This is my second review regarding my issue with a purchase of an Engwe L20 boost bike.
I eventually found a repairer who installed the part supplied by Engwe.
It was noted that the initial assembly of the bike at manufacture did not appear to be of good quality. Repairer said bike would in all probability break down again.
Sure enough it has happened again and as last time no power at all.
Engwe are once more coming up with things that it might or might not be. I am requesting a full refund and uplift of bike but this I'm told will not happen as I've had it three months and if there was a fault it would have happened sooner. Wow that's great after only 39 miles. I'm being quoted terms and conditions but again just sort out the product it's doesn't work. In the UK if the bike goes wrong your on your own no back up structure. Their happy to take the money but give nothing back.

I recently helped my 90 year old Father purchase a Engwe folding bike to replace two other e-bikes that he had issues with getting his leg over the center bar. The bike arrived quickly with no issues. He is very happy with the bike power and performance. And he can step his leg right through with no issues. He rides 20 miles a day, 4 times a week. He is very happy!

I ordered a bike three weeks ago, and after some delay, they finally sent it. Once the bike was sent to my home, they made a mistake and sent it back to the seller. After delays and mistakes, they told me that I need to wait another week as the bike is out of stock. What did they do with my bike? I am very disappointed with their service.

I recently purchased an Engwe L20 2.0 folding e-bike and am extremely pleased. I had some questions after receiving the bike and the customer service was excellent. I received prompt, thorough and helpful responses. This company takes customer satisfaction seriously. The bike itself has plenty of pep and after upgrading the brakes it is a fun bike to ride!

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with the Engwe t14. Even the smallest bump or crack in the road makes it feel like the whole thing is about to fall apart, to the point where the pedal sensor actually broke just from going over speed bumps. The tires puncture extremely easily, and the battery life is far below expectations. On top of that, the bike is extremely heavy, making it impractical for daily use. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable everyday bike.

I have been using my Engwe EP-2 Pro, and I am very happy with the bike. The performance, design, and riding comfort are excellent. As a university student, I use it for daily commuting, and it has made my travel much easier and faster.
The build quality is solid, the motor is powerful, and the bike feels very stable and comfortable on the road.
I also appreciate the Engwe support team — they are helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist whenever needed.

I originally purchased an Engwe ep-2 pro from Walmart.com through a third party seller. I honestly love the bike, and had ridden a friend before which is why I purchased my own. It’s been so fun zipping around town on it. After about 7 months the throttle suddenly stopped working, and error 30 popped up on the display. I messaged Engwes customer support and spoke with Raina. They were nothing but helpful with figuring out which controller I needed. It felt a little weird having to PayPal them money rather than purchase something on a site, but it was all very easy and my controller arrived within a week. I installed it and my ep-2 pro now rides like brand new again. Thank you Raina, you were nothing but a joy to speak with everytime we emailed each other. I appreciate your help with placing my order. The controller was very fairly priced as well.

Ive accidentially ordere a bike which will be available in December.
I´ve contacted support, they offered a Solution and I´ve received my bike earlier.
Date of delivery was et to 24. November, but it has arrived on 21st.

I purchased four E26 bikes for my small Guest House. It took a few weeks for all four to arrive because they came from different warehouses. They are well packed. It will take you a while to cut it all off. The bikes are simple to assemble. The only item I needed to address was the indexing of the gears. I've not ridden one of these before and once I was used to the gears and the pedal assist it was great. The fat tires go over rough terrain with ease and the suspension seat is super comfortable. Email support is good. You get a reply usually in 24 hours.

I just did my first ride with my new ENGWE L20 and it’s honestly been great - so much fun.
But this review isn’t about the bike itself, it’s about the genuinely amazing service I received from ENGWE support - to be precise, from the legend Simy - all via email.
First things first: Simy replied incredibly quickly! And to keep this review short and simple - there was a small mistake/misunderstanding in my order on ENGWE’s side. But the way they handled it was absolutely fantastic. They immediately took responsibility and offered a great solution that I was genuinely happy with and couldn’t refuse.
So even though a little mistake happened, they fixed it straight away and handled everything like generous, true professionals. I felt in good hands instantly and was fully confident in my purchase from ENGWE.

