Everyone deserves a second chance

So in marketing terms I guess the guys who had a bad experience following the Dragons Den feature would be classed as Innovators. I'm a little later to the party so can't really comment on the service levels immediately following the Dragons Den appearance (which I haven't actually seen) but clearly, the demand created caused a few operational glitches...everyone deserves a second chance.

My own experience was entirely positive and I guess a lot of this is about managing expectations, or knowing what service is being offered. This isn't a Next-like order before midnight and get your stuff off the shelf from a warehouse the next day, this is a much more intimate affair.

Yes it takes time to build up a picture of what you like and what you don't like and honestly, the items you receive will have been tried on by other "Enclothers" so the packaging won't be pristine...but, the quality of the items is first class, the skill from the stylists who provide items which complement each other and can be mixed and matched WILL save you money in the long run, if like me you either have too many tops but no trousers to match or vice versa, this service will ensure you build and maintain a balanced, stylish and individual wardrobe. It really is worth that little bit of effort and opening your box, unlike when you order on-line in the traditional way, is a surprise. Sure everything might not be to your liking, and some items won't fit perfectly, but you can just send them back...for free! It's like revels versus maltesers. Everyone loves maltesers, but finding a coffee cream or a chocolate raisin keeps life interesting. Give it a go!

Amazing Company, Incredible Service, Fantastic Products

I have been an Enclothed customer since February 2015 and have received 6 boxes from them so far. Just wanted to say the service has been amazing from start to finish. My stylist Amelia knows my sizes and preferred brands, the whole team at Enclothed have been super-supportive, and they quality of brands and clothes seems to get better every time. Thanks again Enclothed!!

Great Idea and Service

Having your own personal stylist is a great touch. They know what they are talking about.

Value wise its good as delivery and pickup is free.

The clothes themselves are all good brands and quality.

Definitely worth a try (...or a second try in my case)

I, like I imagine so many, first came across Enclothed on Dragon's Den. For someone like myself, it was exactly the right idea - I hate going into shops and; a) trying to find something I like, b) that fits properly, all before I get fed up of the whole experience and go home with nothing.

So I dove straight in, set up a profile (quite enjoyable process) and clicked "send me a box". Turns out so did a lot of other people and so I ended up waiting months (3 I think in the end) for my box. That wasn't actually a big problem for me as I wasn't in a hurry. The problem was when it arrived half of it didn't fit, of the remaining there was nothing that suited me. Understandably I was underwhelmed and very disappointed. I sent the box back and was happy to see the back of them.

Skip ahead 6 months and I receive a call from Enclothed. As I relish in letting people know my opinion (as proven by this review) I provide a long winded account of my disappointment etc. In response the gentlemen explains that the sheer volume of enquiry post Dragon's Den essentially crippled them for nearly 6 months and my story was far from uncommon. I agreed to a second box as the concept was still something I wanted, and if they could get it right was just what I was looking for.

This box arrived inside a week (think it was 4 days). Inside the box was an array of things I stated I liked mixed with things I would never have picked up in a shop but were interesting and so I decided to try on everything. Everything fit and whilst ultimately I didn't take any of the items, the feedback I was able to provide (on things like colour, fit, brands etc) meant that in my next box Toby had hit the nail on the head and I bought practically everything in it.

Since then I have not looked back, other than underwear and suits every item of clothing I have bought for the last 6 months or so has come from Enclothed. I feel comfortable and fashionable without any of the discomfort of high street shopping. I can call Toby any time, all I need to say is I want some shirts (trousers, shoes, a belt, etc) and I know the next big decision I will have is... do I buy all of them (because they are all amazing) or do I resist and just get the one that I needed.

Shopping is a personal thing, making a profile in 2 minutes is a small step. My advice would be get a couple of boxes and give feedback to your stylist on every item. By your 3rd box you will have a person who knows you well enough to put together a great offering time and time again.

At the time of writing 75% of my entire wardrobe was bought from Enclothed. If they did a service which included suits I would never have to leave the house for clothes again!

Wouldnt hesitate to recommend Enclothed to anyone

Just received my third box from enclothed - first two didn't really do it for me but third box I have kept around 70% of the items as Pavan got it spot on and has been one of the easiest and most efficient people to deal with in a long time.

Have recommended it to all my colleagues and friends, I hate shopping and I get to try it on at home whilst my wife tells me what in reality I can keep!! once the kids have gone to bed and couldn't be easier and more fun!

So Cracking work pavan - top customer service and styling work - people are too quick to judge and not quick enough to praise.

Pathetic from start to finish

Absolutely disgraceful service. Couldn't organise a teddy bears picnic. Wait 22 days continuously fobbed off. Passing the buck onto the delivery companies. Really shocking. Lads do not use this. Not worth the hassle.

Great service and a real time saver

To keep this short and sweet, Enclothed is a great company that sends me clothes that I like.

