I attended a portrait workshop delivered by David at a studio in Bath, unbelievably I was the only attendee, it is a great credit to David that the workshop ran and he didn't rearrange.

David got the balance of theory, shooting and feedback spot on, both David and the model Jess were professional at all times, which made for a fun shoot and great learning experience.

David's teaching style is is both relaxed and informative, he has a wealth of knowledge allied to an enthusiasm for all things photography.

I would recommend without hesitation and I can't wait to edit the images and to put into practice what I learnt.

Attended a portrait workshop run by David at his home studio. The day comprised of multiple sets, lighting and looks, with David’s easy going relaxed style and up-front prep making for an informative fun day. Additional time was given to a run through some post processing activities, with David sharing some of his workflow routine and content.

David's workshop for me was great fun and informative. David clearly has a specific style that I was keen to learn. In addition to that, the set up and flow was nice and easy, the presentation at the beginning wasn't too long so I didn't have to try and keep myself awake but was still enough to give me the information I needed. The shoot itself was varied and I understood what the setup was trying to achieve in relation to the presentation.
Finally, the shoot, the model and the environment were all excellent and I had much fun. I am looking forward to when I can attend another workshop with David, just for the enjoyment factor alone, definitely worth the 3 hour drive.

I attended one of David's studio workshops recently - it was well organised, full of helpful tips and techniques and well worth the modest cost. David has a relaxed but really effective 'teaching' approach and handled the attendee's (many) questions with broad knowledge of his craft. Highly recommended.

I traveled from Belfast to participate in David's "Art of Monochrome" workshop, and while I had high expectations having attended an online course previously, the in person event exceeded those expectations.

The pre workshop communications were excellent and on the day David kicked it off by running through the days itinerary, followed by a presentation, and then the actual shooting part of the day.

We shot 5 different sets and each one offered something a little different, while all being recognisable as shot in David's style.

The model for the day, Michaela, was outstanding, easy to work with, very professional but also very personable. Able to pose without direction, Michaela was also quite happy to take suggestions and eager to ensure that each of the photographers were happy with the shots they were getting.

After we finished shooting David walked us through a couple of live edits of how he approaches his editing and showed his complete workflow.

Facilities were excellent with tea, coffee, bottled water and lots of snacks available throughout that day, and David had also brought in a selection of fresh sandwiches for lunch.

All in all, an outstanding day and if you're wondering should you attend one of David's workshops, just do it - you won't be disappointed.

David's workshops are excellent and he puts a lot of preparation and thought into them. He is also great about communication and about following up with sharing materials and post-event communication. He's an outstanding portrait photographer with a signature look and I really enjoyed his workshop.

David is a master of what he does - and what he does is top-quality portrait photography. I would (and do) highly recommend him to anyone looking for something more than the ordinary.

I attended a workshop run by David yesterday, 2nd October at English Photoworks.
It was an excellent day of learning in a warm pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

If you want to improve your portrait photography the money that you spend attending David’s course is money truly well spent.

The course is extremely well prepared and David has both the skills and the teaching style to help you get better, even stellar, images.

I have already signed up for one more session and I will be booking others after that.

I attended an excellent one day workshop here on the 21/08/21. David is highly knowledgeable in the areas of set design and lighting which I found invaluable in furthering my knowledge of fine art and cinematic style photography.

I had a most enjoyable day at a workshop run by David in his studio. It was a small group so we could all fully participate. I went with some topics that I wanted to know more about and was fully able to do this. David and Taloulah, the model, were very friendly and happy to share their knowledge and skills. I had a great day and left with new skills, some great photos and a renewed enthusiasm.

I purchased David's Cinematic and Dramatic Portraits Master class and its been phenomenal. David's style of teaching is open and easy to understand. He breaks down lighting set ups and jargon to shows you step by step how to create the same flattering light. The photoshop actions are amazing, and have saved so much time. I especially love the hair actions, something I'd never have been able to do on my own. Thanks David.

Excellent workshop! I did the cinematic and dramatic portraits workshop with David earlier this month and learned so much. I cannot recommend David enough.

I recently attended a Fine Art Workshop at English Photoworks and enjoyed every minute. The use of one of the best models in the country (Stephanie Dubois) added to the enjoyment of the day. David is a great tutor and his wife provides a great lunch. I will be back.

I recently attended one of David's 1-2-1 workshops. It was first class. Not only is David a premier portrait photographer, he is an excellent instructor as well.

I joined David for an one to one weekend session studying children's fine art portraits. We spent Saturday photographing models learning lighting set ups, directing, posing amongst other things. Sunday was a whole day editing and learning the technique which gives his photographs their beautiful fine art look, would highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience with David of EPW, such a relaxed, friendly but focused photographer who has captured some very beautiful images for us, cannot recommend highly enough.

A fabulous day of photography training with David. The studio was excellently equipped, the model for the day was exceptional both in terms of her posing and how she photographed and the fact that she was fun and friendly to work with was an added bonus.
David has honed his craft and his knowledge of lighting and ability to pass that information on is second to none, with follow up notes from the workshop being emailed the following day, which means I can re-read and refer back to them.
We were very well looked after with refreshments available all day and with lunch provided too :)

I booked myself onto a Fine Art Photography workshop run by David and it turned out to be a fantastic day. David's work is superb and his training methods and approach to his craft are excellent. Couple that with first class facilities and a super lunch cooked up by his lady wife and you have all the ingredients for a first class workshop. 10/10 from me.
