I am fully enjoying kickboxing classes at Trowbridge ELK, I have been attending for about 2 years and have found the atmosphere fun and inclusive. I was incredibly nervous going to my first class but I have been able to build confidence and most importantly have fun in a fitness class! While it is true the instructors are not black belt, they are incredibly knowledgeable and keen to make sure you improve technically within your capability. Personally I find the fact that is taught by women who can understand the perspective of the members who are all different ages, fitness and skill levels far more helpful than a young male black belt teacher who doesn't understand how not everyone can or even wants to be just like them. As you progress through the classes you start sparring which is incredibly fun and opens up a whole new set of skills to learn in an environment that feels safe and welcoming. I would recommend it to everyone, no matter your fitness levels if you want a supportive and fun class that will develop your skills and confidence where people cheer you on for your successes and help you when you are struggling. Its maybe not the class if you do want to compete but if you give it a chance you will absolutely be surprised at what you can achieve.
Absolutely love wlite ladies kickboxing it is fun great bunch of ladies make you feel welcome great community
From day one you're made to feel welcome and that you can smash these classes. They're open to any age and ability and adapt them accordingly. I needed to do some fitness but the gym isn't for me. Kickboxing is a full body work out and I've made some great friends too. You're pushed to succeed, given tailored coaching and you always leave with a smile on your face. So glad I chose to join ELK, even happier that Liv and the gang run the Trowbridge one.
I have been a member of ELK for almost 4 years now and could not recommend them enough. The classes are always fun, friendly and a great workout. The classes have allowed me to build my fitness, strength, knowledge and most importantly my confidence. The instructors are extremely professional and supportive. Not only have I found a class I'm excited about attending each week, I have also met the most amazing ladies and made life long friendships along the way. I would recommend ELK 100% to everyone.
This is just the beginning of my experience,Im so far loosing wait graining a lot of confidence and feeling more en tune with my body ,also have met some lovely ladies there always willing to help and not judge.i can't forget the laughs we have as well .

"I honestly can’t say enough good things about these kickboxing classes! Since I joined, I’ve found my new family. Everyone is so supportive and fun, and it’s such a great environment. I started a year ago, not knowing what to expect, and now I’m totally hooked! The workouts are tough, but in the best way, and I feel so much stronger and more confident. It’s not just about kickboxing – it’s the people and the energy that keep me coming back. I’m so glad I found this place
Oh my gosh! What an experience!
The Ross-on-Wye instructors Chloe and Charlotte have skills. Not just in kickboxing but at making people feel comfortable, confident and capable. When I walked in, they surely thought they had their hands full. I was unfit, full of anxiety and convinced myself this wasn’t for me - I was wrong and they proved me wrong week after week. I have immense respect for them and will be always grateful for the potential they unlocked for me.
If you are even considering it, just jump in, give it a try. If I can, anyone can.
I've been training with Elite Ladies kickboxing for 6 years. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive and the classes are inclusive and fun. I've gained so much confidence as well as knowledge and skills. ELK is such a supportive community of amazing women.
Such a great class. a wonderful supportive and friendly group of ladies! Fantastic!
As a woman over 40, I didn’t feel like joining a gym again as I didn’t feel confident enough. I also needed to meet new people following a house move to a new area. I started a beginner’s course 4 weeks before Christmas with ELK, and I was instantly hooked! What amazing instructors, and an incredible bunch of ladies I am training with, I was made to feel instantly welcomed and part of the family. My journey is only just beginning, I love these classes and they are the highlight of my week. Thank you xxx
I was honestly so scared joining ELK but it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! Not only do you work out and feel great, but do it alongside some amazing women too. Everyone makes you feel at home and helps you achieve your full potential.
It’s for young or old and for all shapes and sizes and that’s what makes it so special. I know I have found my happy place
Never had a bad session with these guys, instructor is energetic and really helpful while also being available for any and all questions. Really fun to go to the sessions, a great workout and some lovely people to meet all in one. Massive confidence booster!
I joined ELK in Calne over 3 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I honestly think that ELK is a great organisation: fun, friendly, supportive and a fabulous way to exercise and maintain fitness. Everyone is so inclusive and positive. I’m one of the oldest in the class but have never felt that I didn’t belong. I would highly recommend ELK to anyone.