This saves me a lot of time and effort. The best part overall is the fact that they now know what I like and dislike and what ever I don't like I can just send back without having to return them to a physical shop.

Unacceptable experience, was outraged

I'll make this a short, summarised version. I originally ordered a box from Enclothed on February 10th 2015. Due to there huge interest after Dragons Den, I knew they'd be busy. I was given a delivery date, but received nothing. I tried contacting the Stylist that was assigned to me and he informed me of the issues that they were having from being so busy. He couldn't tell me when I'd actually receive my box and just said it would be with me soon.

On the 4th March, I received a text message stating that my order would be delivered on the 5th March. However, that morning the next day I received another text message stating "Sorry, we haven't received your Enclothed parcel yet so we can't deliver it today".

On 7th March I had had enough. I emailed Enclothed to cancel my order. I didn't hear anything from them so I sent them another email on the 23rd March with the original email attached. After a FULL MONTH, on 7th April, I finally received a "confirmation" email stating that my order had been cancelled. However, that was not the case.

On 18th May, I received a text message saying that my order would be delivered on 19th May. Lo and behold, the next day an Enclothed box was delivered to me. Having contacting to cancelling over 2 months previous to the delivery and getting confirmation it was cancelled over a month before, on the 7th April, I was pretty annoyed. Annoyed that I now had to contact them again and now have to deal with sending it back.

I emailed them and was given a label to print off and stick to the Enclothed box to send back. After printing it I was then emailed again, stating that that label was incorrect and I now had to print off this new one. Again, another inconvenience. I printed the new label off, stuck it to the box and dispatched it, with every single item still inside.

I didn't hear anything from them since. Until today, 27th July 2015. I received an email attached with an unpaid invoice for £120.00 for a pair of shoes. Charged for an item that I don't have, from a box I didn't want! I emailed Enclothed immediately, and composed a tweet on Twitter to them soon after (which grabbed there attention instantly! As they most likely want to protect their brand from bad reviews and incidents and want to keep these issues on the down low). I received a call immediately after composing the tweet, from a nice lady again and she tried to explain what has possibly happened. That someone along the line of return, from the courier to Enclothed, had most likely taken the items (she stated that two items were missing from the box even though the invoice only charged me for one?).

The way it was said, sounded like this was a known issue for them, and that I'm not the only incident. By which I mean things being taken from the box on the way back/return, and the customer being charger for it.

After clearing this up, she then "confirmed" for me that this charge will be wiped from my account and that my account will now be deleted along with my information. However, I had be told this when I cancelled my order to begin with.

Everything seems to be done over the phone, and I don't get written confirmation. When I receive written confirmation that;
a. My account now as zero charges against it and is at now at balance of £0.00,
b. My account, along with all my information; name, address, email, phone number and bank details, have been deleted from their database.

When I receive written confirmation of this, I'll amend my review, but for now it will remain at 1 star. This should not have happened to begin with or taken this long to resolve.

The Defence

I must say it is disappointing to see so many negative, and quite frankly, unconstructive reviews about Enclothed. I assume, like 95% of people here, that you were compelled to engage with them following their pitch on DD. A great concept, a new concept (unless I'm mistaken), bridging a gap between the speed and convenience of online across multiple brands with the a personal touch - this is itself is no small feat. There is something mysterious and exciting about the process that they have absolutely tapped into, without the aid of senses or intimacy (normally done through actual human interaction).

Even in a best case scenario, with offers from all 5/6(?) dragons (which I don't remember the owners being far off), I cannot imagine they were prepared for the response they received. Even if they'd received no offers, were publicly lambasted and humiliated, something about it meant I probably still would have given them a chance. That in itself is extremely powerful.

However, teething problems will occur. The answer to all of these problems? Communication. Everyone in this instance is a first time customer, hence you must over invest with them. The whole experience is in the hands of the stylists, so many of the senses and experience that high street retailers work so hard to influence (Burberry - very, very good at this) is lost through this concept. Even a simple 5 minute phone conversation would go a long, long way.

I should point out that my box contained some great items. Though I had to return everything, this was purely because I already owned almost identical items from many of the same brands. They were almost too accurate for their own good! I gave positive and detailed feedback to that effect, because I fully expect the next box to be one that I keep 99% of.

The point here - do not be too quick to judge. As J.R.R. Tolkien said, "Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement". Be patient. Provide honest, constructive feedback instead of chastising a business and process that is brand new. Most importantly - build trust (this is a two way street).

The Dragons have lost their investment

You would expect more for a company that got investment through Dragons Den. This is probably the worst dealing I have ever had.

I ordered a box soon after the appreance on DD. No communication for about a month. I was then told box would be delivered 2 April, no further communication, April came and went. Eventually got box in May, and that is where the trouble started.

The 'personal' stylist had clearly had a meltdown and everything in the box was awful, so disappointed. I thne contacted Enclothed to arrange a collection. First date organized, my wife stayed in all day - nothing. I followed up after, as no contact from Enclothed. They blamed Interlinks and arranged another date. Same thing, nothing.

