I have attempted to place an order…
I have attempted to place an order twice: each time it had failed, yet Ellos withdrew the funds for the order from my debit/checking account -- the first order attempt it double charged the same amount! When I called their customer service, they were not able to give me an answer and told me to wait and see if the charges "fell off" in a few days. Meantime, Ellos has my money and is most likely making money off of the pending charge and not ever processing an order . I asked for help over the telephone, but the agent was unable to answer any of my questions. I feel like I need to report this to a better business bureau as this is must be at best unethical, if not illega.

A reservation is a temporary hold placed by your bank to ensure the funds are available. The money is not transferred to us.
A charge means the payment has been completed and the funds have been transferred.
If you only see a reservation, the amount will normally be released automatically by your bank if the order is not processed.

Customer service
Terrible customer service. My order was cancelled due to unknown reasons for me and to find out about money return they said I need to contact bank myself and could not provide with an answer in what time range money should be returned. So basically 'you need, you find out'. No help at all.

Since the website won't let me reply to a company's response, this is a continuation of another review I wrote a few days ago. I hope it reaches Ellos.no.
The first thing I received a few days after sending the package was a refund notification, to which I immediately replied that I wanted the product back. I wasn't informed at any point before processing the return, and I was immediately told that it wasn't possible to send the device back. Did I lie? I even wrote on the return package by hand that it was being sent for repair because that option didn't exist, which made me suspect at the time I sent it that it would never be returned because there was no intention of fixing anything. Just another big company that prefers to throw things away, generate waste, and continue polluting rather than fix what still exists. I don't see any lies in my review. I sent an item for a simple repair, and I'm sure they didn't even try to do it.

We apologize that you experienced insufficient information during your correspondence with our customer service team.
I have now reviewed your order and the related complaint case. Normally, if repair is considered a possible solution, we contact the customer and obtain a cost estimate from the supplier, as well as information regarding the applicable warranty.
In this case, we were in contact with the manufacturer, and it was determined that the defect could unfortunately not be repaired. The item was therefore disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations.
As it was neither possible to repair the product nor provide a replacement item, the purchase amount was refunded. This was the only available resolution in this matter.
We acknowledge that the process could have been explained more clearly. In our initial communication, when you received the return labels, we did inform you about how we handle complaints regarding electrical products. However, we understand that you may have expected a more detailed explanation.
We apologize that the process did not meet your expectations and hope this clarification provides a better understanding of how your complaint was handled.
