So far I love the chair, I would have given it 5 stars but the instruction manual needs to be updated for the proper assembly screws. Very frustrating trying to get the ones shown to work when it was the supplied longer screws needed.

Great service easy to get ahold of company

This is a very well engineered product and ideal for when you need a sectional couch in a room with an entry that there is no way you think you could get it in. We easily got the five sections up a tight spiral staircase and now we have a huge couch up there. My only criticism is that the directions for putting together the sectional are not clear. You basically get three couches and have to figure out how to make them work. I’m still not totally sure I got it right. But it looks great and is quite comfortable. I recommend it fully.

I really love this sofa. It is very easy to setup and takedown and that was my driver to make this purchase. As someone who lives in the city I switch apartments often packing my Elephant in a Box is has never been a stressful part of moving.
I was also amazed at the strength and durability of the couch. It can handle me (I am not a light dude) and my dog for all of our TV watching and Napping activities. Would 10/10 recommend.

We decided to take a chance on this brand and are glad we did.

Hassle free returns are great. So is fast shipping. However, neither of these things matter if the piece of furniture is not high quality and provide comfort. Our Small Lounge bundle including 2 ottoman is high quality and super comfortable.

The sofa and ottoman were so easy to assemble and we were relaxing on them in under 30 minutes.

We were so impressed with the sofa and ottoman that we also got the bed base/headboard. With box springs costing around $249 and waiting longer to ship, we made the order and are just as satisfied.

No to be dramatic but this is actually the absolute worst couch ever. After just over a year of owning this couch the center of it has caved in and the paper supports are completely crumbled beneath the couch. We had to stuff pillows and blankets below the cushions so it wouldn't cave in when we sat on it. Mind you I am 150lbs. I could understand if maybe a 300lb person sat on this couch every day but that's not the case. The back cushions came with no support so we requested fluffier pillows and got them, but they dont fit the couch well. For $800 this is so cheaply made and poorly thought out. I get the concept of a more transportable couch but that concept was executed so poorly. I normally don't leave a review at all but just sitting on this couch enrages me

I genuinely wish I never bought this sofa. It is less than a year after I replaced my old sofa with it and the entire thing is destroyed. We installed it properly, have not even come close to exceeding the weight limit, weren’t jumping all over it or anything like that and it’s completely broken because, spoiler alert, no matter what technology they claim goes into this folded paper does not make a functioning sofa. Now I have to buy a new sofa after wasting 850 dollars on this crap (thank god I got it on sale). Unless you want a sofa for decorative purposes to just fill a space in a room, do not buy this!!!!

Update: elephant in a box reached out to me and sent a new couch. They were super helpful and their customer service was outstanding. Will update again when I’ve used the new couch for a bit :)

Not worth the money. I appreciate the design for small spaces, and it is fairly comfortable. But they advertise pet friendly, which it is not. I've had this couch for less than a year, and it looks worn out, more like I've had it for at least 5 years. Seams have separated on all the cushions, it stains easily, and is not as easy to clean as claimed. It just looks and feels cheap, which it is NOT. Not impressed and wish I had gone with a traditional piece of furniture.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my sofa, ottoman and armrest with a desk!! I told some neighbors and I know two of them have purchased a sofa and they love theirs too!!

I will be buying a matching chair when I move and a bed frame when I move as well!

The only con to this couch is that it is a little difficult to put together. Everything else is 100% as expected and very good quality.

I received my sofa and in general, I'm happy with it. It's sturdy and works fine for my TV room. It was more difficult to put together than the video makes it look and you need someone strong to help. And the cushions are not quite as comfortable as I hoped. Also.... you can see the accordian material from the back... it needs something to cover that. But for what I needed to get into a lower level, it will work.

Good couch. It I have I have called customer service is with a concern 3 times over the past 2 weeks with no response!!

