Beware!!! They will ruin your business…
We have been using elavon as our merchant for the last couple of years and recently they starting delaying our payments without any contact. We are a Garden Furniture company and have been trading since 2006 with a 100% perfect record of zero charge backs and zero fraudulent sales. This company has absolutely no understanding of seasonal business so BEWARE! They flagged our account as we became busier than other months in April, really? A company selling garden products becomes busy in April! They have given us just 4 WORKING DAYS to replace them as a merchant or they are demanding £394,000 be transferred in to their bank by 13th May and held as a security deposit. We are now looking at trading through our busiest period of the year without being able to take a payment!!!

I was due to receive a payment on…
I was due to receive a payment on Saturday 18th April, but due to a “technical issue” on their side, it never arrived. Since then, I’ve called every single day and have been repeatedly assured that it would be resolved “soon.”
It’s now been 8 days—and nothing.
No resolution, no clear timeline, no real sense of urgency. Just the same reassurances over and over again. At this point, it feels like I’m being fobbed off with words rather than seeing any actual effort to fix the problem.
This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s impacting real business operations. I’ve had to scramble to cover wages and ongoing expenses while waiting for money that should have been in my account over a week ago.
You have to wonder: if this were their own money, would it still be taking this long?
For a company handling other people’s cash flow, this level of delay and lack of accountability is simply not acceptable

Appalling Service
I had an email to say that my contract was up for renewal and a special offer awaited me if I renewed for another year.
I asked the account manager to keep everything the same as it has been for the last few years, if they could work something out on debit and credit card fees great, but other than that I was satisfied.
When my next bill came it was 40% higher than previous years. They added fees, charges / services that I hadn’t asked for which I found extremely deceptive. I called customer services and was told the account manager would get back to me which she failed to do. I emailed her, but to no avail. I made an official complaint which was upheld. However not everything has been fully resolved. Despite emailing the complaints department to ask them to call me to discuss the matter I have been ignored. The same with my account manager, constantly ignores my emails. I had called the complaints department several times this past 2 weeks and listen to music saying that my call will be answered. This week alone 2.5 hours on hold. Call to customer services and they say my account manager will call me back and she doesn’t! The service is a disgrace and it seems that no one likes to take responsibility or ownership of an issue. I have been a customer of theirs for 8 years and their service has gone rapidly down hill this past year.
It’s such a shame as in previous years I have had outstanding service. I very much doubt I will be renewing any future contracts with Elavon.
