Avoid Elite Singles NZ
Paid NZD209 subscription 29 Oct 2025 on Elite Singles NZ. Used the site for 7 days and all of a sudden, I couldn't log in as I was being directed to a another Elite Singles website with a different logo. Email the help page of this new site. They said that they recently changed their website. I told them i couldn't log in as it wants me to register again. They asked for a screenshot of payment which I provided. They could clearly see their own code and reference no. They got back to me saying they couldn't identify my profile??? They wanted me to give them my DOB again (which I already did when I first registered). I told them no, you should be able to find me with the refence number. They said they need my bank statement. the screenshot I sent clearly shows I have paid Spark Networks. I reported them to National Cyber Security Center NZ and cancelled my card so no more recurring charges as there's no way to access the old site where I could cancel my subscription. Total scam.
In fairness, after all this, I have asked for a refund and received it within 10 working days.
Messages from fake profiles
In the past few months I get friendly messages from attractive women who have not viewed my profile. I send a nice message that is never read and never responded to. These look like messages designed to keep me interested.
The real women on the website all seem serious to me and are seriously looking for relationships.
It is such a shame. The messages and photos always seem real but the facts point to ai.
30% to 40% fake profiles
I was matched with 30% to 40% fake profiles. I got tired of reporting them and there are currently a few dozen still in my matches. I’ve asked for a refund and definitely canceled. It’s obvious that they are fake after seeing so many of the same thing and how they all don't quite make sense in many ways. There were some really good matches too but it’s not worth sorting through the insult of being spammed by some crooks somewhere in the world.
I actually had a good experience with…
I actually had a good experience with potential dates, but Elite randomly closed my account for "inconsistencies." They asked for my ID, which I sent, and then nothing. No explanation of what they mean by "inconsistencies" and no offer to refund all the advance money I paid them. They are ignoring my emails. They are thieves.
I am 70 well educated
I am 70 well educated, attractive and ES said my profile had garnered "a lot of attention" After 2 months I have not had one single contact from a male. Also, 80% of the suggested men for me are located in either Quebec or British Columbia...I am in Ontario. It seems Elite Singles does not have an Ontario presence nor a male client base. I will not renew my membership with Elite Singles. Suggest avoid.
SCAM - expensive, no search function
No search function! £55 a month and you can't actually search or view people. I was shown 10 people who were not in my area or age range, and I had to wait until the next day to see the next 10 people. It is an absolute scam, set up so they dictate how many people you see, so you have to spend more time on there and spend nore money. Do not give them your money because you get nothing in return.
Dreadful dating site
Dreadful dating site. Loads of bogus accounts. I even had one pop up with Valdimar Zelensky's photo stating he was living in Ireland!!!He was called Frank and living in Fingal!!!
I had spotted a while ago there was loads of guys all living in Fingal which I did report but got nothing back
I've now cancelled my subscription and deleted my account.
IT IS NOT A GOOD DATING SITE
The quality of people I have been…
The quality of people I have been meeting on the app is outstanding, compared to others that I have tried in the past. Support is amazing too, fast and professional. I had an issue with my profile answers being rejected by the system when I registered, so I reached out and it was resolved very quickly. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a pool of more serious, and high quality candidates to meet online.
Scam
Scam! Horrible service. Fake and low educated members. I paid in advance for 6 months and after a few weeks my account was closed without any notification! It took me almost two months to find a reason. No phone number, only emails with customer service. They wanted me to send them copies of my ID in order to open my account back! The worst dating site experience!!!
This dating site is full of scammers…
This dating site is full of scammers and fake profiles! Don't waste your money and time...AVOID this site! When you ask for a refund, they will tell you that you're past the three-day grace period when in fact you have 14 days. They are based out of Berlin/Germany! Foreign company scamming Americans!!!
Not bad in comparison
They appear to have better quality profiles, they match people based on Personality test results + common interests.
However, it is not different than the rest in terms of initial transparency on policy and you end up being asked to pay for the right to interact and the amount will determine access. Not enough to stand out.
I burst with ideas on how they could be the leading website and get more people to join, but they'll have to hire me.
Problems with accessibility
Despite being able to log on from my computer or my phone for the first few days, I now keep receiving messages that my password isn't recognized. When I try to change my password, it says something went wrong and I can't change it. On my phone, the wheel keeps spinning most of the time. When it actually connects, it doesn't update and trying to type a message is impossible.
I've contacted customer service many times but they haven't done anything that helps. I want my money back.
Elite singles is a scam and phishing…
Elite singles is a scam and phishing site. So I joined the app in April of this year and after two months of no activity, just useless matches, I finally got into a decent conversation with a gentleman ( I think). On the second day of messaging with him, just as I was about to type a response to something he said, the app kicked me out. I tried logging back in but couldn’t. Finally, around 1am I was able to get the contact info for customer service ( it was like finding a needle in a haystack).I emailed them and the following morning got a response saying they noticed some inconsistencies in my account and they blocked my account. They asked me to provide my drivers licence or passport for them to verify me and unblock my account. I was sceptical. In the meantime, they went ahead and messaged the man I was chatting with telling him that he needed to cease all communication with me, that I was dishonest and a scam, they use sophisticated methods to locate people like us. Imagine having your photo tied to a dating app, and the dating app sending such a message and ruining your chances on the app. When you know you’re legit. In any case, I refused to provide such sensitive information to them and found another way to contact the man to clear my name. I got off that app for good. I wonder even if the man was real or a bot used to farm people’s information. I highly do not recommend this app and would advice anyone looking for serious dating to avoid this app like the plaque. PS: I have screenshots of the messages sent to the man and myself as proof of their fraudulent ways.

SCAM. Can't video call. Most profiles no photos
A scam. Can't video call. Many without photos. Obvious fake profiles. $$$$$. Fake good looking 'match' appeared last day of my paid membership. Off shore company can get away with BS.
Elite is truly morbid. System tainted by failures, but not before demanding income level to complete profile.
Concur with CM's earlier review. Spent 30 minutes entering login info, then thoughtfully completing profile. Required email login a 2nd time. System failure. Error box popped onto screen:
"Something went wrong. Please, go back or reload the page."
Elite Singles system failed 4x upon completing survey. Failed to allow me to enter. Failed to allow a password correction. Just an EWOF (Elite Wall Of Failure). Morbidly required one to enter income level before proceeding to next screen, which was system failure. I feel a sense of violation by this "Elite" dating service that has no business in such a sensitive field.
Steals personal information
Once I gave them all my information, I was locked out of the app. Password automatically saved in phone did not work, password reset did not work, customer service did not respond. No way to delete it. Complete scam. Also for those that do not read the fine print, it tracks you even when the app is off and collects data from your phone. I also bet it adds malware. This app in itself is a catfisher let alone the matches it would give.
Horrific Experience
Don't waste your money paid 75.00 and was a horrible experience spoke with 8 woman and yes all 8 were fake scammers 100% they don't want to verify the people when they can very easily because they lose to much revenue. In all fairness all these dating site are a scam
Fake profiles
Fake profiles, what would you expect, filler fake profiles expect just that, just to woo you into paying $60/mo. It is just that. Steven Laporte