Got to the point I am thinking of taking box personally back to their trading address just to get rid of it.

This company is going to go bankrupt fast, no customer service, appalling range of clothes and pretty expensive. A good idea, badly executed.

Useless

My husband ordered a box of clothes having been through lots of detail as to what he wanted fit etc. firstly as others have said there was a long delay before the box was delivered.
When it did come it was all so bad I actally laughed out loud! Slim fit shirts, jeans, especially! Instructions standard fit shirts, no jeans, they included heavy brogue work shoes all just totally random. Horrid cotton jumpers having been told cashmere only and everything very expensive.

They were due to collect it last Monday then Tuesday, stayed in all both days. Promised today Tuesday asked for first thing now gone 3pm and no sign.
When we finally get rid of this b****y box we will not be ordering again. Chapar are much better at this and we have bought several items from them

Has potential

Like most others that saw the girls pitch on Dragons Den, I was quite excited by their idea. I had put the thought of using them on hold since I didn't want to get clothes in middle of winter with no opportunity to show them off. So I waited and when the time came, my plans were scuppered by a long lead time. That is understandable given the press they received so I was delighted when I got a tweet back with news I could have box 48 hours later!
The delivery was not only prompt but delivered at the exact time given.

I had been asked if there are any specifics I wanted and these were accommodated as much as possible. However I don't think my profile and choices were given much notice. Maybe they were trying to suggest something new or maybe they gave what they had left. I didn't dislike anything especially - most items i either loved, thought were okay but wrong fit, or owned already.

The prices did make my eyes water. I had expected it to be pricier than normal but had hoped my indicative price points would have been met better - and I also thought there would be some discount for buying direct.

Of the items I loved, all but one I found online cheaper (and quickly bought!) and those that were okay, I noted for inevitable sales discounts. I do hope in time they can pass some of the savings onto customers as I would be inclined to keep more if I knew I was getting a good deal.

My only other criticism is the pick up arrangements. Mon to Fri 9-5 just isn't acceptable in 2015. Especially if like me, your employer is funny about deliveries/collections for personal use. Enclothed should at least look at using the Collect+ or UPS's access point services as after all, they are meant to be offering style with no effort from customer. Don't inconvenience them at the last hurdle by only collecting during office hours.

My box is due to be collected on Friday after 11am. Fingers crossed this goes to plan as it is the deal breaker for me to order another box.

There not the best out there!

I like a lot of people watched the Dragons Den program and thought what a great idea! So jumped on my laptop and ordered a 'Styled Box' from Enclothed!
Waiting a few weeks and at some points not even sure if I had ordered correctly one of their team got back to me to say there were Big delays due to the popularity of the show! No kidding!!!
Nearly a month later I got my box, sorry to say I was disappointed! Lots of the clothes were well over the price restrictions I had entered when I first ordered and none of the clothes went together! The styles of the clothes were also a bit random! It felt as though the box was filled with what ever they had on the shelves.
On my second look in the box and the shockingly large price list I though I'd key a few items into the search and see what other people's prices were. Enclotheds pricing promise was as mythical as their speedy delivery claims.
Most items were on sale with other retailers due to the fact it was all last years stock and they wanted rid of it!
To top it off a month after sending my box back complete I find out they have charged me for items I never took from the box! With out even sending me an invoice! No I'm playing the waiting game with their very poor customer services emails!
To be honest their not the hassle free company they claimed to be! There are much better and more established company out there!!!!

No point

I signed up my bf and was happy to pay for a couple of boxes as a present. I was actually quite excited about it initially but that was over two months ago and since then all either of us have heard have been emails to say its going to be a while before they get round to sending anything. Its clear this company are happy to take your subscriptions and waste your time then build their business of the back of your expression of interest rather than ever supply customers with products. Shame to get someones hopes up only to never deliver

Shocking

Ordered box back in February. Received email to say someone would be in touch. Got an email to say because of the success of Dragons Den, my box would be late. Then received another email - now, I'm not sure if the second email was an apology or a boast of how busy they were!
Now early April, still no box!!

So slow its almost pointless

Whats the point of a service for "time poor" men if you are time poor yourself?
suppliers, dragons den blah...

I once went to Mcdonalds who apologised that I stood there for 10 minutes for a mac at lunch. My response was that they should be prepared for being busy at lunch... as that what they do and should expect it.

this is the same...2 months for an order to be fulfilled, anywhere else would be unacceptable, this is no different despite them being nice guys and a startup. ...

Should offer something for people who can be bothered.

Time Wasters

I ordered my box on the 18th of February, they delayed my box 3 times, it finally got to a point were I decided to cancel and not bother. There excuse is they are really busy and thats why my box has been delayed.

Shocking that they claim Dragons Den show has made the service even more busier, but waiting nearly more that 1 month is unacceptable. They have no remorse and clearly need to hire more staff.
