Ease of dealing with Zach

Ease of dealing with Zach, However I did have some problems dealing with the female rep the company put me with as I was generally not happy with her. I eventually followed Zach's suggestions and bought my opener and hired my own contractors without Elite's interference and they quickly settled my claim. My only real problem was that I did not and could not find the 90 days stipulation about receiving only current value of older garage door opener instead of current replacement value. I still have not found that in the contract but I guess it is buried somewhere in it. Zach and Nathan are nice people to deal with generally speaking. Also there is some question in my mind when the 90 days starts if it is in the contract. I lost $350 of compensation for about 20 days according to their computation. I could have used a bad garage door opener for that many more days by using my own power for $350 and no hassle in buying my own opener and getting my own contractor. they might have told me this when I first put in my claim.

Most rude people I have ever come…

Most rude people I have ever come across, on how the treated the technician they sent out to do a repair-I cancelled Elite immediately.

after their response to my post-what else could they say they acted just fine-but I listened to the phone conversation and how they spoke to the technician and still my opinion it was nor correct way to handle the discussion.

Customer recently signed up, his account is new. Coverage started on January 20th, 2023. Customer submitted a claim on February 7 for a leak in the ceiling. Technician arrived to the property within 24 hours and performed the diagnosis. Customer gave the technician permission to cut open the ceiling without any prior authorization. The leak was determined to be caused by water splashed outside of the bathtub, no plumbing issues were identified. Management reached the tech asking why and who instructed him to open the ceiling and he replied the customer authorized the work to be completed without our consent or approval. We later recommended that technicians obtain authorization before performing additional actions for future reference, customer jumped on the call and requested to cancel the account. Account was cancelled, copay was refunded and a full refund was issued instantly. The call with the technician was handled properly, our claim concierge treated the situation with the utmost care. The call was reviewed multiple times by management and no negligence was found. Management later tried reaching out to customer to offer additional support but he rejected. We treat every home like it is ours and we have a process in place to ensure quality service and the best service experience.

Zack

Zack, Elite's representative who worked with us, was totally unlike anyone else in this industry from other companies that we have spoken to. Not pushy and very informative and professional. In addition, my wife had done considerable research on home warranty companies prior and we concluded that ELITE was the type of company we could trust. They stood out from the others in a positive way.
