These are quite simply the best wheels I’ve ever owned. The Elitewheels Helix are incredibly light, reactive, and surprisingly aerodynamic for their profile. Thanks to the wide rim bed, my 30mm tires (with TPU tubes) at 5 bar provide a perfect balance of comfort and speed for my 75kg weight.

What truly sets them apart is the value for money. At this price point, it’s nearly impossible to find a wheelset that performs this well. Plus, it’s great to see that local distributors are now officially importing them to Italy, making support and availability much easier.

I’m so impressed that I’m already planning to buy a second, deeper-profile set with steel spokes. Highly recommended!

Best customer service ever. I first got the marvel as training wheels. I’m very happy with them. One of my friends bought them too afterwards and he competes with them now. Zero problem so far. More recently I got the drive 2 for my girlfriend and those wheels are incredible. Awesome handling, less affected by crosswinds than the marvel, lightweight, wide enough for our 28mm tyres. Even the packaging is better than what I’ve seen with US brands for example. Plus spare spokes are included… Now I’ going to buy the drive 2 (50 front 65 rear) for my TTbike as an all round setup. Low and honest price for amazing wheels.

This is now the fourth pair of Elitewheels Drive 2 wheels I’ve bought.
• A mixed 65/50 set for my Specialized Venge
• A 50/50 set for my Specialized Tarmac
• A 36 mm set for my Leon titanium bike, used for light bikepacking
• And a set of Drive G45 wheels for my gravel bike

So it’s safe to say that I’m in love with these wheels.
They are beautifully finished, stiff, strong, and lightweight.

They perform so well that I eventually sold my Roval CLX wheelset and now ride exclusively on Drive 2 wheels.

The ratchet system, although loud, is extremely efficient and durable, and servicing the freehub is remarkably simple.

These wheels arrived in super quick time and what quality they are. I had read so much about them but the Elite Drive II wheels are quite simply some of the best wheels I have ridden. Super light, super stiff and nice and comfy, they do feel seriously fast and aero. OK the rear hub is loud but this comes into it's own when warning pedestrians you are coming along and usually extremely quickly. Tyre fitting is easy enough too, though this maybe tyre dependent. Love these Eilte wheels, they are quite simply outstanding.

I picked up a set of 29er Pro 33 wheels for my wife's Niner Air 9 and they've been outstanding. Build quality is genuinely impressive — spoke tension is even and true right out of the box, and the finish on the carbon layup is clean and well-executed. They're remarkably light for a wheelset at this price point, which she noticed immediately on her first ride; acceleration and climbing feel noticeably snappier than the stock wheels they replaced.

The hubs deserve their own mention. Fast engagement, smooth bearings, and a confident sound under load — they feel like hubs from brands charging twice as much. Tubeless setup was one of the easiest I've ever done: tire seated with a standard floor pump, sealed up without drama, and has held pressure perfectly ever since. No fighting the bead, no compressor required.

Customer service was equally excellent. Communication was prompt and clear throughout the order process, shipping updates were accurate, and every question I had was answered quickly and thoroughly. That kind of responsiveness matters when you're buying carbon wheels direct.

I’ve been seriously impressed with this carbon wheelset. The first thing you notice is how incredibly responsive they feel—acceleration is snappy, and they hold speed effortlessly once you’re up to pace. Climbing feels noticeably easier compared to my previous alloy wheels, and on flats they just seem to glide.

The stiffness is spot-on without feeling harsh. Power transfer is immediate, especially when sprinting or pushing hard out of corners, but they still manage to absorb enough road buzz to stay comfortable on longer rides.

Another standout is the aerodynamics. At higher speeds, there’s a clear advantage—they cut through the wind smoothly, and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in maintaining speed with less effort.

Build quality is excellent. The finish looks premium, braking performance is consistent, and they’ve stayed perfectly true so far. Crosswinds are manageable too, which was something I was initially concerned about these are absolutely worth it.

1. The Setup: Drive 50/65 Combination On my current Winspace T1550, I am running the Drive 50mm front and 65mm rear combo. This staggered setup is the "sweet spot" for aero performance. The 50mm front provides stable handling even in crosswinds, while the 65mm rear acts like a sail, maintaining incredible momentum at high speeds. Visually, the carbon weave looks stunning against the white frame.

2. Performance & Comparison: Helix 46D SS Previously, I used the Helix 46D SS (Steel Spoke) wheelset on my Ridley Helium. The Helix, with its distinctive undulating (wavy) rim profile, was exceptionally light and snappy—perfect for the climbing nature of the Helium.

Transitioning to the Drive series, I noticed a significant boost in stiffness and "punch." While the Helix 46D was a climbing weapon, the Drive 50/65 setup feels like a powerhouse on the flats and rolling hills. Despite the deeper profiles, the weight remains impressively competitive.

I'm also thinking buy Elite Drive 2 50d I couldn't wait another journey.

I recently purchased the Drive II 50D and could not be happier with them. Weight, speed and responsiveness are better than any wheelset I have used previously. Aftermarket support from Elitewheels has been particularly impressive. They go above and beyond to assist with queries and provide helpful information for maintenance.

The wheels (Drive 50 D II) are simply fantastic. I recently spent a week cycling in Mallorca and it was wonderful, both on flat terrain and in the mountains.
Rode it with 32 mm tubeless tires.
