that we were still being charged — inconsistently, one month on one account, the next month on another.

I raised this issue multiple times with the GM, but little to nothing was done. I was told emails would be sent, but there has been no resolution. I even escalated the matter by contacting EOS executives, including BILL KIPP, DENNIS BAIROS, and CORIN BRYANT, but I have not received a single response in over three weeks.

The customer service is very poor. What started as a small mistake on EOS’s side could have been resolved quickly and easily. A simple deposit or even a proactive phone call from EOS could have corrected the problem long ago. Instead, their lack of action has turned it into a much bigger issue for me than it ever should have been.

This is extremely unprofessional, unreliable, and disappointing. EOS Fitness has failed to resolve a simple billing issue and has ignored loyal members. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this gym to anyone.

Classes get canceled

Classes get canceled, so ghetto gym is almost always packed with too many people
. Extremely crowded in Frisco location. Frisco Athletic Center is much more better, beautiful and no membership fee like EOS. EOS charges membership fee $60.00 plus. Even if you get the highest level of membership not worth it
. I would give zero.

Their aggressive stupidity is…

Their aggressive stupidity is concerning. Had a cc hacked and had to update. You would think I was holding nuclear codes. First, I couldn’t understand anyone. Then after repeating the new cc number no less than 10 times did they finally understand. Only this was the second time I had to go through this because when I updated my card, I said it is for my husband as well. Of course they said. Wow, again truly stupid people, because no that didn’t happen and now my husband is getting blown up for his card that couldn’t be processed. Staggering levels of frustration to deal with something so easy. Find a different place, the gym is barely mediocre and the customer service is deplorable.

Worse than a Used car Lot! My cell phone bar code cannot be used because the gym repeatedly removes my password after every use/gym visit. Last time I was there I left in pure hate at the low life trash I was subjected to.