Very happy with bike but Engwe aftersales is terrible. Bike developed a fault nearing the end of warrantee with Engwe communication being slow and tired! They eventually sent replacement parts that where wrong! They took so long to respond that eventually the warrantee expired when all communication from them ceased! Still have ongoing issues with the bike and would not buy a bike from them again and do not recommend them.

I have been the owner of an Engwe Engine PRO 2.0 bike for just under a year, and after riding 2,200 kilometers, it broke down. I wrote to Engwe customer service describing the problem and the symptoms, and they quickly replied that the crank axle had failed and that I would receive a new part within three days, of course under warranty. After receiving the part and watching the instructional video on their website, I replaced the part myself without any problems. The bike is working like new again. Thank you for your quick response and help. I recommend this brand; they are reliable and make modern and comfortable bikes.

Beware of Engwe.eu’s False Claims and Poor Customer Service, I purchased an Engwe L20 e-bike from Engwe.eu on August 25, 2025, expecting a reliable product with a 140km battery range as advertised. However, my experience has been deeply disappointing due to missing parts, faulty components, and unresponsive customer service, which I believe violates German consumer law. Upon delivery, the bike was missing a seat component, rendering it unusable for two weeks while a replacement part was shipped from China. After fitting the part, I took the bike for a 30km test ride on flat cycle paths. Despite the bike computer showing full battery power, the bike slowed down and the battery died completely at 38km—far short of the advertised 140km range. This issue recurred on a second ride. A YouTube video confirmed other customers faced the same problem, yet Engwe’s only suggestion was to reset the bike’s computer, sending me a video for a different model, which was unhelpful. On another ride, just 8 miles in, the bike stopped entirely. I noticed the chain was hitting the rear tire, suggesting a rear hub or motor issue. Engwe offered a new computer and rear derailleur but refused to address the apparent motor failure, repeatedly asking me to repair the hub myself. I declined, as this would void my warranty. After multiple emails about the false range claims and mechanical failures, Engwe’s responses were vague, offering inadequate discounts (30–100 euros) instead of a proper solution.Eventually, Engwe agreed to collect the bike for repairs, but the courier refused pickup due to the bike’s size. Engwe’s response was to send parts for me to arrange repairs locally, which I found unacceptable. Despite numerous emails and a letter to their Hong Kong headquarters requesting a refund, I’ve received no satisfactory resolution. I’ve ridden the bike only a few times; most of my time has been spent pushing this heavy, faulty bike or chasing Engwe for support.I’m now forced to involve a solicitor, as Engwe’s practices—false advertising, defective products, and refusal to honor warranty obligations—appear to breach German consumer law. I strongly caution others against purchasing from Engwe.eu. Save yourself the frustration and choose a more reputable company.

I bought the ENGWE LE20 in October, drawn by its impressive specs and versatility. Unfortunately, the experience hasn’t lived up to the promise.
The battery has issues that affect reliability.
The mid-drive motor makes noticeable noise, which is frustrating on longer rides.
Just days after my purchase, the price dropped by €300 — no warning, no adjustment offered. That felt unfair.
For a bike marketed as premium and family-ready, I expected better quality control and customer care. I’ve reached out for support and hope ENGWE takes these concerns seriously. Until then, I can’t recommend this model without reservations.
Update:
I am currently in contact with ENGWE’s service team, and we are actively working on resolving the problems. I appreciate the ongoing communication and hope that everything will be fully resolved soon. I will update this review again once the situation is completely settled.

P275 Pro an electric bike that doesn't deliver. The automatic gears whilst sounds good change when you don't want them to. The bike can be terrible at going uphill when resistance increases when it should be opposite. it is basically quite unpredictable in how it responds. i can't see it on sale now so i guess it is withdrawn.
