Confident in conversation
Hi, from the experience i've had so far it seems good, with different themes and activities.
However, in my case i don't think i'm ready for group classes yet.
My biggest difficulty has always been speaking.
I don't know why, but when i have to talk i seem to block aout. I miss the words, wrong pronunciation, etc.
With your help and my own pace i'm trying to improve and become confident in conversation.

No one answers your questions
No one answers your questions, if you ask something even if you are paying every month, very Amazon-like feeling, unpersonalized, I expected more from ‘British Council’. Courses with subjects are very random chosen, are not interesting at all. I do not think group lessons make sense, having to communicate with people from all over the world with different accents and then without a continuity. Private lessons are too short and unstructured, teachers may be good, but they are overwhelmed because of the system that they have to throw a lesson in such a short time. All in all, it gives you a warehouse feeling. Book a proper course in a physical space, rather than this.

My opinion (2 months)
I believe there are many great English teachers. Group dynamics don’t always suit me because I need to learn professional English before interacting with colleagues from other nationalities (I often don’t understand them). The platform is generally intuitive and practical, but it has sometimes caused me doubts and confusion (which led me to miss two classes) – also due to some teacher turnover. In addition to thematic lessons, I would need more basic classes, or perhaps I am at a higher level than recommended (grammar reviews, general pronunciation rules, etc.). Private lessons are too short. I also need an automatic monthly calendar of scheduled classes.

The lesson structure is not the best and not managed effectively by the instructor.
The instructors leave you in a breakout rooms with other students foe the entire time without going through the lesson topic and they don’t provide real-world examples

It needs improvement
I do like the platform and its flexibility. It would be much better if C1-level lessons were longer. I don't have enough time to practice vocabulary or discuss questions. Additionally, it would be good to add an option of repeating the same lesson with a tutor one-on-one.

My experience with British Council English online courses has been very positive. I enjoyed the opportunity to interact with people from around the world, and all the teachers demonstrated excellent teaching methodologies. They consistently motivated us to improve our speaking skills.
In my opinion, some classes focused on writing should be longer than one hour, as this timeframe is not sufficient for adequate practice."
Additionally, speaker time after class should be mandatory, not optional, to enhance our speaking skills.