I have been a member of ELK for a number of years and have loved it, I'd never done any martial arts prior to joining and frankly never thought I would but ELK have welcomed me and helped me and it fosters a real sense of community and confidence. The all female nature of the groups mean you aren't competing against men and women of all ages, levels and bodies are welcomed. Would recommend it to any woman
I joined a new class Oct 24, wanting to maybe meet new people & get fitter and I couldn’t have underestimated what I was entering more.
The exercise is so much fun, the ladies are amazing and I now feel part of such a positive community. The mental and physical health benefits have been amazing. I would and do recommend ELK to any ladies as the benefits are so much more than you would think! Thank you!
Becky H is the reason I signed up to ELK! Absolutely love my kickboxing sessions and have made fab friends. Best decision I made was signing up last year!
I absolutely love being a part of ELK!
I joined them back in 2020 to learn something new and it was the best decision I made! I had to quit (twice) for personal reasons and I came back (twice) and each time they welcomed me with a big smile and open arms, encouraging me to do more and motivating me to be better. Now, not only do I get to learn how to kickbox but I get to do it with a great group of women supporting me on my journey.
I love ❤️ these classes!! A great atmosphere to train in, students and instructors are all super friendly . It's really improved my fitness and confidence and I've met many new friends . Many different training options to fit around work and family . I definitely recommend them
I'm deeply disappointed with the treatment I've received as well as fellow members of the Pewsey class. What is even more disheartening is learning that the belts awarded to us have no real value. I've essentially wasted a significant amount of money and a full year of my time, only to find myself starting over from scratch.
After suffering a concussion and dealing with post-concussion syndrome, I informed ELK that I would need to pause my membership on doctors orders. Despite this, they continued to charge me, and I was only refunded for one month, even though nowhere in the terms and conditions did it state I was required to give 30 days' notice as they claimed.
They did offer to extend my pause for another month but I was informed that by pausing, upon my return I would have to pay the new rate which was a significant jump in price. I was also informed that by pausing I couldn’t make up the classes I missed due to my injury, even though my instructor had originally promised I could once I was fit and well to return. It’s also advertised that any missed classes can be made up, yet I was denied this which directly contradicts what was promised when I first joined.
Where’s the sense of loyalty when I’ve had to stop training, not by choice but due to medical reasons, after having supported and promoted this club for the entirety of my time there? It’s incredibly disheartening to feel like my commitment and advocacy for the club doesn’t seem to be reciprocated. The lack of understanding and support in such a time makes it feel even more frustrating and unfair.
The lack of a governing body, constant changes to the syllabus, and the fact that many of the instructors and assistants weren’t even black belts was a major concern. It's hard to trust a club when the people teaching you don’t hold the qualifications they’re supposed to. Many of the assistants were the same belt rank, or even lower, than I was — how can they properly assist or demonstrate at a higher level? This is especially concerning now that they’re advertising and running junior kickboxing classes.
In order to grade we had to meet a certain attendance requirement so I spent a considerable amount of time driving 30+ minutes to attend extra classes, believing I had to meet certain attendance requirements to grade. However, I later found out that others were allowed to grade even without meeting the minimum number of classes, and some individuals even received belts during our award ceremony without even attending the grading session at all. How is this acceptable?
The instructor program they promote, which is expensive and lacks clear outcomes, feels more like a pyramid scheme than a legitimate teaching opportunity. There’s no guarantee of actually being able to teach your own class afterward.
Overall, this is not a proper martial arts school—it's more like a boxercise class. If you're just looking for a fun fitness routine with no real concern for progression or skill development, this might be a suitable option. However, I’ve since joined a new club where black belt instructors actually teach with real expertise, skill, and understanding. I now feel like I’m getting the proper training I originally sought.
It's also upsetting to hear that members were told I left due to health issues, a private matter that isn’t theirs to discuss and is entirely untrue. The whole experience has been a waste of both my time and money.
Very friendly and lots of support just wished I knew this class before the covid outbreak, I am Currently on Two Class Purton and Cricklade and orange belt at the moment if you are told that you are able to grade then you know that the instructors don't get you to grade when they know your not ready even though other companies might do it. I also went to one of the kickboxing camp this year in March that was epic and can't wait for next year to book for 2 or all of the camps, all instructors are helpful also we have fun too plus we have the best person who is the founder of this company called Tim Beynon 😀
