When they informed me that I might have been missold one of my pensions , I was surprised but agreed for them to pursue a claim. They made it very simple and Jemma kept me well informed during the process. The claim was rejected which I sort of expected, but after a short while Elite informed me that they were going to appeal the decision and to my surprise Jemma phoned me and told me that they had won the appeal to the tune of over 50% of the original payout .
I can’t thank Elite enough and they were well deserving of their commission for their sterling work

I was contacted by James Baker of Elite Chambers after my pension transfer advisor ceased trading in 2021. In my ignorance, I assumed it was a lost cause, but James was persuasive and made sure I understood that the arrangement was clearly "no win - no fee". To be honest, I then forgot all about it. Over the next few months I received a series of polite courtesy calls from James to say that progress was being made and to reassure me that I hadn't been forgotten and he was still working on my behalf. Then suddenly, a decision letter from FSCS advising that Elite Chambers and my claim had been successful; followed by a call from James to confirm it. Within a week, funds had arrived in my account. James is a thoroughly professional consultant and clearly represents a high quality firm who really do have their client's interests as their priority - and James' attitude and responsiveness clearly illustrates that. I was contacted by James Baker of Elite Chambers after my pension transfer advisor ceased trading in 2021. As I didn't want to deal with FSCS myself, I was happy to have EC do paperwork. Their local associate came to my house to confirm details and I felt a very good commission was agreed. After all, I didn't expect much and knew I wouldn't persue claim myself.
EC were even happy to put in plain English that no success meant no fee so any risk of time wasted was theirs.
EC were good at managing my expectations of time scale. Initially saying 12 to 15 months with regular 'all okay' emails. Suddenly after 11 months an email from FSCS with large settlement and nett funds in my account within a week. Result!
Move on 7 months and email from EC to say settlements were being reviewed by FSCS to check if they were right (work by EC behind the scenes I hadn't been aware of)
One month later and further payment for almost twice the first one lands in my account.
Of course any extra I got meant more for EC, it's a business not a charity. So self interest for them. But they were always efficient, courteous and delivered on promises.
