Absolutely ridiculous of a company in…
Absolutely ridiculous of a company in the 21st Century. No maintenance whatsoever on their lines, unless you live in the capital of course.
In the last 3 years, they’ve been taking more than 12 hours to restore our electricity connection when down, which ironically is due to the fact that they don’t maintain their lines to begin with, no clearing of branches or anything of the sort, the men coming to here simply don’t have the time or equipment. I’ve been told several times by the company that I should go and clear the lines myself. I guess they assume I have the equipment myself. So let me grab my baby and go climb a 20metre ladder to do that.. Not to mention that they can’t tell you how to turn off the electricity on the lines yourself in order for you to do this, as it’s unsafe. You can submit a declaration for them to come and clear the branches, but so far I’m 2 years in the waiting for this to be done. They’ve acknowledged it, as they bothered calling about 3 times through the years that someone would be in touch.. Apparently.
Last time I submitted a complaint for having no electricity for 17 Days(you can read that again, yes) which btw isn’t even the first time having no power for days and days in a row I didn’t even receive a response.
The complaint before that one, the power was down for entire days for weeks on end. The comment from their customer service team then was “we’ve got a right to stop it and maintain the lines(though I’m yet to see what exactly have they improved) and if you want to know when we’re planning of doing this, check the website.” Bear in mind they don’t give you block dates in advance, they only publish those on the day itself. Day by day. So I guess I’m expected to get up and check their website every single day for planned works, but plan anyway for the unplanned emergencies. Still awaiting for someone to pay for the now 4 times I’ve lost a chest freezer worth of food, or a credit voucher for doing their job and clearing trees whenever possible ourselves.
Having said that, the ladies on the phone are great. The women in the Botevgrad office are lovely too. The men actually coming to do the job are nice too. It’s the company itself refusing to invest in their infrastructure that I imagine the problem comes from. If you are constantly hours and days behind, or the tiniest of winds gets the power down, perhaps hiring more people to catch up, won’t go amiss.
Oh and lastly the phone calls I’ve been forced to make every 2 days(not exaggerating) for the last month, several times per day, have costed me a fortune too. Just to get them to provide the service I’m paying for.
They’ve upped the price in the last year though, they must be feeling like they can justify it somehow.
