By law you need just inform them, insurance company, and they must accept details, if they not accept your new details, it is Insurance company illegal actions.
Just write Formal Letter, via email and send it ,as well same letter with signature, send via Royal mail recorded delivery.
That's all.
If they will not change your address, write Formal Complaint and after received answer, strait go to Small Claim Court, you can open online case up to £10000 compensation.

Ask cancel agreement in case as they not changed you address, as you informed them on time, provide proof of email and Recorded delivery, in the agreement, and ask compensation for small claim Court expenses, compensation for Eldon insurance as they not provide full service, and new insurance expenses.
This information just my opinion so I just share it with you.

Worst company ever!! They wrote our car off but we decided to buy it back cos all that was wrong with it was a broken bumper, but it's took nearly 3 weeks for us to get our car back even through my partner was ringing them constantly, at one time they didn't even know where our car was!! It's been a absolute joke!!

Worse insurance company EVER! Just received an email with letter attached saying they wont honour the claim as one tyre was not roadworthy - got the number plate wrong in letter for one and for another the car had just passed its MOT with no issues. Its been a catalogue of errors / misinformation on their part too; no courtesy car give even though it was in the policy, told initially garage can do the work, then told no as its not one of their recommended garages, took ages for them to collect the car for their engineers to review. Told car damage was too much and they were writing it off and gave me a settlement figure - which I agreed too. Then decided they were going to recant on the settlement and pass my case to underwriters, who had 5 working days to respond ....they took 2 weeks and now have said they wont pay out and they advise Eldon to charge ME cost of getting the car! They have NEVER called me back once to deal with this - I am chasing every week.
SO STRESSFUL!
They have take nearly 8 weeks to come to this conclusion and have been rude and unhelpful at every turn!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!
I will escalate to their senior team and then the ombudsman ASAP but WHAT A TERRIBLE COMPANY with no morals what so ever!

HEAVY HANDED ACTIONS FOR BEING ONE DAY LATE IN PAYMENT OF MONTHLY PREMIUM.
Took out Public Liability cover in July,2019,on monthly payment basis of premium of £11.92.Unfortunately on 1st,October,2019,when changing my motor vehicle,by mistake,cancelled the monthly premium payment with my Bank.On Saturday, 5th,October,received very strongly worded letter from their Credit Control(Finance Company)with severe threats for non-payment.Tried contacting Close Bros on Saturday but closed.Therefore rung first thing Monday morning ,7th,October,2019,to apologise,explain my mistake,and reinstate
monthly payment.I was told that this was not possible and an immediate penalty charge of £30 was imposed.This,I thought,grossly unfair and unreasonable and cancelled the Policy.
What would their behaviour be if I needed to make a Claim!
They harassed me with more communications by e-mail,letter ,and text messages.Currently in dispute and as they are upholding their decision and actions in process of sending file of papers to the Ombudsman.After reading these Reviews it seems like this is their normal practice!

Horrific Customer Service from their broker goskippy; if I could give minus stars I would! Contacted them today in order to discuss my renewal, for which they had quoted me £500 almost a £200 increase on last years policy! I asked if they could justify such a big increase given i have no claims and have also been a loyal customer for several years to which the advisor stated in a rude flippant manner “that’s just the price”. I explained that I’ve been quoted £350 by another company and asked if they could price match, to which they answered no and that if I wanted to cancel my policy now they would just go ahead and do it. Shocking service; totally not interested in Customer retention at all, avoid.

Dont waste your time going with this insurance company they will rip you off and treat you really bad. They never call you and try their best to no pay out. They will stretch a claim as much as they can so pls dont waste your time
Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had!
For somebody who has never had a bad experience with a single company before, I definetely have a great deal of negative opinions that I will write about, in terms of how terrible Eldon were for me.
I thought I was alone in my battle against an accident claim, but it seems as though Eldon are quite popular for their distinct lack of cooperation and communication. Eldon have absolutely no interest in fighting your corner and fail to meet their criteria for being the middle company who “deal on a best endeavours basis” for both parties.
After not hearing for about a year about anything with my case, I was then presented out of the blue with a final demand letter determining how much I needed to pay within 7 days. Absolutely no liasing with me was made at all throughout that year period. The whole experience with Eldon has caused me so much distress, that it is almost deluding how much worry and stress they have caused me.

What can I say! I am a couple of thousand out of pocket trying to claim on my comprehensive insurance. All the other Bad reviews are correct, They do not want to pay out and will try any kind of gibberish to wriggle out; It's time they were reined in.

I was with this company for 3 years. at the beginning of the year someone drove into me. but it is my word against the other person. I told this company from the beginning the reason of my trip. so my car goes away for repair and I have an hired one in the mean time. after all of this I get an email telling me they are not covering this accident because I was driving back to work. Now I'm in thousands of pounds debt and they had to cheek to email me the following day telling me they are cancelling my insurance all together and I have got 7 days to get a new one. its been a constant battle with the company and it felt like they were looking for any excuse not to cover me I would recommend to keep clear at all costs.

Southern Rock, Another company that uses a simple address-change to hike up the premium. Here I am in my posh suburb, just moved from an urban, high crime area, and they want £50 admin fee (because their website is faulty) and £280 extra for the remaining 7 months. Scandalous - I thought inflation was around 2%, but there you go.
Obviously, I told them to stick their insurance. But of course, they still got their money by charging me extortionate fees to cancel.
Furthermore, their website phone number is not connected, and they are financially associated with ELDON, so that suckers like me will land on comparison websites will think they are dealing with a nice new player in the market.....

Avoid ‘Go Skippy’ they are cheap for a reason. Very poor customer service if there’s a problem. Money was taken twice from my account instead of refunding. Took half a day and seven phone calls to resolve due to staff with little knowledge.