I ordered this product because we could not fit a full sized couch into our apartment. We thought that this could be a solution to that. It did fit in our apartment, but that is the only good thing I could say about this. This product is so poorly designed, the arm rest almost immediately caved in. Any sort of pressure on them will break the arm rest as it is just plywood with some super glue. The metal beams holding the structure together are incredibly flimsy and at least one of them broke completely for us. Bottom cushion of the couch is pretty comfortable, but the back pillows didnt offer much support. The paper interior of this product even began to bend and rip with every day usage. After 10 months with the couch, we decided that it was terrible and we decided to file a warranty claim with the company to get a new couch. We tried twice to reach out for a claim but were NEVER CONTACTED, terrible customer service. So, after 11 months with this product, it is now in our apartment's dumpster. A complete waste of $850. I wanted to write this review on their website, but they dont even have a spot to leave a review, shows a little bit about them as a company. Please avoid the headache and stay clear of this company and their products.

Update: I was contacted by the COO of this company shortly after posting this review. I made comments about poor customer service, but the company has been helpful now. They offered to send us a replacement unit. We denied the replacement as we picked out another sofa, so they actually refunded the entire purchase. That was extremely nice from their company!

The sofa is amazing, very comfortable, very sturdy, an amazing concept and amazing finish!

We have one in the office and it’s incredibly easy - and fun - to put together. We recently moved spaces and it was seamless. It’s the comfy couch and favorite spot of many on the team!

You’re not paying for the product. You’re paying for the lifetime warranty/customer service and the idea. The product itself seems fragile and I’d imagine that the lifetime warranty will be called on more often than not. Whether the company will honor it is the question. I live alone and putting my sofa together was possible but not recommended. My instruction manual pages were stuck together. I wish the folding parts had metal hinges and not tape. I wish the untreated particle board panels were made of treated wood or plastic. The sofa itself looks like it cost less than $100 to make. That’s an insane markup. Want a cover? Their covers will ship from 3rd party manufacturer a month later or more after receiving the sofa. Their website looks questionable. Everything about this company looks like it was rushed to market without proper QA or much thought into it. Maybe they’ll be polished in a few years or maybe they won’t exist. I guess it depends on whether they’ll be bled to death from warranty claims or the product will hold up and that profit can be used to clean up their online presence and supply chain.

Super convenient, easy to put together. Took minutes. Comfortable as well.

We are so in love with our elephant! After trying to bring a "regular" sectional into our new home and realizing it wouldn't fit/totally gashed our wall, we knew we needed a couch we could build in our basement. We found Elephant in a Box and were sold! We purchased the Large Chaise-ish and an extra ottoman. The set up process was SO FAST and easy. (and we have built a lot of furniture) Customer service was also so so helpful and kind when we had a question! We love how it looks and our 5 and 8 year old children bounce and play all over it with zero issue! Can't wait to order more pieces.

Set up was definitely difficult, but customer service was amazing with making everything right.

Going on month three, the couch is amazing. My dog loves it, my partner loves it, my friends love it, my family love it, but more importantly I love it!

I was very skeptical when pulling the couch out like an accordion. I was thinking "there is no way this honeycomb "paper" is going to hold a group of 10." To my surprise once everything was placed together it was one of the most sturdiest pieces of furniture I have sat on and THE MOST COMFORTABLE.

Naps are no longer painful I sleep like a little angel with my family during a rom-com <3

Customer Service wise this company rocks. We had several issues with our first couch, got refunded almost the entire amount, and we were sent the new version when it came out for free. Unfortunately my issue is with the product.
The first couch we got completely fell apart. Again they were great and got it resolved, but we got the new couch and my goodness. I dont know what they are putting in those cushions but they are HARD AS A ROCKKKKK. Every single time I sit on that couch for more than an hour my feet are asleep. I cant watch a full movie without having to get up and stomp my feet!
The depth is nice, but we dont like the back cushions, we just use pillows. Overall its just not very comfortable. Comfort is key when buying a couch
