No reply and faulty boots

I was thrilled to finally get my hands on a long discontinued model of boots after a long search, only to be met with disappointment. The boots arrived with 3 out of 9 speed hooks loose. The “good” boot was fully laced up and clearly had been tried on, while the faulty boot was laced only through the first hole, with the laces knotted behind the tongue and stuffed with paper. This indicates that someone noticed the loose speed hooks and simply put the boot back in the box "not my problem".

I took photos of the issue immediately and explained the problem, even offering to have the boots repaired as I didn’t want to risk being left empty-handed due to limited stock in my size. However, not once did the seller take any ownership or offer an apology or explanation for why the boots arrived in such a state. Worse still, they have not replied to any of my correspondence.

To be clear I bought these on The Shoe Snob Market place but they were dispatched and delivered by English Brands. The market place has since resolved this issue.

What's worse is they keep trying to take my review down, rather than actually deal with the fact that the boots arrived with speed hooks loose or respond to my email querying this.

Went above and beyond!

Got me a pair of shoes that i couldn't obtain in the states, got them to me in a timely & expeditious manner, communicated well and the whole transaction went through hassle free. A pleasure to deal with, and i would definitely recommend them :)

Shoes looked nothing like picture, returned them but kept my money

Shoes looked nothing like the picture (colour different and picture had high-ish shine finish, whereas shoes were dull matt) and after following their advice on returning them, they then decided to keep my money.

I initially phoned to find out the process for refund; the person I spoke to said she'd have to check with the boss who wasn't in that day and would phone me back on Monday.

Heard nothing for several days, and then I followed up with an email. I received a reply to that saying that I just needed to return the shoes to the address contained in the email. I sent them to the address, but didn't hear anything for around 4 weeks, and couldn't see a refund in my account.

So I followed up again; and this time was told that I wasn't due a refund, just a credit note, as not received within 14 days. This wasn't the case, and the date they claimed to have received them was in fact a Sunday (despite being sent via Royal Mail).

They also didn't offer any explanation as to any of this, including why they hadn't contacted me before, and when I followed up with a further email disputing the dates and their policy they replied with a very rude email, saying that they were also no longer offering a credit note.

So they now have both the shoes and my money - and I'm left with taking this forward via the Small Claims process.

This review doesn't reflect the truth at all, Sir.

Firstly the shop doesn't deal with Web Returns it's clearly stated in our T&C, which you signed and agreed to upon purchase as well as you was familiar with our 14 days Return Policy. In out T&C clearly stated that you have to email us for return authorisation, which you did on the 9th. You had a reply on the 9th of our return address. Unfortunately shoes were delivered on 23rd, which is over our 14 days policy. You were offered as a gesture of goodwill a Credit Note. We have also asked you to provide a valid Tracking, which you failed to provide. After threatening to us with court actions and bad review we decided to revoke a Credit Note and offered you to collect the shoes at your own expense. They are here any time please.

all good, cant really go wrong with UK made shoes little bit cheaper than the actual solovair website.

i cant speak for their customer service however im confident that everything that they stock is of the utmost quality

I am happy with the range and prices of…

I am happy with the range and prices of products from the supplier with ample customer service. The only issue was, I ordered a an item to be later informed that it was no longer in stock. I tried a smaller size as suggested but this did not fit, returning the item was easy and I would buy from the company again.

I was disappointed as I ordered…

I was disappointed as I ordered something one day to get a follow up email to say sorry it was discontinued, having said they were very apologetic and very nice to deal with. I will use the website again, hopefully successfully

Customer Satisfaction

The clothing I purchased was top quality and the customer service was excellent, to my amazement my items were delivered within acouple of days. I was so pleased I asked for advice when ordering accessories to complement and was sent a direct link for ordering the items and also payment.
